Hey guys sorry it has been a few months since an update. I thought I was done with this story but this idea came to me.
The next night, Raj, Howard, Bernadette, Amy, and Penny were at Sheldon and Leonard's apartment.
"You know, it seems odd that some people say they are of a different nationality when they are American. I mean I can say I'm Indian and it's true or Jason's wife above us can say she's from whatever country she was born in," Raj said.
"Sheldon though she was Chinese," Leonard said.
"That was one of the few mistakes I have made," Sheldon said.
Only a few? Leonard thought.
"Here we are with another odd conversation," Amy said.
"Raj, you do know that America is home to many people whose ancestors came from different countries," Sheldon said.
"For example, my madden name is of Polish decent," Bernadette said.
"Why don't people just say they are of some decent?" Raj asked.
"It's implied," Sheldon said.
"Moving on, has anyone ever notice Stewart hardly gets any business, well other than you four," Bernadette said.
"I have talked to him about ways to attract more people," Raj said.
"I like it how it is," Sheldon said.
"How about a karaoke night?" Amy asked.
"Amy, please, it's a comic book store not a karaoke bar. The majority of people who frequent there love comic books, and other such things. I highly doubt that any of them would be interested in karaoke, let alone that bring in new business," Sheldon said.
"I don't know Sheldon, a karaoke night sounds like fun," Howard said.
"If you want to change his shop then he should move it to a cirrus tent and have lions, tigers, and bears," Sheldon said.
"Oh my," Penny said.
"I got an idea for a special event. If everybody still has the Power Ranger costumes from Halloween we could spend the day there posing as the real Power Rangers and taking pictures with innocent people," Raj said.
"If we did do this, we might need a new blue and pink ranger," Sheldon said.
"I agree, I don't think Billy and Kat were thrilled with the costume party," Howard said.
"You do realize that the real Power Rangers had super human strength and kicked alien butt. The four of us on the other hand," Leonard said.
"It's not like you can get six martial artist to agree to play Power Rangers for a day," Penny said.
"Besides, you would have to clear the idea with Stewart, it is his store," Amy said.
"I'm sure he would be open to anything that has the potential to being in costumers. Jason from 5A runs a karate school, next time I see him I might run this idea by him," Leonard said.
"I'm sure he could pull that off," Sheldon said.
"Because he runs a karate school?" Amy asked.
"That and he scares me," Sheldon said.
Everyone rolled their eyes.
"Tomorrow I'll go to the comic book store and tell Stewart our idea," Raj said.
"How do you know if Jason will agree to play a Power Ranger? Not everyone is into cos play," Penny said.
"Who said I was going to mention playing Power Rangers? I'll just ask him if he will be interested in doing some basic martial arts in hopes that people will come to our favorite comic book store," Leonard said.
"You might want to mention the store owner is our friend," Raj said.
"Got it," Leonard said.
"Who said it's cos play?" People dress up as different characters for special events at stores," Howard said.
"I doubt they do it for free," Sheldon said.
"Considering Stewart doesn't have a lot of money, I think we should pay whoever we can get," Leonard said.
"I'm not cashing anymore of my checks," Sheldon said.
"You do realize that after so long, you can't cash them right?" Leonard asked.
"Oh, in that case I got some envelopes to open," Sheldon said.
The next day, Raj stepped out of the office to talk to Billy. That was long enough for Sheldon to record a video, e-mail it to Raj, then e-mail it from Raj's e-mail to Leonard. Leonard's phone alerted him that he got an e-mail.
Why would Raj e-mail me with his university e-mail address? Leonard wondered.
He opened it up and a video of Sheldon appeared.
"Hello fake father to be. I hacked Raj's e-mail while he out of the office to say one thing. Bazinga that is all," he said then the video ended.
I got to tell Raj to change his password. Leonard thought.
After work, Raj went to the comic book store. Stewart said he was up for anything that could bring people in, but he didn't know how people dressed up as Power Rangers would go.
"Have I ever let you down?" Raj asked.
"What about the online dating profiles?" Stewart asked.
"I meant when it comes to planning an event," Raj said.
"Well no, but why Power Rangers?" Stewart asked.
"I don't know, maybe because the particular team we have in mind was real. Besides if you say Superman, Spiderman, Batman, or any other comic book super hero will show up, people will know it's really somebody dressed up as them. If Leonard can get the right six people, somebody might think they are meeting the real rangers," Raj said.
"I doubt that anyone would believe they are meeting the real rangers," Stewart said.
"True, but does Capitol Comics have anyone who dresses up as a superhero?" Raj asked.
"No, then again that store is a lot better than mine. Just once I would love to out do that jerk of an owner," Stewart said.
"Easy, there dude," Raj said.
"Sorry, but I hate that guy," Stewart said.
Meanwhile Leonard was checking his mail while Jason was about to walk outside.
"Hey Jason, do you have a minute?" Leonard asked.
"Only if it's quick, I need to get to my studio," Jason said.
Last night the guys and I were talking. We came up with an idea of how to help a buddy of ours out with his struggling comic book store. Would you be interested in performing some basic martial arts at the store for one Saturday?" Leonard asked.
"Just one Saturday?" Jason asked.
"Yes, oh if you have any friends who are skilled in martial arts and who are free on Saturday's they could come. In fact the more the merrier," Leonard said.
"I'll get back to you," Jason said.
He walked outside. That night he told Trini what Leonard asked him.
"I bet Tommy will go for it," she said.
"Don't you mean you want him to come and bring Kim so the two of you can spend the day?" Jason asked.
"Yep," Trini said.
"Maybe you could join us any that might get some more girls interested in martial arts," Jason said.
"If I did that, I'm sure the kids wouldn't mind spending the day with Kim," Trini said.
"Or you could bring them to the store," Jason said.
"I'm sure Kim would like to see Tommy work out again," Trini said.
"Who says she doesn't?" Jason asked.
A few days later after work Jason knocked on Sheldon and Leonard's door. Sheldon answered the door.
"Ah Jason, I haven't bother you or your wife so I don't think you came here to beat me up," he said.
"Nope, is Leonard here?" Jason asked.
Leonard was in the kitchen when he said, "Jason what bring you by?"
"I thought about what you asked me the other day and I accept. Trini is thinking about doing it also. "Trini is more than welcome to join you," Leonard said.
"Thanks, I'll see you guys around," Jason said before he walked up to his apartment.
Leonard notice a worried look on Sheldon's face.
"Is there a problem buddy?" He asked.
"You didn't tell Jason that we want him to dress up as a Power Ranger did you?" Sheldon asked.
"No I told him that we would like it if he would do some basic martial arts at the store," Leonard said.
"Oh, do you realize that not only can Jason kick our butts, but his wife can? Not to mention anyone who he, Jason, gets to do this probably can too," Sheldon said.
"Now that you put it that way, I never thought about that," Leonard said.
"What would we be if we were attached to another object by an inclined plane, wrapped helically around an axis?" Sheldon asked.
"You're right, we're screwed," Leonard said.
A few minutes later, Jason called Tommy.
"What's up bro?" Tommy asked.
"The other day one of my neighbors asked me if I would be willing to show some basic martial arts at a local store. Him and his friends thought it would bring in more business if somebody did something. Today I agreed to it and I asked if I could invite you. He agreed and said the more the merrier. I don't know when it will happen, but would you and Kim be interested in coming to Pasadena for a Saturday? I'm sure Trini would love to hang out with Kim," Jason said.
"Sounds great, maybe we can get the others to come," Tommy said.
"I don't think there will be enough room for every single former rangers," Jason said.
"Ha ha, I meant our teammates from when we were in high school," Tommy said.
"I know, I was just giving you a hard time," Jason said.
"Let me know when it will be and I'll see if I can show up," Tommy said.
"Sounds great see you later," Jason said before they hung up.
The next chapter probably will be up soon.
