Chapter 6

Alessa's Reincarnation

"Hey. Hey! Wake up!" Mario hears a female voice as he slowly wakes up as he's tied up in ropes. He looks around as he notice he's in a gift shop as a flash light shined in Mario's face. "Looks like you're finally awake. Now answer me, who the hell are you?" The young girl appeared to be human, with short blond hair and light brown eyes.

"You look... familiar.. your face structure.." Mario said

"What is that suppose to mean?" The young girl said.

"Are you... Alessa?" Mario asked as the young girl stared at Mario.

"I'm not. But how do you know about Alessa?" The girl said starting to get her guard up as there was a knife behind her back.

Mario got tensed up and try to explain calmly. "It's-a me, Mario. Sorry for mistaken you for someone else. But im kinda in a hurry" Mario said as the girl stared him down.

"Super Mario? What are you going in a place like this? Oh and call me... Heather" Heather said.

"You hesitated" Mario said as Heather flinched a bit.

"I prefer to be called Heather. My real name is Cheryl. But please dont call me by my real name" Heather explained. "Why are you in this place?"

"I need to get to the hospital quick! The princess is waiting for me!" Mario said as he struggled out of the ropes as Heather went to go untie him.

"Princess? What's going on?" Heather asked as she grabbed Mario's arm to hold up. "Why is there a princess in this place?"

Mario looked at Heather then sighed. "Princess Peach has been constantly been getting dreams about Silent Hill. She had a feeling this place was calling her, so she dragged me along with her so I would protect her if anything goes wrong. We arrived yesterday. Today we strive to survive to reach to the hospital. We where trapped in the third floor in a small room. A huge hole was in a wall which I decided to crawl in it thinking it'll take me to the room next to it. Then... I'm randomly here. Thats my story" Mario explained as Heather was there thinking.

"I dont know why the princess was extremely curious to come here but I guess I'll help you. Silent Hill doesnt want me to leave just left after my battle with some demonic god that was born. I used to have a friend with me, he died a few days ago" Heather said as Mario patted her back.

"Then lets head towards the hospital" Mario said as Heather nodded. They left the carnival as Mario constantly get chills everytime he see's the bloody pink rabbit smiling and staring at Mario. "What are those pink bunnies?"

"Oh that? That's Robbie the Rabbit. Just ignore the rabbits and you'll be fine." Heather said passing by. As they continue to walk by the town, it's flooded by monsters "Shit, this is too dangerous to proceed here. We should take to sewers to shortcut our way around town." Heather said opening the sewerage way.

"Wait Heather! It's too dangerous in there more than out here" Mario said as Heather jumped in. "HEATHER!" Mario yelled as he jumped in as well. They both fell down to the ground, its extremely dark underground. "Heather what the hell are you doing? are you making a death wish" Mario said as Heather just smirked.

Heather got up and turned her flashlight on. "Well... you dont know me well. Now just follow me. I know my way around the sewers" Heather said as she walked ahead as Mario followed. Walking down the sewers, radio static was acting up as Mario looked around to find that Heather has her own radio. The static was getting louder as Mario turned around to see a koopaoid faceless creature. It's arms looks like fused with it's chest as it opens its chest to spit out acid towards them, they both dodged the acid was Heather stabbed it's hip open as it bleed. "Shit it's a Patient" Heather said slicing it down to it's knees.

"Patient? Is that what that creature is?" Mario said as the Patient face planted to the ground and started crawling around as Heather chased it down trying to stomp it.

"Yes a Patient. Careful with it's acid and make sure it doesnt hump you" Heather said as Mario was about to question it until the Patient crawls up to Mario, launches it's body upwards, around his waist, and tries to squirt acid towards his face. Boom. Bullet in the Patients head. "Now I only have three bullets left" Heather sighed as she reload her pistol.

"Th-thanks" Mario said. The further they progress, the more they encountered, more dangerous the creatures they become. Until they reached their destination, Heather went to climb the ladder as Mario looked around hearing noises not sure where it's coming from. As Mario was about to climb up the ladder, a sharp blade slices by almost cutting Mario's hands off. Mario backed off as he turned around to see some tail leading towards the darkness as Heather feel on top of Mario due to the vibration on the ladder made Heather knocked off. Heather gets up as she flashed the light towards to tail to reveal a half scorpion, half chain chop sitting there on the ceiling. The eyes seemed to be sowed together.

"I say we run for it" Heather said as Mario disagreed. "What? you want us to fight that thing?"

"If you notice. It's blind. Sound will only attract it" Mario said as he reached in his pocket to pull out a fire flower.

"A flower... seriously?" Heather said doubly as Mario used it to transform to Fire Mario. "Oh right..." Heather said as she got her pistol ready. Mario charges his fire as Heather shot the monster in the face which had no effect, it swung it's blade tail towards Heather as she jumped away. 'Shit no effect' Heather thought to herself as Mario threw his fireballs towards the tail which set it on fire as it screams in agony. The tail melted off as the tail bleed and crawled back into the darkness which Heather was trying to follow it with her flashlight but it was too fast to follow. They both stood still quietly waiting for the creature to show up as Mario just started whistling."You idiot! What the hell are you doing?" Heather said as Mario grabbed Heather and pushed her down, the creature came crashing as Mario got caught. Bashed into a wall as Mario was there struggling to get out. The monster opened it's mouth extremely wide, Mario spammed as many fire balls into the insides but nothings working. "MARIO!" Heather cried out as the monster gobbled Mario fully. "NOOOOOOOOOO! YOU FUCKING IDIOT!" Heather yelled as she just drops on her knees and sobs till she notices something. The monster's insides seems to be glowly as it instantly combusted. Guts and blood flew everywhere as Heather was stunned to believe Mario is still alive. Mario secretly hid a star in his hat just in case of emergencies which comes in handy. As the star effect wore off, Mario dropped to his knees breathing heavily. "Mario!" Heather said as she ran towards Mario and set her hand on Mario shoulders. "You... You have no idea how scared I was knowing that thing couldve killed you" Heather said.

"You... dont know me well" Mario said grinning as Heather couldnt help but to burst into tears. "Hey.. are you okay?" Heather slapped Mario. "Wh-what was that for?" Mario said confused.

"Idiot! You wouldve died" Heather said.

"I only did it to save you. It was targeted on me but you where near me so I rather to sacrifice myself to save another" Mario said as Heather just stared then calmed down.

"Thanks. Well up this ladder. The hospital is just above" Heather said as the both of them climbed up carefully. They venture in the hospital as Mario started to get a massive headache. "Hey.. Are you okay?" Heather asked.

"I'm fine.. Dont worry about me. We need to get to the researcher room in the third floor..." Mario said as he passed out on the floor. Everything went black in Mario's vision as the last thing he heard faintly was Heather shouting out his name. Everything went silent, Mario felt alone thinking he's lost in darkness for a while. From a distance Mario hears another faintly voice calling for him. The voice eventually gets louder, starting to sound familiar. A small light shines from afar. The light gets closer. The light was flames, a young girl in flames. It was Alessa. She looked like she wanted to say something but couldnt. She raised her finger as she wrote in the darkness in blood. 'Beware of the Unborn Child' those words are written in thin air. Is this a warning or a sign, Alessa just waved as Mario panicky woke up. His eyes widen as Mario recognized where he's at. Mario appeared to be trapped in the same room as before with Peach and James.

"Mario you're finally awake!" Princess Peach sighed in relief.

"Why am I here? I need to get back with Heather!" Mario said as he charge towards the wall where the hole used to be, but the cabinet was never moved. The hole wasnt there. "Th-the hole... Where's the hole in the wall?"

"What hole in the wall? Whose Heather?" Peach asked as Mario looked at her.

"The hole I crawled in to figure out how to escape this room" Mario said as both Peach and James looked at Mario puzzled.

"You did hit your head that hard it seems. There was no holes on the walls." James said.

"What are you talking about. We pushed this cabinet out of the way with a huge hole in the wall at the other side. I crawled inside and it took me to the Silent Hill Carnival." Mario explained.

Peach and James look at each other. "Mario. Pyramid Head grabbed you during the chase and threw you across the hallway. You passed out and we carried you to this room. The room locked itself as we entered and we cant escape." Peach explained.

"Y-you got to be kidding me.. no.. that cant be true.. everything I went through felt soo real.." Mario said as he looked around.

"Sorry to say but its true." James said.

"Wait.. I saw Alessa when I passed out. I dont know if she's warning me but she told me to 'Beware of the Unborn Child', I dont know what that's suppose to mean" Mario said as the heard a thud at the door. They hear an unlocking on the door which Peach hid behind Mario as the guys got tensed up and guarded up. The door busted up as James pointed his shotgun as Mario was shocked to see it's Heather. "H-Heather!?" Mario said.

"Ah... There you are, you idiot. Leaving me at the entrance of the Hospital." Heather said as she turn to see James pointing his shotgun at her.

"Who are you? And why do you look terribly just like Alessa?" James said.

"She's Alessa's Reincarnation. She's Heather. The girl that helped me rescue you guys." Mario said as James looked at Mario shockly.

"How did she save us and knows you when you where in this room the whole time?" James said as he just realized something. "Wait... I think I understand now. The reason why you saw Alessa in your dream and how your spirit transferred a different location with Heather is probably Alessa's work. I-Is she secretly helping us?" James said as everything thought about it as well.

"Kinda think about it. Alessa wont let me leave Silent Hill after what I've been through... Is it because.. She want us to help these two?" Heather said as James also realized the same thing and they both look at Mario and Peach.

"Something big is going on if Silent Hill called the princess." James said as things are clearly starting to make sense.

"Why me then? What's going to happen to me?" Peach said worried.

"We cant be too sure. Lets go find whatever you're looking for princess. Lets progress." James said as everyone agreed. They all left the room to go next door to find those files. As they left, in a corner of the room where it's terribly dark, Phillip was there listening.
