Ally was in the park clearing her mind. She sat on a bench lost in thought. She knew she had to tell Austin what almost happened. And she didn't think she could, even if she did, she'd never be able to face him.
She was lost that she didn't even recognize the voice that asked, "Is this seat taken,"
"Oh no, go ahead," is what she was gonna say, then she saw who it was and her heart did a little stopping and her stomach and little fluttering,
"Dad?"
"Ally?"
"What are you doing here?" he asked
"Just thinking," she said as he sat down next to her.
"How's your mom?" he asked. Ally was shocked, why was he so nice.
"She's holding up." Ally said sadly.
"Where have you been staying?" Ally asked trying to keep the conversation going. This was beyond awkward.
"At the vacation house,"
"Oh, we've been fine," Ally lied, "We missed you," she added just to see his reaction
"I've missed you guys too," he said after a while.
"How is Ashley?" he asked
"Fine," she said staring ahead.
"How are you?" he asked
"Good, just there," she said
They sat in silence just playing questions in their minds but not saying them out loud.
"When are you coming back?" Ally asked finally. She was heading back home, she had enough of this.
"Soon," he said avoiding eye contact.
"Well, I'll see you soon I guess," she said getting up and mumbling a goodbye.
"Um, Ally?" he called out.
"Yeah?"
"I'm sorry for everything. I'm sorry for not paying attention and loving you the way a real parent should. I apologize and I'll try to make it up to you," he said and pulled out a piece of paper.
"Here he said handing it to her and walking away before she could say anything.
"Huh?" she mumbled and looked down. It was a check in her name for twenty five hundred dollars!?
Ally sat on her bed just staring at the check in shock. She received it more than two hours ago and still her mouth is open wide.
"Close you mouth unless you're catching flies," Austin said leaning against her door
"Austin!" she said in shock he scared her.
"You scared me!"
"I know, that's why you're on the floor," he said coming over to her to help her.
She was scared and for more than one reason. This is the first time she's facing Austin since that night. Tears come to her eyes just thinking about what could have happened
"Ally?" he asked concerned
"Who let you in?" Ally asked a little harsher than she meant.
"Your mom let me in," he said confused. "Are you okay?" he said sitting her down on the bed.
"Why would I be?" she snapped
"You're pale and zoned out,"
"I need some time," she said pushing Austin off.
"What he asked. I'm getting mixed messages here," he said caressing her neck.
"Stop that," she said
"Ally what is going on? Did I do something wrong?" he asked when she slapped his hand away.
"No, I'm just- I just need some rest," she mumbled so soft he had to lean to hear and then she walked out into her bathroom.
Austin was beyond confused, he was lost.
What the hell is going on? He thinks he did something. Maybe that he hasn't contacted Ally since a few weeks ago. Well he texted and called just no face to face.
He was busy doing his concerts but still made time to call her every night.
"God," he sighed running his hands through his hair. He will not screw this up just like the last time.
Then a huge brown envelope caught his eyes.
He curiously picked it up. He knew it was rude and disrespectful to go through his girlfriend's stuff, but he was curious. And that wasn't there the last time he was here.
The address on it was from a hospital. Did Ally have some problem while he was gone? He was now even more worried than before.
He gingerly opened the envelope and looked.
He just scanned through the letter and one word caught his eye.
Pregnant
So fanfiction mixed up my review count. But that's okay, hopefully it'll be fixed soon.
For a person who didn't like Math I had to sit here and count manually, not a good time for me.
