The Mist

Annabeth Chase sees monsters, but others don't. They think that she's crazy, but she's not. Annabeth must find her kind in her school in order to discover who she really is and how they might save the world. But how can she do that when her kind are scattered amongst the scale of popularity? Rated T for and possible death of some of the characters in the story.

Disclaimer: I don't own percy jackson or heroes of olympus, otherwise I would not be writing on this website. I only own the plot and my OC Atlanta Tyler. Some characters are kind of/are OOC. Anyway, I hope you like it:)

Annabeth's POV

Hey, do you guys wanna know my story? Wait a sec, let me introduce myself. My name is Annabeth Chase, I'm seventeen years old and people think I'm crazy. Let me rephrase that. People thought that I was crazy. As in USED TO. Why? Because I see things that other people can't. I see MONSTERS. Yes, I said monsters and I'm not kidding. As a kid, I told everyone what I saw, they never believed me. One time I went to a shopping mall and there was a woman...WITH WINGS! FREAKING CHICKEN WINGS! They were literally attached to her arms like a part of her body and skin. She was just walking around like she wasn't part chicken and everyone else acted like THAT was normal. I've been freaked by chickens ever since. Then this other time, I went to a pet store and there was a GIANT DOG with a strange man. The GIANT DOG was as big as CLIFFORD THE BIG RED DOG (except that it wasn't red...) No one questioned THAT! But I did. I asked the nearest employee if she saw it too but noooo, she gave me a weird look and answered no. I was thinking, ARE YOU BLIND LADY! Oh and I can't even count on my fingers how many more strange creatures I've seen. I've always kept telling my friends, my dad and my teachers. My friends eventually avoided/ditched me. My dad was always busy and wasn't even listening and my teachers offered my dad to send me to the school therapist. No one understood that I saw totally bizarre things EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. That's why I eventually kept what I saw to myself. Now, my dad is married to a ... (I won't say it) and had twins with her. My evil stepmom always cast me aside and hogs all the attention of my dad and her twins or shall I say step brothers are EXTREMELY annoying. So, basically I am the outcast of the family and don't even get me started with school! My friends are the only people who get me through the day. They are soooo awesome! There's Piper, Calypso, Beckendorf and Hazel. They are the most amazing people you could ever have as friends. However, we all are... unpopular or as the popular jerks say "Losers, outcasts, garbage, etc". But as long as we have each other, we'll all be okay. Anyways, tommorow is the day we go back to school from spring break. Yay, joy. Note the sarcasm. At least I'll get to see my friends again. Time to get to sleep!

Hey guys! I'm sorry that Annabeth sounds like a protagonist but like I said some characters on this story are OOC. The characters will develop in this story and eventually become pretty similar/who they actually are like in the actual series (so don't worry). I haven't written in a long time because I was mostly reading instead:) I hope you liked this story. Please let me know if I should you continue this story. Review and favourite ;)
