Cass:

Hey. You wanna hang after class? Meet in your room at 3?

Kurt sighed. It had been the third day in a row he had gotten a text like this from Cass. He did feel bad for turning him down over the weekend; he just hadn't felt up for fooling around. And that's really all that him and Cass ever did.

Kurt:

Just had class with Rivera. I'm exhausted. Rain check?

Cass:

Seriously?

Shit. Now Kurt looked like a real asshole.

Kurt:

Sorry?

Cass:

No, whatever.

He knew Cass was pissed at him. Hell, Kurt would've been pissed if Cass had blown him off three days in a row just a week ago. Now, he could really care less about what Cass was doing or who he was doing.

Blaine:

Are you in rehearsal?

Ah, and then there was Blaine. The slightly frazzled, Adonis-like man from the coffee shop. Cute. Safe. Seemed responsible enough.

Kurt:

No, just got out of class. What're you up to?

They hadn't seen each other since that day but they'd had a few light conversations over text. Kurt wasn't really sure what it was; or what he wanted it to be, for that matter. He wasn't looking for a relationship. He's too young for a relationship, can wait until after his first few years in an established ballet company to settle down. But, Blaine's hot. And Kurt is certainly not opposed to making the most out of this newfound connection. It was also grounding to talk to someone outside the dance world.

Blaine:

Just got off work. Going pick up some dinner for later. What class?

Kurt:

You want to know my whole schedule?

Blaine:

What? I think that was an appropriate question :P

Kurt:

Yes, but if I told you, I would be less mysterious.

He wasn't quite sure why he didn't want to come out and tell Blaine what he did. Admitting that he was a dancer came with a lot of baggage. He figured he would tell Blaine soon though, there was a difference between being mysterious and outright lying and that wasn't a line that Kurt needed to cross.

Blaine:

KUUUUUUURT.

Kurt:

I'm sure you'll get it out of me eventually ;)

Blaine:

Fine. I will. Can I at least ask where you go to school.

Kurt figured that was fair game. I mean, he already implied that he was a performer of some sort, and Julliard certainly has lots of performers.

Kurt:

Julliard.

Blaine:

Woah. Wait, seriously?

Kurt:

Yes, seriously.

Blaine:

That's so cool! I almost went there, you know?

Kurt:

Oh?

It hadn't even occurred to Kurt by that point to even ask Blaine what he did. This was certainly intriguing.

Blaine:

Yeah, I ended up going to Berklee. Figured I'd be moving to New York right after college anyway, so might as well live in Boston for college.

Kurt:

That's a music school, right?

Blaine:

Mhmmmm.

Kurt:

What do you do?

Blaine:

Well, I guess we'll find out once you tell me what you're studying ;)

Kurt rolled his eyes to himself and smiled as he got out of the elevator and walked down the hallway toward his room. He's in the middle of typing out a cheeky response while grabbing his keycard out of his side pocket when he physically runs into someone, dropping his phone.

"Funny seeing you here." Fuck, of course it's Cass. Kurt looks up once he's grabbed his phone and gives Cass a glare, moving past him to open his room. Cass follows him in and lies down on Kurt's bed.

"Funny, I don't recall inviting you in. And please get up, I want to nap."

"You don't look tired."

"Fuck off, Cass."

"Okay, what has gotten into you?" Cass sits up on the bed.

"What? You know I've always been a bitch."

"Not what I meant," Cass sighs and leans back onto his elbows, "You used to be the one begging me to spend time with you. What gives?"

"I don't beg, Caspar."

"Hmm, don't you, though?" Cass smirks and grabs Kurt by the hips bringing him close and goes to kiss his neck.

"Cass, I'm not in the mood," Kurt says, but lets himself be pulled onto the bed, on top of Cass.

"That's what foreplay is for, babe," Cass mumbles, already trying to undo the button on the front of Kurt's jeans.

Kurt lets him get them off all the way and then sits up and takes his shirt off. "Fine, but you're doing all the work." He falls back onto the bed and Cass smiles, straddling him.

Blaine was nervous. Anxious. Terrified.

He wanted so badly to ask Kurt on a date, a casual date, nothing fancy, doesn't even have to mean anything except I want it to, date, but he wasn't quite sure about the signals he was receiving from the other man.

Kurt seemed flirty, seemed into the little back and forth that the two had gotten going. But he was equal parts flirty and evasive and that's the part that made Blaine nervous. He found the man very interesting, and dare he say, mysterious, and he wanted to know more. But he didn't want to screw up his chances by making a move to quickly and scaring Kurt off. Or offering the man something he didn't want. Hell, if Blaine remembered correctly through his drunken state he clearly saw Kurt dancing with another guy. A cute, tall, rugged guy. Okay, Blaine doesn't remember those specific things, but he must've been cute to get to dance with Kurt. And they seemed liked they knew each other.

In the end, after typing up ten different versions of the same text, he figured a good old coffee date/non-date/vague so Kurt can think it's whatever he wants it to be, would fit the bill.

Blaine:

Do you want to get coffee tomorrow morning. I promise not to bring the baby this time ;)

Kurt reached his hand over Cass's body to grab his phone off of his bedside table.

"Who is it?"

"Nobody." Kurt smiled but put the phone down. He wouldn't make Blaine wait too long for an answer but he wasn't quite sure what Blaine was asking and he needed a bit to think on it.

"You're smiling."

"Okay…?"

"Who are you texting?"

"Omigod, Cass, no one." Cass jokingly reaches for Kurt's phone but the younger boy pulls it away from him immediately and locks it.

"Okay…"

"We're gonna miss dinner if we don't get up soon."

Kurt goes to stand up but Cass pulls him back down into bed. "I'm not hungry yet."

"Okay…When did you become such a cuddle bug?"

"A what?"

"A cuddle bug."

"I'm not a cuddle bug."

"Your arms latched around my waist tell another story."

Cass releases his grip on Kurt and lets him stand up. He pulls his briefs on, then his pants, Cass still spread out over the bed.

"Cass, seriously get out off bed."

"I'm so comfy!"

For someone who was strictly against relationships of any kind, Cass was sure being boyfriend-like today. A side of the man that Kurt rarely got to see.

"Well, I'm going to get dinner."

"Will you get me a sandwich please? One of those to-go ones?"

"Seriously."

"Yes, please, thank you." Cass sat up and kissed Kurt deeply, pulling off with a smack and collapsing back on the bed. Kurt rolled his eyes but got Cass the sandwich anyway, because he's a good person. But he also ended up texting Blaine back, because the man was interesting and Kurt seemed to be drawn to him. It can't hurt to have options.

Kurt:

Tomorrow morning at 9:30 work for you? I take my mocha non-fat with a little bit of cinnamon ;)
