The next day Stewart called Raj.
"Hey Stewart," Raj said.
"Hey Raj I've been thinking do you think you can get enough people to play Power Rangers two weeks from this Saturday?" Stewart asked.
"Yea sure, in fact we have two maybe three people lined up," Raj said.
"Do they know they are playing Power Rangers?" Stewart asked.
"No, they think they will be demonstrating basic martial arts moves as their selves," Raj said.
"I hope I don't get sued, I can't afford it," Stewart said.
"Leonard already told one of the guys that it was our idea, so if anyone gets sued it might be Leonard," Raj said.
"That's good, but what if they want to sue the store?" Stewart asked.
"That would be the worst thing in the world," Raj said.
"Tell me about it," Stewart said.
"I better get back to work, I'll talk to you later," Raj said.
"Ok," Stewart said before they hung up.
At lunch Raj told Leonard what date Stewart picked out.
"I'll tell Jason then he can tell any of his friends he can for that day," Leonard said.
"Salutations guys," Billy said.
"Hey Billy," Leonard, Sheldon. Howard and Raj said in unison.
"Say Billy, earlier this week we were talking and we got the idea to ask your friend Jason to perform some basic martial arts at the comic book store. Stewart suggested two weeks from this Saturday. Leonard told Jason he can bring whomever he can get. How many people do you think he can get?" Sheldon asked.
"Trini is coming," Leonard said.
"I think he could get maybe three or four that are excellent martial artist. Including Kat and myself, maybe another five who could do the basics," Billy said.
"Interesting," Sheldon said.
So maybe ten or eleven people will kick our buts. Leonard thought.
"Are there any single women he may ask?" Raj asked.
"Sorry man, they are all taken," Billy said.
Only Raj would ask a question like that. Howard thought.
On the way home Sheldon said, "Leonard, I'm afraid that this will backfire on us."
"I know what you mean," Leonard said.
"Perhaps we should somehow try to figure out the sizes of the costumes we need," Sheldon said.
"How do we do that without saying Hey we want you to dress up as Power Rangers, what size costume do you wear?" Leonard asked sarcastically.
"Leave that up to me," Sheldon said.
We are going to be screwed a lot sooner than in two weeks. Leonard thought.
When Sheldon and Leonard entered the building, they found Trini checking her mail.
"Ah Trini, so nice to see you," Sheldon said.
"Hi guys," Trini said.
"Has Jason said anything about us wanting him to preform some basic martial arts at a comic book store?" Leonard asked.
"Yes he has," Trini said.
"Oh great, I was thinking," Sheldon said.
Oh boy. Leonard thought while rolling his eyes.
"I think it will be nice if everyone dressed all the same. If you or Jason could tell me, maybe a few days ahead of time, how many people are coming and what size of karate robe they wear we should be able to offer new robes," Sheldon said.
"You won't have the name of the comic book store on the back of the robes will you?" Trini asked.
"Why would we do that?' Sheldon asked.
"What Sheldon means is no, we just want everyone to dress alike, our treat," Leonard said.
"Um alright, I'll tell Jason," Trini said.
"Great," Sheldon and Leonard said in unison.
"I better get back up to my apartment," Trini said.
"Bye," Sheldon and Leonard said in unison.
When they got to their apartment Leonard said, "Nice cover up."
"Thanks," Sheldon said.
That night Trini told Jason what Leonard and Sheldon said.
"I have a funny feeling we will be promoting something," Jason said.
"Probably, or we're being roped into dressing up as comic book heroes," Trini said.
"That sounds more like it," Jason said.
"So let's just play along until we know what we got ourselves into," Trini said.
"Deal," Jason said.
The next day Sheldon and Leonard walked downstairs while Jason walked upstairs.
"Hey guys," Jason said.
"Hi," Sheldon and Leonard said in unison.
"Judging by the fact you are going upstairs I think you forgot something," Sheldon said.
"No actually one of the boys forgot his lunch and I went to their school to give it to him," Jason said.
"At least I was right that someone forgot something," Sheldon said.
"Um Jason do you think you can get any of your friends together for two weeks from Saturday?" Leonard asked.
"Yea I think they can make it," Jason said.
"Great, well we'll talk to u later," Leonard said.
"Alright you guys have a good day," Jason said.
"Thanks you too," Leonard said.
When they walked out of the building Sheldon said, "Uh oh."
"What's wrong?" Leonard asked.
"I forgot that my sister is going to project her baby any day now. I'm going back home for the event," Sheldon said.
"Aw that's nice Uncle Sheldon," Leonard said.
"I prefer to be called Uncle Dr. Copper."
"So, you don't know if you will be around to get beat up by Jason and his friends?" Leonard asked.
"Yes," Sheldon said.
"Well if I'm not home when you get back, you'll know what happened," Leonard said.
"Got it," Sheldon said.
Sheldon put Leonard in charge of making sure everything goes according to plan, in case he wasn't around. Over the next week Jason got a yes from Trini, Rocky, Adam, Aisha, and Tommy. Kim, Kat, and Billy said they would show up but she wasn't comfortable doing martial arts. Tanya said she would show up but she was unsure if she wanted to do any martial arts and Zack was unsure if he could make it. The day of the event all the former ranger, except for Zack, showed up at the comic book store.
Sheldon saw Kim and said, "Look Bernadette, somebody your size."
This made Tommy and Kim mad. Only the former rangers noticed his eyes flash green.
"I might be small, but I'm stronger than I look," Kim said.
"You have a lot of nerve buddy!" Tommy said.
"Before you two break him in half, you should know that Sheldon was only joking," Leonard said.
He's in for it now. Trini thought.
I don't know what your problem is, but a couple of your friends aren't much taller than my wife!" Tommy said.
"Sheldon thinks he's funnier then he really is. That and he lacks social skills," Howard said.
"Are you getting this recorded?" Leonard asked Raj.
"If this goes on Twitter the hash tag might be 'Don't make fun of short people'," Leonard said.
"He is the one who came up with the Halloween costume idea," Billy said.
"Before I become a human pretzel, Stewart be a lamb and show the six martial artist what they will be wearing. Come on Amy, I need to get to the airport," Sheldon said.
At this point, I'm afraid to find out what we will be wearing. Tommy thought.
Stewart took Jason, Tommy, Adam, Rocky, Aisha, and Trini into the back room.
"Why is Amy taking him to the airport?" Kim asked.
"He doesn't have his license," Leonard said.
"Did he get them taken away?" Tanya asked.
"He clams he is to evolve to drive," Howard said.
"You have to know him to understand him," Leonard said.
"We had a feeling that they wanted us to dress up as super heroes, but we never imagine these," Jason said.
"I agreed to this hoping that people will actually come and buy some comics," Stewart said.
"I agreed to this because I thought girls would see a woman doing martial arts and that might get them to want to do it. Nobody will know a woman is in the costume," Trini said.
"Don't beat me up, I'm just the lonely comic book store owner," Stewart said.
"Excuse me for a moment," Jason said.
As soon as Jason walked out of the back he said, "HOFSTADTER YOU AND COPPER ARE DEAD MEN!"
"I guess you don't like the costumes," Leonard said.
"Costumes?" I thought you bought them matching robes," Tanya said to Leonard.
"We said that so nobody would back out after you found out what we came up with," Leonard said.
"I'm afraid to find out what you came up with," Kim said.
"Right now I'm thinking I should have taken Sheldon to the airport," Leonard said.
"Sucks to be you and Sheldon right now," Howard said.
"Raj suggested the four of us posing as Power Rangers," Leonard said.
Suddenly, a glove flew from the back room.
"What's that?" Raj asked noticing something came out of the back.
Billy walked over to it.
"It's a glove from a Power Rangers costume," he said.
"Really Power Rangers?" Kim asked.
"Looks like it might be from a team before I moved to Angel Grove," Tanya said.
"Yes it is," Billy said.
Good thing I declined. Billy thought.
I don't think they know about Alpha or any of the villains. Kat thought.
"You offered to pay them $350 for this?" Kim asked holding up the glove.
"We didn't think anyone would do it for free," Leonard said.
Jason went in the back and said, "Look guys, I'm not happy about this, but we did volunteer to do some martial arts."
"At least you didn't have to drive over 100 miles," Tommy said.
"Or through L.A. this morning," Rocky said.
"We are getting paid for this," Jason said.
"Knowing Sheldon like I do, I don't think he came up with this all by himself," Trini said.
"I guess we have to do something, so how do we decide who wears what color? I mean both Trini and I were yellow and Jason and Rocky were both red," Aisha said.
"Jason picked up the pink costume and said, "This one is an adult small."
"Good thing nobody will be here dressed as putties," Rocky said.
"I hope you didn't jinx us," Adam said.
Rocky tossed a costume to Tommy and said, "Here Tommy catch."
"You do know this would unofficially be my fifth color," Tommy said.
"It makes sense, besides you are the multi color ranger," Rocky said.
The others chuckled.
"Ha ha very funny," Tommy said throwing it back to Rocky.
The guys came out in their regular clothes.
"We are going to do it, the girls are getting dressed. Where's Leonard?" Jason asked.
"Restroom," Raj said.
"I think he might be hiding," Bernadette said.
I wonder if anyone tried to get Tommy to wear the blue costume? That way he could have five different colors, even if the fifth one is for pretend. Kim thought.
"Whoever will wear the blue costume lost a glove," Kim said holding it up.
"It must have flew up here while we were deciding who will wear what color," Rocky said.
"When will Sheldon be back?" Jason asked.
"Sometime tomorrow night," Howard said.
The girls came out of the back room doing cartwheels.
"Look Aunt Kim, it's the same costume mommy wore," Billy and Kat's son David said.
"Aunt Kim?" Raj asked.
"In high school we hung out so much it felt like we were family," Kim said.
Nice cover up. Trini thought.
Good thing Leonard's mom isn't here. I don't think she knows about the Halloween party. I bet she would have something to say about me wearing the yellow costume and then a woman wearing the yellow costume. Raj thought.
What would mother say to Raj if she knew about the costume party and today? Leonard thought.
While the guys were finishing getting dress Adam said, "Good thing we aren't fighting in these costumes, I don't know if they could hold up."
"I know what you mean. Good thing this sword isn't Saba," Tommy said.
"Afraid that if Saba was here he might say something?" Rocky asked.
"No, I just wouldn't know how to explain a talking sword," Tommy said.
"You could say it's Rocky doing the voice," Adam said.
"Very funny, remember Tommy that's my wife in the pink costume, not yours," Rocky said.
"Just be glad the tall skinny guy didn't call your wife short," Tommy said.
"That's Sheldon for you. Social interaction is not his thing," Jason said.
"Maybe one weekend we should show up at his door, in costume," Tommy said.
Tommy put the helmet on when he said, "I never thought I would be wearing anything like this again."
"I would ask how does it feel to not have all of that hair in your helmet, but I remember hearing about you being stuck in your Dino Thunder suit," Adam said.
"Let's get the show on the road," Tommy said.
Shortly after the guys walked out of the back people started coming.
"Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, who's ready to see the Power Rangers showing off their fighting?" Stewart asked.
After Leonard came out of the restroom he asked Howard, "Do you think they want to beat me up?"
"We'll see if they use you as a practice dummy," Howard said.
"After they show off their moves, you will have a chace to get you picture taken with them," Stewart said.
Jason and Tommy took turns leading the demonstrations.
Just like old times. Kim thought.
In the photo ops session, Kim and Tanya got in line to get their pictures taken with their husbands. After an hour and a half of picture-taking the crowd left.
"Just the few hours of martial arts and picture-taking really brought in the money. I've already made more today then I usually do on a Saturday before Chrismas," Stewart said.
When Rocky took his helmet off he said, "Come on guys let's go find a place to eat. I'm hungry."
"You're always hungry," Aisha said.
"I like the Cheesecake Factory," Jason said.
"You and your friends won't be there tonight will you?" Bill asked Leonard.
He shook his head no then he paid Jason, Trini, Rocky, Adam, Aisha, and Tommy. Penny walked in and asked how did it go.
"Oh you know, Sheldon and I getting threaten to be beaten up by guys in super hero costumes," Leonard said.
"Ouch next time anyone of you get an idea like this maybe you should think about trying to get a singer to perform. Maybe if we get a hold of Kira Ford's agent she might agree to sing a few songs here," Penny said.
"I take it you're a fan of Kira Ford. I was her high school science teacher," Tommy said.
Penny turned around and saw another one of her favorite singers Tanya Slone.
"OMG Tanya Slone what are you doing here?" Penny asked.
"My husband and our friends dressed up as Power Rangers, did some martial arts, and had their pictures taken with fans," Tanya said.
"So how did the audition go?" Leonard asked Penny.
"I got the part. I will be in a commercial with William Shatner," Penny said.
"Sheldon would be so jealous," Leonard said.
"I figured you, Raj, and Howard would be too," Penny said.
On the way to the Cheesecake Factory Jason said to Trini, "Next time we are moving, I think we need to get to know the neighbors before we agree where to move to."
A week later, Amy and Penny were hanging out with Sheldon and Leonard in their apartment. Somebody knocked on the door and Leonard got up to answer it.
"I am so glad my dream of you announcing you are pregnant at Christmas did not come true," Sheldon said to Penny.
When Leonard opened the door he saw Jason, Trini, Aisha, Rocky, Adam, and Tommy in costume.
He turned towards Sheldon and said, "Oh look who's here Sheldon."
"Oh dear," Sheldon said.
There you have it the final chapter of the crossover. Don't forget to review.
