Sorry for the delay. I have been working on this chapter off and on since the last one. I hope everyone had a good Christmas and New Years.
A week later, Billy had a nightmare. He was in his office when Leonard ran in. "Leonard is everything alright?" He asked.
"No, Sheldon was in my lab I was doing an experiment and he drunk something he shouldn't have," Leonard said.
"Is he alright?' Billy asked.
"No I mixed some household cleaners and some other toxic liquids to see what would happen. I left to get dress so I can work with some radiation, while I was gone Sheldon walked in and drunk it. When I realized what he did, I spilled the radiation. Not thinking I ran out and closed the door. Now he's a mutant," Leonard said.
"Only Sheldon," Billy said.
"I think this calls for an evacuation," Leonard said.
"Is he out, Is anywhere else but your lab contaminated?" Billy asked.
"It's hard to say," Leonard said before they heard footsteps.
Billy and Leonard stuck their heads out and saw a gray creature with the legs and tail of a T Rex, the upper body of a lizard, and the head of a bald man.
"Sheldorf has come to take over the world," it said.
Everybody ran out of the building. Outside Howard asked, "Why is there a mutant running around that kind of sounds like Sheldon?"
"It's mostly my fault with Sheldon being in the wrong place at the wrong time," Leonard said.
"What are we going to do?" Raj asked.
"I don't know about you, but I think I am going to resign," Leonard said.
"I'm sure somebody will stop him," Howard said.
"Oh maybe Amy can have a lab accident and they can be mutant freaks together," Raj said.
Leonard turned to ask Billy a question, but he was already speeding out of the parking lot.
"I hope everyone still has their coins and morphers," Billy mumbled.
On the way home, Billy called Jason.
"Hey man, what's going on?" Jason asked.
"Do you think you still have your old coin?" Billy asked.
"Yeah, it worked when I went to the moon," Jason asked.
"I heard about that, do you think Trini has hers?" Billy asked.
"I think, unless it got lost," Jason said.
"We might need them," Billy said.
"Who returned?" Jason asked.
"Nobody, Sheldon was in a lab accident and he turned into a mutant," Billy said.
"Sheldon, you mean my neighbor?" Jason asked.
"Yes," Billy said.
"A couple of months ago, my kids found Tommy's dragon coin at the Angel Grove Park, I kept it and I been meaning to give it to him," Jason said.
"I believe that would be from his clone, After you, Trini, and Zack left, Rita created an evil clone. Tommy turned it good and sent it back in time," Billy said.
I'll see if Trini still has hers," Jason said.
"Ok I'll talk to you later," Billy said.
"Ok, bye," Jason said.
"Now to call Zack," Billy mumbled.
Billy called the number of Zack's work.
"Two T records," a woman answered.
"Yes Zack Taylor's office please," Billy said.
"I don't know if he's in but one moment please," the receptionists said.
After a few rings Billy got Zack's voice mail.
He decided to leave one, "Zack it's Billy. I need you to call me as soon as possible. It's an emergency."
Before Billy could call Kim, he got a call.
"Hello Kat,"he said.
"What happened at the university? I see on TV a mutant causing havoc down there," she said.
"To make a long story short, Sheldon caused an accident. The mutant is him. I am trying to get the original rangers together," Billy said.
"Aren't you and the others a little old to play super hero?" Kat asked.
"I don't think the Megaforce rangers will come, and it was the first thing I thought of when Leonard and I saw Sheldon as a mutant," Billy said.
"I hope your plan works and you will be safe," Kat said.
"Me too," Billy said.
"Do the others know?" Kat asked.
"I haven't called Kim yet, and Zack didn't answer his phone. I did ask Jason if he and Trini have their coins. Jason found the coin Tommy's clone used, so I just have to let Tommy know," Billy said.
"I think when Adam helped one of Tommy's rangers and a few other defeat Thrax, the rest of our coins were re activated," Kat said.
"I sure hope so," Billy said.
Billy got a call on the other line.
"I got to go, Kim is beeping in," He said before switching over. "Hey Kim what's up?" He asked.
"I'm at Jason's and he told me what's going on. Do you think we can fix things?" She asked.
"Knowing Sheldon, we can't fix him per say, but I think we can get him to be a human again," Billy said.
"Jason just asked if we can turn Sheldon normal," Kim said.
"I don't know if any ranger team can do that," Billy said.
"So what's the plan?" Kim asked.
"Do you have your power coin and morpher?" Billy asked.
"I believe so, wait you want us to turn him back to normal?" Kim asked.
"Normal and Sheldon do not go together. Anyways, I'm almost home do you think you can come by?" Billy asked.
"Yea, let me get a hold of Tommy and get my coin. Give me an hour or more," Kim said.
A few minutes later, Billy got home and Zack returned Billy's call.
"Hey Billy do you need something?" He asked.
"Are you alone?" Billy asked.
"Yeah, I just got into my office, what's up?" Zack asked
"I have a favor to ask you. A PR one," Billy said.
Zack shut his door then he said," Who is back?"
"Nobody, a colleague of mine got into a lab accident and he is now a mutant. Do you have your power coin and morpher, and will you be willing to help turn him back into himself?" Billy asked.
"How much danger is the world in?" Zack asked.
"Hard to say, Sheldon is one of the most intelligent people I know, yet he is self-centered and lack street smarts," Billy said.
"What will he do? Turn us into intelligent people like him?" Zack joked.
"Maybe," Billy said.
"You're kidding right?" Zack asked.
"I just don't know," Billy said.
"I don't have anything important the rest of the day, so I'll run home and get my coin. I should be at your place in a couple of hours or less," Zack said.
"Ok, bye," Billy said.
A few minutes later, Jason showed up.
A little over an hour later, Tommy and Kim walked in when Tommy said, "I hope this guy doesn't have the split personality like Anton did."
"I don't think the creature would have the same evil goal as Mesogog did," Billy said.
"He talks like he is smarter than everyone else," Jason said.
"Oh great not another brain, no offense Billy," Kim said.
"None taken, I accept that everyone doesn't have the intelligence that I do. However Sheldon doesn't," Billy said.
"You did do a lot for us back in the day," Tommy said.
"Thanks," Billy said.
"No problem," Tommy said.
"Oh , by the way, here Tommy," Jason said.
"Wow my old green ranger coin," Tommy said.
"The kids found it at the Angel Grove Park a few months ago," Jason.
"Thanks," Tommy said.
Then Trini called Jason.
"Hey Trini," Jason said.
"I'm coming home early. A mutant is on the loose and my boss told us to go home," she said.
"About that," Jason said.
"Did something happen to Billy?" Trini asked.
"Billy no, but somebody that we know who works at Cal Teach," Jason said.
"I don't like the sound of that," Trini said.
"Billy thinks we can turn Sheldon back into his old self," Jason said.
"Can't we make him normal?" Trini asked.
"I don't think we are that powerful," Jason said.
"Great, well I'm on the third floor," Trini said.
"When you get in to the apartment, see if you can find your coin and morpher and come to Billy's," Jason said.
"Ok bye," Trini said.
She hung up before she reached the fourth floor. On the fourth floor, she saw Penny, who was about to leave for work.
"Oh hey Trini, you're home early," Penny said.
"Yea, there is a mutant lose in the city. We got sent home," Trini said.
"Did Leonard create an experiment that went wrong?" Penny ask.
"I don't know. From what Jason said, it sounds like Sheldon is the mutant," Trini said.
"Well that is something he can cross off of his bucket list," Penny said.
Penny's cell phone rung.
When she go off the phone she said, "Well now I got the day off. Sheldon destroyed the entrance to the Cheesecake Factory and my boss decided to close for the day."
"Well enjoy your day off," Trini said.
Penny went back into her apartment while Trini went up to hers.
"Now where did we put those?" Trini wondered.
She checked the 'jewelry box'.
"Bingo, wait Jason must have his morpher. Why didn't he grab mine?" She wondered.
She put her morpher in her purse and went downstairs. Just as she was getting into her car, Zack arrived at Billy's.
"Alright, as soon as Trini get's here we should be set," Billy said.
"Before I got out of my car, the radio station said the mutant was at the Pasadena Train Store," Zack said.
"That doesn't surprise me, Leonard told me Sheldon loves trains," Billy said.
A few minutes later, Trini arrived.
"We have to get to the Pasadena Train Store soon," she said.
"He doesn't sound like an evil villain," Zack said.
He has already been to my work, several different labs, and the Cheesecake Factory," Trini said.
"All of that running around must made him hungry," Tommy joked.
"Let's go, I can fit all of us in my van," Billy said.
A few minutes later, they arrive at the train store. They found a spot to morph.
"I can't believe it worked," Tommy said.
"I guess the coins still have some power left," Billy said.
"Power Rangers, what are you doing here?" Sheldon asked.
"We're here to stop you," Jason said.
"I don't think so. My super powerful mutation ray is charging up. Soon I'll just shoot the sun and by tomorrow morning, everyone will be just like me," Sheldon said.
"Yep similar motive as Mesogog," Tommy said.
"Now if you excuse me, I'm going to the comic book store," Sheldon said.
"Oh no you don't," Jason said.
The rangers starting attacking, but Sheldon was too much for them.
"Man becoming a mutant has made him stronger," Billy said.
"I know, when he's human, he looks weak," Jason said.
"Let's try our Blade Blasters," Kim said.
The shots from the blasters didn't harm Sheldon.
"I can't even get a hit on him," Tommy said.
"Let's put the Power Blaster together!" Jason ordered.
The blast was enough to turn Sheldon back to normal.
"What happened?" Sheldon asked.
"You were a mutant who wanted to turn everyone else into a mutant," Billy said.
"Huh, you're right. I have to stop the device. Unless I can cause it to turn everyone into a super genius," Sheldon said.
Meanwhile, Leonard was flipping through the TV when he saw a news report.
"I don't know if I should think the rangers for bringing him back or not," he said.
Billy let out a scream when he woke up.
"What's wrong?" Kat asked.
"I had a nightmare. Sheldon interfered with one of Leonard's experiments which lead to him becoming a mutant. He built a device that was capable of turning everyone into a mutant," Billy said.
"No more food from the Golden Dragon for you," Kat said.
