"So he was the bear the entire time?" Saph asked while staring at Ken who was still unconscious and laying in his bed in his dorm. All of the Youtubers were gathered around the bed, staring in astonishment.

"Well is he ok?" Yami asked.

"As far as I can tell, yeah." Saph answered. How could this have happened? Saph thought to herself.

"So is he a morph like you Saph?" Mark wondered out loud.

"No, morphs don't lose control like that. He can turn into what you would call a "werebear"." Saph explained and glanced at Jerome.

"Oh my God! Are you ok?" She rushed over to look at Jerome's injury and he flinched away slightly.

"It's fine. It's… just a couple scratches." Jerome grimaced. Saph ignored him and inspected the scratches.

"You probably shouldn't go to the nurse." Minx piped up.

"Why? He's hurt!" Saph stared back in response.

"Well if word gets out that Ken hurt him that bad, then he could get in huge trouble. And he'll have a bad reputation." Minx glanced at Felix briefly, remembering the situation between him and Bajan.

"I guess you're right. But what are we supposed to do? Let the wound get infected?" Bajan stood up.

"I have a first aid kit in my room. I'll go get it." Saph left the room and returned a couple minutes later with a red and white box in her arms. She sat down in a chair and motioned for Jerome to sit in the one right next to hers.

"Take your shirt off." Saph instructed.

"Wait…what?" Jerome surprisingly asked.

"Oh calm down. I can't get to the wound with your shirt in the way!" Jerome sighed and removed his shirt, revealing his well-toned abdomen. Saph took a wet towel and removed the remaining blood that had accumulated around the wounds. She then opened a small tube of cream and began to apply it to the scratches. The cream stung and Jerome winced at the feeling. To be honest, Mark was jealous of Jerome. Somehow, he felt as if she shouldn't get that close to someone other than him. What the hell am I thinking? Mark shook his head. It's not like I'm her boyfriend! I don't even know if she likes me back! He let out a sigh of frustration and turned his head away from the scene.

Suddenly, Ken began to stir on the bed. He eventually opened his eyes and looked around the room.

"Man, I just had the weirdest dream! Hey, why are you guys in here when I'm sleeping?" Ken groggily yawned. Everyone glanced at each other, contemplating whether they should tell him the truth. Bajan was the first to talk.

"That wasn't a dream Ken." Bajan shook his head and Ken stared back in horror.

"Did I really…do all of that?" Ken put a hand to his chest, as if to make sure that his heart was still beating. Felix approached Ken.

"Yeah you did. But it's all right now! Everyone is fine now. You're fine now." Felix patted Ken's back and he flinched away.

"No I'm not fine." Ken sighed, "I've been…having weird urges ever since last week. I just can't stop thinking about destroying and hurting!" salty tears began to form in his eyes. Ken raised his hand to cover his eyes and bit down on his lip, trying to suppress the tears.

"Ken…" Jerome shook his head while Saph wrapped bandages on his wounds, "I'm fine. It wasn't your fault! But you do understand that you have to learn how to keep this under control, right?"

"Yeah." Ken muttered, "Hey would you guys mind leaving? I need to be alone right now." Everyone nodded and they scurried out of the room. The door shut coldly behind them.

"Well I guess I'll go tell Ms. Wattman that Ken received his powers… don't worry, I won't tell her how." Saph explained.

"Yeah he needs to get a tutor as soon as possible to help keep that side of him under control." Sky sighed, glancing at the now bandaged wound on Jerome's shoulder. All of the Youtubers solemnly nodded to each other and separated to return to their respective dorms to try and sleep the uneasiness of the situation off. Mark chose to follow Saph instead of returning to his dorm.

"Hey, I'm not that tired right now. Mind if I walk with you?" Mark asked as soon as he caught up to Saph.

"Nope, I'm not that tired either." She shrugged and the two left the boys dorms. The campus was dotted with yellow illumination from the various street lamps strewn about the walkways. The sky was pitch black and the stars were hidden away by the dark clouds. Only the soft light of the moon pierced through the shroud into the brisk, cold night. Mark looked sideways at Saph, the white glow of the moon reflected on her deep emerald eyes. Her long, black hair flowed perfectly onto her shoulders. He noticed that the chilly air soon caused her cheeks to turn a pink, rosy color. Mark's heart fluttered like a butterfly in his chest. Damn she's beautiful… Mark sighed and Saph snapped her attention to him.

"What?" She asked.

"N-nothing. I was um… I'm worried about Ken." Mark stuttered and focused on the walkway in front of him.

"Me too. It's rare for someone to lose control of their power so easily."

"Yeah, I can't even begin to imagine what he might be thinking right now. Especially since he hurt Jerome like that." Mark spoke softly, as if anyone could have heard him.

Saph gulped. She loved it when Mark showed his caring, sensitive side. It just goes to show that he's not just that guy that acts silly all the time and makes immature jokes on the Internet (regardless of how hilarious they are). Those soft, brown eyes made her melt inside every time she looked into them. This was the first time that she felt this way for anyone. All her life she's been abused and hurt and unloved by almost everyone around her. It wasn't until she met Ms. Wattman did she ever see the good side of people. Unfortunately, after the first students arrived at the school, she was ignored and ostracized once again.

But now she had someone who, like her, has known bitterness and unfairness of life (Mark had told her his backstory when they were in detention). She had indeed watched his Draw My Life video, but it was completely different when he told the story to her personally. His facial expressions and tones seemed to have mimicked her own when she was telling him about her troubled past. But she also hated when he was sad, so she tried to lighten up the conversation a little bit.

"So I guess that you're the only one without a power now." Saph giggled.

"Yeah, I guess so." Mark chuckled, returning his gaze back to her. The combination of his chocolate eyes and deep chuckle almost made Saph shudder, but she managed to control herself.

"Well, whatever you are I bet you'll be great at it." Saph smiled genuinely back at her crush. Her smile…oh God her smile is adorable. Mark thanked the cold air for concealing his blush. The two continued to walk side by side, their steps in sync, back to the girls dorms. They both stopped in front of the doors.

"Well, this is my stop." Saph chuckled and approached one of the doors.

"Ok, bye Saph. I guess I'll see you tomorrow then." Mark turned away.

"…Mark wait." Both of them turned back around to face each other.

"Yeah, what is it?" Mark asked.

"Thanks…"

"For what?"

"J-just for everything." Saph innocently smiled at him. Oh God she doesn't even have to try to be adorable. Mark grinned.

"No problem" They slowly walked apart. The air felt a lot colder now that Mark had no one walking beside him.

(Back in the girl's dorm hall)

Saph slowly trudged up the long hallway of her dorm. Her room was at the very end of the hall and she hated the long strolls to get to it. Finally reaching the last door on the right, she took off the key that hung on her necklace (hidden under her shirt). But before she could insert the key into the door, a hand wrapped around her waist and another held a piece of cloth to her mouth and nose. She struggled and twisted against the body behind her, but to no avail. The rag smelt strongly of harsh chemicals and it took mere seconds for her to loose consciousness.

(Back in Mark's dorm room)

Mark tossed and turned in his bed, sleep had still not overtaken him. He felt as if something was wrong; the silence of the room, of the night seemed very…off to him. Well if I don't walk it off now I might not get any sleep at all tonight. Mark thought to himself. He sighed and stripped the blankets off of his body. He grabbed a jacket and put it on before walking out of the room. The light tapping of shoes on the floor echoed throughout the hall as Mark made his way out of the dorm building. The brisk air hit his face and he exhaled. He loved nights like these that were just cold enough without you shivering; the slight cold always calmed him down.

Mark made his way around the school until he finally came to the classroom building. Before turning away, his eyes caught sight of a door on the side of the building. Approaching it, he saw that the sign next to the door read 'Storage Closet: No Students Allowed'. What really caught his attention were the muffled voices that came from behind the door. They were too distorted for him to recognize any of them. What the hell is going on in there? Mark wondered. He put his ear up to the door to try and distinguish what the people were saying, but he still couldn't tell who they were.

"MARK HELP!" He jumped at his name being screamed by a voice that could only have belonged to Saph. His heart jumped a beat and adrenaline flooded his system.

"SAPH I'M HERE! WHAT'S GOING ON?" Mark yelled back into the door. He could only hear deep laughter in response. His hand reached to yank open the door, but it was locked.

"I'M COMING IN!" He yelled and began to ram the door with his right shoulder. He tried over and over until his shoulder felt numb and his breathing was extremely labored. No I can't give up! Saph's in trouble and I have to save her! Just thinking of her name gave him the extra strength to try one last time. Mark got a running start and slammed into the door, knocking it to the ground. What he saw inside horrified him. Saph was tied to a chair in the middle of the closet and she was gagged with a rag. She looked as if she had been hit across the face multiple times and her nose was bleeding. Standing around her was none other than Rex and two of his goons. His hand was splattered with crimson specks of blood. Mark lunged at Rex, who was ready for the sudden attack, and knocked him against the wall. The two other men pressed his shoulders against the wall.

"DON'T YOU DARE LAY ANOTHER DIRTY FINGER ON HER YOU BASTARD!" Mark began to scream. All of his hatred boiled up from within him once he saw how scared and hurt Saph was.

"Now Mark, lets use our inside voices." Rex paced towards him. Once he was close enough, he swung and made contact with Mark's right cheek. Mark could hear the muffled scream of Saph in the background.

"Why are you doing this?!" Mark spat a mix of saliva and blood onto the ground.

"Revenge. She's getting what's coming to her! I'll make her regret the day that she thought she could beat me!" Rex laughed maniacally. He walked back to stand right in front of Saph.

"Please don't hurt her…" Mark began to plead. It was the last thing he wanted to do, but he was even willing to beg to his enemy to ensure Saph's safety.

"It's me you want! You can do whatever you want to me, just please don't hurt her!" He continued to beg.

"Well, it's obvious that hurting her hurts you more than me just hurting you…so let's make this more interesting." Rex sneered. His hand suddenly turned into a shiny, silver substance that quickly transformed into a small, but sharp, pocketknife. Mark felt his heart stop when he put together what was going to happen to Saph.

"NOOO!" He began to scream once again, bucking against the two guys that held him back. But after each attempt to escape their grasp they only banged him back against the wall. Saph's eyes were wide open in fear and she struggled to free herself. The blade slowly came closer and closer to her face, until it was only an inch away from her cheek.

"What a shame, such a pretty face…" Rex grinned evilly and stared into Saph's eyes. The sharp blade of the knife softly grazed her cheek and Saph tried to face away from the weapon pointed at her. At this point, Mark was completely freaking out and it took all of both of the men's might to hold him back. Rex grabbed Saph's jaw with one hand and pushed the blade into her cheek with the other. Her eyes shut tight and she let out another muffled screech. Drops of blood began to drip down her neck.

Seeing the woman he loved being hurt like this drove Mark utterly insane. He felt something rise within him. It felt more powerful than all the hatred and anger that he had ever experienced. He didn't know what it was; all he knew was that the feeling enveloped his entire body. Every inch of his body, every hair tingled with this new power. Mark felt his body begin to change as well as the skin around it. The two men previously holding him back let him go and ran out of the doorway in fear. His hind legs became unstable and he fell onto all fours, which for some reason felt natural. Mark looked down and saw that his hands and feet were replaced with four large wolf paws. He looked back to see a long, gray tail trailing behind him. Holy shit! I'm a wolf! Mark focused his eyes back onto Rex, who didn't notice him and was still torturing Saph. He let out a spine-chilling growl and Rex turned back to see a wolf lunging at him. Mark tackled her torturer to the ground and snarled in his face. He was suddenly reminded of what happened with Ken and he let Rex get back to his feet. Before Rex could run out of the doorway, he barked and snapped at his heels as he sprinted in fear out of the room.

Mark relaxed and felt himself turning back into his human form. His attention immediately turned back to Saph. Her eyes were filled with a mix of fear, surprise, and relief. He rapidly untied the rope that bound her to the chair. Mark reached behind her head and untied the rag that kept her from speaking. Saph took a deep breath and fell into his arms. He helped her over to the wall and sat her next to him against it. Instead, she clung to him and buried her face into his chest. Instantly, flashes of the scene in the closet appeared in his mind. Saph began to sob and he gently rubbed her back to comfort her. He spoke comforting words into her ear such as, "It's ok" and, "Don't worry, he's gone now". She moved up and buried her face in the crook of Mark's neck and his face almost instantly heated up. Her raspy breathing made him pull her closer to him. She began to cry more and she nuzzled more into his neck. He reached down, cupping the side of her face, and pulled her face up so that their noses were inches away from each other. His thumb wiped away the tears that ran down her beautiful face.

"It's ok…I won't let him hurt you anymore." Mark reassured her. He felt Saph nod ever so slightly and she sniffled. They stared into each other's eyes for a long time, not saying a single word, until Mark spoke again.

"I…I need to tell you something." He whispered.

"What is it?" Saph's soft and terrified voice nearly broke his heart.

"Sapphire…" Saph's eyes grew open in surprise of him saying her full name for the first time.

"…I love you." Mark leaned forward and their lips collided. Her lips were much softer than he expected. Saph soon began to kiss back and both of them closed their eyes to enjoy the moment. Mark could feel the heat from the passion that they both have been hiding for the past couple of weeks bubble to the surface. He never wanted this to end, Mark could stay here forever like this…with her. After what seemed like forever, their lips parted. They stared into each other's eyes panting, not a single word was uttered. To be honest, no words could begin to describe how they felt. Saph began to giggle.

"We should probably head back to our rooms before it gets too late." She smiled, which caused Mark to smile. His thumb traced the cut along her cheek.

"Are you going to be ok?"

"I'm much better now." Saph moved forward so that their noses were touching and she grinned adorably. Both of them got up and walked outside along the pathway, until they reached the point in which they were going to split up. They both stopped.

"Oh and if you haven't already guessed this…" Saph pulled Mark's shirt collar and their lips crashed together. They stayed like this for a couple of moments before she pulled away and leaned in to whisper in his ear.

"…I love you too."

Awwww…well that's that! Before you assume what Mark's power is, wait until the next chapter. It'll probably clear up any questions you might have about his power. This long chapter is my Thanksgiving/ Hanukkah/ holiday gift to you guys. Thanks for being so awesome! Check back later! Bye!
