The frozen water melted from the tope of the roofs of the houses, dripping to the ground below. The river's sprang anew as the thick layer of cold over it thawed and plants came sprang back into their green life. A gentle breeze began to soar throughout the small town being a surprisingly warm air with it as it went. At last spring had come. Everyone knew that this was the time that Ra appeared and they all crowded before Hylia's palace in hopes to get a look or just a simple glance at the glorious King of the gods, the second creator of the universe. For without him they would not be. The people of the Golden Goddess' watched as Ra came through the green trees gleaming gold like his sun clear and bright. Dressed in the color of his sun along with a golden sash about his thin waist where in the middle was a sign of the sun. Besides him walked a young woman with dark black hair cut short to about her neck. Black rimmed bright golden eyes that were the same her masters. She was dressed in a simple long cream colored shirt and white matching pants typical of the inhabitance of a desert. On her back was a heavy looking sword where jewels could be seen encrusted into the very hilt. It seemed to reach the very ground and was held up by a sash similar to what Ra had. The people watched in awe and respect as was their duty as the Deity and its Warrior passed them by.
"Tell me, Tefunt. How Is your sister fairing these days?" Ra asked the girl, as they went through the village invisible yet visible through the crown of people bowing to them as the two of them went by.
"She is doing very well for her condition my king. Thank-you for asking," Tefnut said with a small smile as Hylia's castle loomed before her eyes. Glinting white against her masters blessing to this world. "I heard that the three Golden Goddess created their people so that they are able to hear the voices of the gods?" she asked looking at the long elegant looking pointed ears as she passed their possessors by.
"Yes. Unlike most who have to prey just to hear us speak to them."
"Fascinating," Tefnut said softly, as she watched the people go silent as if in respect before the duo vanished before the town.
...
Rhea shifted uncomfortably in her stiff gown standing right next to Hylia as it silently watched the white frost melt away and drip down from the window with a slight frown on her face. Through it she watched as two figures, draped in the image of the sun, made their way through the village and through the invisible barrier. ...Why exactly did Hylia need a barrier for anyway?
Quite suddenly there was a strange sensation of warmth begin to spread through her entire being spreading from her center to the tips of her fingers. And it only deepened as the doors were suddenly opened and the all mighty King of the Gods walked inside the transparent halls. By his side there was a woman by his side who was looking around in polite wonder.
Hylia smiled and walked towards the two of them, holding its left hand to its still heart.
"Ra, King of all of the Gods and Goddess.' I thank-you deeply for this visit. And Tefnut, blessed Warrior of Ra. To you as well," Hylia said, bowing in respect and smiling at the being in gold before her and at the stiffly, straight backed looking young woman next to him.
Tefnut smiled and bowed to the White Goddess and the younger one beside her.
"I am honored to be allowed to be in your line of sight," Tefnut said, her voice was respectable and clear as well as making making it apparent to Rhea that this was not usually the case for her in these kind of situations. But the look on her face made it highly doubt that.
"It is always a pleasure," Hylia," However... I do find that the air here is... too cold," Ra said, smilingly at the White Goddess as it chuckled slightly. The God king's golden eyes then turned to the younger Goddess.
"I have heard of your deeds through Hylia, young Goddess. Such power to appear so quickly is a rarity. Even in gods. I believe you will be doing great things in the near future..."
"Thanks," Rhea said dully, while making the smallest of attempts at a respectable bow ever to be made in the long history of the Gods while placing her left fist over her heart and placing her right one behind her back.
"You dare to act and speak so loftily to your king after he has just payed you a compliment like that?!" Tefnut demanded, distaste sowed into the very fabric of her words.
"Tefnut, that is enough," Ra reprimanded, startling the girl slightly.
"You are right... Forgive me. It was unwise of me to speak to you, a Goddess, like that," she said, bowing with her left hand over her betting heart and lowering her eyes to. Her attitude was forcibly respectful though when she raised her eyes to Rhea again they seemed to say. Even one that is as inept as you are...
Rhea frowned and when the other two were not looking stuck her tongue out at her. Tefnut rolled her eyes and sighed. Honestly... what was Hylia doing wasting her unending time on this one? she thought as said Goddess ushered them into a large sitting room.
...
"I call it... German." Rhea said smiling as she sipped her strange drink that she called coffee.
"It has... an ugly and very rough touch to it," Tefnut said mutedly, a look of slight disgust in her eyes as she took a sip of her tea and sighed reverently. A look of relief about her face. "Thank-you for the cup, it is very well needed," said said softly and respectively to Hylia.
"Not just that. But I am in the process of creating another language called French, Italian and Spanish as well as others. I haven't found a name for some of them as of yet... maybe I should call one... Russian," the Grey Goddess continued, making little to no sigh that she had heard Tefnut's comment. Said Warrior glared over the top of her cup at it. Hylia smiled slightly at Rhea.
Ra nodded slightly at the Grey Goddess turing to the White Goddess, frowned and then turned to Tefnut. With barely a node the young warrior got up from her seat and marched purposely out the door. Taking Hylia's eyes on her as a hint Rhea followed suet. The instant that she and the Grey Goddess were both outside of the doorway Tefnut closed the doors leaving the God and Goddess alone in the room.
"Hylia. Do not think that just because I gave up my love to my humans that I do not understand how you feel about Rhea. You have governed the land of your twin beings well... for a demi goddess with little power as it is. I understand your passion and emotions. However Flügel der Freiheit is too powerful to be kept down here like a caged bird. There are things that are moving in the shadows. Secrets that are being made underfoot... Even after we have sealed those fowl creatures away. I can feel it in areas that my sun does not... shine upon. We need it at full power as things are right now."
"Yes... As always you are right, Ra. I know if it... We do not know what lurks in the shadows of the sight beyond your suns rays. Tell me how is the purge going?"
"The purge of the filthy, lurking Shadow Beings you mean that? Yes. They have all been rounded up and are being locked up as we speak. Just like the animals they are. And the only exit is being guarded by the bravest of men... However I cannot help but feel a slight... fringe in his soul... Something connected to his daughter whose picture he keeps in a locket close to his person..."
"What God or Goddess created this man?"
"I believe it is... Frith. The Creator of Magic, Vampires, Werewolves and other such mystics that are devoted to the Gods and Goddess... As such this man - Kozmotiouse Pitchiner - as if his name- has a exidenly strong sense in magic. Something that the Shadows fear and despise in their entirety.
"I see... That will be good. With him there it will slowly drain them until they are no more..."
"Yes... but I wish it would happen more quickly. Frith has often told me that- in all of my sun and under Selene's moon - she has know them to be confronting her people's children the most. The ones who have not gained magic yet. Lingering amongst the shadows of the light for only a few moments before they are expelled. They are causing a thing she has taken to calling strife in her people... Frith fears that they would have eventually divide her people," Ra answered her. There was a heavy look in his bright golden eyes. "In truth... I worry deeply for them as well... A divide is a great danger to her people... The columns of magic as they are called. Who knows what might happen if some of them start to fear something so glorious and true to the sun. I fear that, should they turn away from the gift that their Goddess has given them they will have to be purged"
"You, to worry?"
"It happens in the best of our beings, Hylia. Even to Pauitania."
"But... you are too powerful to worry..."
"Indeed... I am sorry Hylia but I am afraid I have to be going now," Ra said, as he got up from his place on the coach opening the door only to find Rhea against the wall whistling innocently as Tefnut glared at her in undisguised disgust and disbelief.
"I would think you would jump at the chance for this troublesome creature to be out of your hair..." Ra sighed as Tefnut followed him out of the room and down the hall.
"Yes. We were created at the same time. In human terms I believe we would be called... sisters. And I believe you would be their daughter and I your aunt. If we were humans that is. However, unlike them. I lack the determination to create my own world and let my humans have my love. So that they may love me and I would form an attachment towards them.." Hylia answered to Rhea's raised eyebrows. She was slightly perturbed that Rhea had listened at the key-hole.
"I think you should become a true Goddess Hylia. You have the power... don't you?" ... Please...
"I don not think so Rhea... At least... not at this time..." Hylia said as she gazed out the window serenely at the village below the looking glass. Tefnut listened to the two Goddess talk as she and Ra left. The Sun Warrior glanced over her shoulder seeing the look on the Grey Goddess' face and frowned slightly. Why did it look so sad?
"Hey... Tef... Watch out for the door," Rhea said mildly, not even looking as Tefnut proceeded to walk right into one that had been abruptly opened by one of the Sheikah.
"Nice dodge..." Tefnut grimaced slightly at the comment. But that was nothing compared to Ra.
"By my light... I have never met such an... unruly spit-fire. To think that the White Goddess Hylia is raising her..." Ra grimaced rubbing the sides of his head as he and Tefnut left.
"The small one of the female shape seems too full of itself... even for a Goddess," Tefnut replied, making a silent vow to find out what she had spoken to Ra in that ugly language. However part of her did not wish to know what it had meant and she highly doubted it had been anything polite. As it was coming from its mouth. By the light Ra! She would never believe a Goddess would ever make its poor creation speak or even have a language like that! However... the language that Rhea had called French and English sounded - dare she even think it? Elegant and beautiful.
