Saw Divergent in theaters this weekend. I want to watch it again, and I'm also contemplating rereading the series. Haha.

Enjoy.

Tris is drooling on my shirt.

My arm is falling asleep where Tris weight rests against it, and the blankets have somehow been kicked down causing my free arm to feel like an ice cube. But in order to grab it I will either have to move Tris, or wriggle in a way that may wake her. So instead I'm sitting here with my arm feeling like an icicle, and the puddle of drool on my chest slowly expanding so that my chest feels chill as well.

"You're still awake." Caleb says walking into my room.

"It's kind of hard to sleep when you're told you might not ever wake up again." I snark back at him grinning, but he seems hesitant to return my smile.

Tris shivers, trying to burrow her head into my side.

"Hey man, think you can help me pull the blankets up here?" I ask Caleb, and he tentatively pulls the blankets up over his sister. It is quiet for a moment while he reads the monitor beside me.

"She really loves you, you know." He tells me, turning to me his brows are furrowed together.

"She's my everything." I tell him, but he just nods his head lamely, turning back to the machine.

I want to ask him what his problem is when I feel Tris stretching out against me. Looking down I see her looking up at me before her face flushes when she realizes she's drooled all over me.

"Sorry," she says, sitting up suddenly. The rush of blood back to my arm makes my fingers tingle. Flexing them a few times I put my hands together in my lap, unable to keep the stupid grin off of my face.

"You don't look like you slept at all," worry lines crease her forehead. Reaching forward her fingers brush lightly against, what I imagine, are dark circles below my eyes.

"I've been sleeping enough don't you think?" I try to tease, but her frown only deepens.

"Well so far all of your vitals look good," Caleb interrupts, drawing Tris's attention to him. I feel her stiffen beside me and wonder why.

"I'm going to go take a quick shower and change, will you be okay?" She asks me, tucking a wild strand of curls behind her ear.

"I'll be here," I promise, trying to swallow down the slight panic that is rising in my chest at the thought of Tris being out of my eyesight.

"Take care of him," Tris demands of her brother. The tension between them is thick. Taking one last look at me she pulls my door open before leaving me behind.

"What is that all about?" I wonder aloud. Calebs eyes snap to me in surprise.

"She wants to kill me." He finally says, after eyeing me for a few seconds.

"If she wanted to kill you, you'd already be dead." I tell him earnestly.

"No, she needed me. But she won't for much longer." He looks down in contemplation.

"What did she need you for? Help me out a little here, I've been out of it for a bit." I try to tease him again, but this time he's not budging.

"She needed me to keep you alive. To help you wake up. But now that you have, it will only be a matter of time before I've worn out my welcome…" He stops talking abruptly when Christina enters the room. I notice that she scowls when she sees him standing beside me.

"Tris wanted me to keep an eye out on Four," she says matter-of-factly. Caleb only nods in understand, while I am left even more confused. Taking his clipboard he leaves, not even bothering to look back at me.

"I am so confused right now. I don't know which way is up, and I have no idea what's happening with all of you." I admit, rubbing my throbbing temple.

"I really think Tris should be the one to explain it all to you. Plus Caleb seems worried that too much at once will cause you to revert back into the simulation." Christina tells me, propping her legs up at the end of my bed.

"How is that even possible?" I prod her further. I need to know something.

"Caleb thinks if you get too overwhelmed your mind will go to what it feels is a safe place, which seems to be that simulation you were stuck in." She tells me, eyeing me warily like I may pass out on her at any moment.

"But that's not how simulations work." I say strongly, trying to control my feelings.

"Not normally no. But simulations don't normally last for 4 months either. Caleb thinks it was a mix of different serums, but he's still analyzing it to be sure." Christina shakes her head in disdain.

"What would be the point of that? What was the goal?" I ask. Other serums were made to find out the truth, or to induce fear, and I can't understand what the outcome was supposed to be with this particular mix.

"The goal was that you were supposed to be in it forever." Tris' words cut through me like a knife as we stare at one another. My body is breaking out in a cold sweat, and it begins to feel like the room is spinning.

Christina stands to leave, but from the corner of my eye I can see Tris motion her to stay.

"Tobias, take a deep breath. Don't pass out on us." She commands me, her voice sounding more in control than it has the entire time I've been awake.

I struggle to control my breathing, pressing my hands into my temples.

"Do you need Christina?" Tris asks, motioning to her friend.

"No!" I bark, I really don't understand what her fascination is with her friend.

"Tobias, stay with me," her voice sounds more panicked now. I am reminded of my dreams in the simulation, and suddenly all of the walls are closing in and I am once again shrouded in blackness.

What did you think of the movie?
