I need to update more often :c
"But gentlemen aren't nice!" And the harpsichord played loudly, the sound echoing and bouncing off the walls, asking for ways to escape.
"What I relate is hard to bare, I'll endure it, so that I might spare you ladies, ahem or men, but I'm not known for my good advice, no! Gentlemen aren't, so agreeable, love ain't a paradise, and if I told you once! I won't tell you twice! Gentlemen aren't nice!" And his deep voice, ended the long note & his long fingers cracked loudly once more. Headmaster Biersack was done playing for the day.
I've been here three weeks now, and the only thing I really like about this place, is Headmaster's playing. Biersack is amazing, doing daily covers of Emilie Autumn's songs, it's unbelievable. His voice fits the notes perfectly, like a key in a lock. I clapped loudly as I always do sitting, by Zack, Vic, and Mike. For a dreary place like this, the performance room was extravagant.
I looked over at my newly made friends and smiled. Zack was asleep across the table, and Vic and Mike's faces were buried into me, asleep as well.
"How can you guys sleep during something so amazing?" I only shook my head, before slowly getting up, making sure Mike and Vic had a soft landing. I turned around, heading for the exit. I watched as young boys, older men, and everyone in between ran across the halls, some chasing others, some wanting to just talk.
"Austin!" The voice that yelled my name was unfamiliar, and I looked around to see who was calling it. It turned out to be one of the younger inmates, 13 year old, Roma. He was so small, so short. He had huge eyes, eyes like honey. I see why everyone calls him Honey-chan now. His dark black hair contrasted the light look in his eyes. He came up and smiled at me, tugging at my shirt.
"Austin-kun, watashi wakarenai! Follow me, I wanna show you something!" He then grabbed my hand, looping his fingers in mine. He began running quickly, down multiple steps with me in tow, down into the 13 to 15 zone. We went all the way down, to the end of the hall. He looked around and then at me. He put his fingers over his lips and motioned for me to be quiet. He looked around once again, before pulling me into the room. I looked around looking for a light, and once I found it, I clicked it on.
"What the hell, Roma? A supply closet?" Roma's eyes turned to a dark yellow color, and he pointed to the vent, on the back wall.
"Help! Please my god! Stop, Headmaster STOP!" Cries, of the boys here. I heard weird sounds, things that sounded like drills, saws, horrible machines, and terrible things.
Roma then unscrewed the vent with his long finger nails, and took it off.
"Go." He pointed. I did go. I wanted to see just what exactly was going on here. Because whatever it was, it wasn't humane. Roma was right behind me, covering the vent, to make sure we had a quick escape if were were caught.
Roma looked from left to right, multiple times before taking my hand and going down the metallic hallway. The halls were metal, and there were experimentation windows everywhere. Roma turned many corners, before stopping at one window and pointing at it.
"This is where they took Kellin-senpai's voice, Austin-kun.."
In complete and utter shock, I stood speechless. It was only a few seconds before I regained my composure. "What?! Roma, what is this place!?"
Roma's eyes saddened and he said in a low voice, "This is where they experiment on the boys. For sick pleasures and things like that...I found it the first month I was here."
I looked around looking at the sick machinery that was covered in dried blood.
"And when I first saw this place, this room in particular, I saw Kellin-senpai, in here. They cut his throat, and pulled things out. Then they used a laser thingy to seal his throat up to make sure there was no scar...they do horrible things down here.."
"I can see that.." My hands were trembling. "Kellin baby..." Roma tugged on my hand once more. "Let's go Austin-kun. Before we're caught." I simply nodded following him back to the vent and into the closet. We exited the closet and Roma took me to his room.
"What are we doing here?" I asked.
"This is my room." he said. "I want to tell you the whole story of Kellin-senpai."
"The whole story?!" There was more?!
"Yes." I looked around the room, smiling at the other boys. He began to introduce them one by one.
"These are the twins, Miho and Maho." They waved simultaneously and smiled. He walked over to a boy about 6'2, and he waved. "This is my cousin Mori. And the other boy over there is Tamaki." Tamaki turned and scowled before going back to sleep.
Roma pulled me down onto his bed, offering me a sweet Japanese candy. I politely declined.
"So what really happened to Kellin?" I asked. Roma looked at the others and nodded as Mori closed the door.
The room fell silent.
"We witnessed it with our own eyes. We might as well tell him what we saw." Mori's eyes dilated on me, causing my heart to drop 6 feet below ground.
"Kellin-Senpai used to talk and things like that. But the best things he could do, was sing. He used to sing this song called 'A Trophy Fathers Trophy Son' and it lifted everyone's spirits. Everyone would be so happy when Kellin sang. Mori-kun, what were the words..?"
Mori's eyes rolled back slightly as he tried to remember.
Father, father, tell me where have you been?
"It's been hell not having you here.." Roma sang. I kept those lines in my head, imagining what it would sound like if Kellin sang it to me.
"Well anyway, Kellin-senpai used to sing it all the time. But then Headmaster Bokan got sick and tired of Kellin-senpai. He was jealous, and hated the happiness Kellin-Senpai created. So he took Senpai and cut his throat, so Senpai could never sing or talk for that matter again."
I buried my face in my hands imagining the pain he went through, how many times he had to scream, but no one came to help. Roma leaned his head on my shoulder, and rubbed his face in my shirt. He gripped my hands tightly before leaving a kiss on my cheek.
"You're in love with Senpai, aren't you Austin-kun?" I chuckled lightly, laying down on Roma's bed.
"Chyea. I'm in love with him. Hopelessly."
"Did you tell him?"
"I think he knows." I smiled at him and ruffled his hair. "Thanks, a lot man. For telling me everything." he nodded slightly and smiled. I got up and opened the door. "See ya Roma." He waved goodbye, closing the door behind me. I walked down the hall, thinking, lamenting on Kellin himself.
Passing many halls and zones, I heard crying from one of the unused music rooms.
"Oli..why...why did it have to be you?" Oh I knew exactly who it was. Joshua Franceschi. I opened the door slowly, carefully closing it once I was in.
"You keep me on the edge of my seat. You always kept me on the edge of my seat. Always had me biting my tongue when we made love."
"Hey Josh.." My hand reached out towards him and he turned around.
"Oh hey you.." He said wiping his tears away. "What are you doing here?" He smiled a a painful smile, and my eyes softened.
"Well I heard, you babe, sitting here crying all alone in need of some support. That's what I'm doing here honey." He smiled again, this time something real. It was a really a real smile. Something he hadn't seen Josh do in ever since Oli died.
"Come out of here Josh. Stop lamenting. We'll visit Oli's grave later if you want too." He smiled at me and shook his head.
"No I'd rather be here. This is where he spent most of his time ya know?" Yeah I knew. I saw him go in here everyday, and I heard him singing. But I never thought that he'd die the way he did.
"Yeah I know. Do you want my company?" I asked.
"No that'd be fine. I just really want to bask alone in his memory." I smiled, alright. I'll leave him. Let him be.
"Be careful Josh. Don't do any thing stupid babe." I heard him laugh.
"Promise I won't."
I looked at the clock and left. 6:30. 30 minutes until dinner. I guess I would meet Kellin at dinner then, maybe then he could tell me what really happened. More or less tell, maybe just write I guess.
I wasted time outside, playing catch with Alex and Jack, watching and listening as Jack sang obnoxious songs like 'Friday' and '22'. The bells for dinner then rang out, bringing all of the inmates to the mess hall. I got in line, getting what I always got. The meatloaf, rice, and a shitload of sweets. Sitting down with my tray, I watched as one by one each of my friends planted their ass right by me or across from me. I was surprised when one more person came by and plopped them self in my lap.
"Roma!"
"Hi Austin-kun! Kellin-senpai!" He waved at everyone, and smiled widely.
"Hey little man, get off me! Why are you even on me!?" I chuckled lightly in attempt to push him off me.
"I wanted your food!" And with that, the little brat stole my sweets and ran.
"HEY!"
"Bye bye Austin-kun!" I heard his little snickering as he ran across the mess hall. Everyone around me laughed at him, and quickly ate up their sweets. I then looked at Kellin with puppy eyes.
"Babe can you share your sweets?" He smiled and rolled his eyes. He put the little cake in his mouth, and motioned me to come close. I smiled back, and ate half as he ate half. I stole a few quick kisses in the process, and finished my half.
"Aww, isn't that sweet! The princess has given his token to his Prince Austin!" Jesse yelled, letting everyone know.
Everyone laughed at us, being little obnoxious fuckers, singing that stupid kissing in a tree song. I shook my head laughing, and took Kellin out of the mess hall.
"Enough of that eh?" I said, trying to start conversation. More or less, I didn't want conversation, I wanted the truth about Kellin. How he really lost his voice. I bet his voice was beautiful too.
He nodded, his fingers entwining in mine.
"Kellin babe. I need to tell you something very important." We were absent minded at the time we were walking and ended up in the backyard of the Asylum. We sat in the grass, and looked at the stars.
He looked at me signaling for me to continue with what I wanted to tell him.
"I know what really happened to you babe. There's no need to hold it back now."
I saw his eyes widen, and tears began to fall. I looked on, and tried to soothe him, but he slapped my hand away. He began to back away, and ran back into the Asylum.
"Kellin! Come back!"
Kellin...
KELLIN!
