"Well, I guess I'll do it then…" Ken said with a sigh and stood up "Wish me luck…" Ken walked away from the table. He knew it wasn't the best idea to talk to Rex directly, but he had no choice. The only other candidates were Mark and Saph but they hate Rex a lot more than the rest of the Youtubers. Ken gulped a breath of air before approaching the table where Rex sat.
"Hey Rex can I talk with you?" Ken asked as politely as he could. Rex turned around in his chair and examined Ken from head to toe with his eyes. After a couple seconds he nodded and walked over to where Ken was standing.
"So what is this about?" He asked as soon as he was the only other one within earshot. Ken told him the entire story and caught him up to date with what happened.
"You've got to be kidding me!" Rex crossed his arms "Those assholes tried to recruit me to, until I told them I don't need any practice." He chuckled to himself. "So why are you telling me this?"
"The plan is that we are trying to get people who aren't involved on our side. That way we'll have a fighting chance. Tell people if they want to help to meet us tonight in the gym. Try and convince as many people as you can to join but don't tell any of the teachers or Ms. Wattman. Got it?"
"So what's in it for me?" Rex asked.
"You won't die." Ken said darkly before turning back to his table. He returned to the Youtubers and sat down. All eyes were on him waiting for the answer.
"He's in. I told him to tell everyone to meet us tonight in the gym" Ken smiled and everyone cheered in delight.
"Don't get too excited yet. We still have to convince people to stay and train with us." Saph hushed everyone.
"And…oh yeah…we have to defeat the whole fucking Order." Felix mumbled and Cry patted him on the back.
"Don't worry Pewds, with all the people we'll get we'll slap their booties!" Mitch laughed.
"Yeah! 'cause they smell bad!" Jerome joined in and everyone let out a nervous chuckle.
(That night in the Gymnasium)
Everyone was starting to get antsy. No one had arrived at the designated time and there was a blanket of anxiety in the air. All of the Youtubers were standing, actually pacing, across the gym floor. Almost all of them were on their last nerve and their patience was wearing thin.
"Do you think anyone is going to show?" Jerome sighed.
"For the sake of the school and the world, I hope so…" Mark hung his head in defeat. Suddenly, Felix stood up.
"Come on guys! Don't give up now! Maybe they're just running late or something is holding them up! Did you think this was going to be easy?"
"Yeah I guess we should have some hope." Adam stopped pacing and looked to the door.
"Wait a minute…what's that noise?" Cry held his hand up to quite everyone. Through the silence broke a small chatter of…voices? A few faces poked from behind the double doors and surveyed the room.
"Is this where we are supposed to meet?" a girl asked.
"Oh…uh…Yeah! You can go sit in the bleachers over there." Ty stumbled and pointed to the seats. People passed through the doorway and one by one the bleachers began to fill up. When the flow of people stopped Felix turned to the rest of the Youtubers.
"What did I tell you?" he beamed and everyone laughed.
"Ok let's get this meeting started!" Saph clapped her hands together and stepped towards the crowd.
"OK, OK GUYS SETTLE DOWN!" she yelled and everyone went quiet.
"Today we have gathered here today to join forces. As you may know, the Order is planning to attack the school in two days. They are going to begin the attack at noon and take Ms. Wattman hostage. Then they plan to take everyone else prisoner and inject them with a substance that gives you extremely powerful and dangerous powers. The Order wants to unleash their army on the world!" everyone gasped and murmured for a moment before quieting down.
"Ok so what are we going to do about it?" a boy in the bleachers asked.
"Well, we are going to fight back! But before I explain the plan I need you to separate into groups. I want Elementals to split into their respected elements over there and miscellaneous people over there." Saph pointed to the respected places and everyone separated.
"Ok now the plan is for everyone to be out of their dorms and classrooms by 12:30. Make any excuse you can but don't tell anyone else. Now I want all fire elementals, air elementals, and everyone who knows how to do effective range attacks on the roofs surrounding the center courtyard by 12:45. All water and life elementals I want you in the center courtyard by 12:30. Don't act suspiciously because Order members will be among you at this point. Now who is left?" about half of the miscellaneous people raised their hands.
"I want half of you to watch the perimeters to make sure no Order members escape and help people on the edge of the battle if you can. I want the other half of you to guard Ms. Wattman. Don't let her know that you are watching her and make sure no one else is around her." The rest of the people nodded. Saph did the calculations in her head. Well we have about 30 people that will attack from the roofs, about 40 people can battle on the ground, and about 10 can guard Ms. Wattman. Holy shit! We have a force of 80 people to help us! But we need to train them so that they can expect what the Order is bringing to the table.
"Felix? Can you possibly teach these guys some Order moves so that they're ready for the fight?" Saph turned to Pewds and he nodded.
"Ok guys, now that you know the plan you'll know how the Order fights. For example, this move…" Felix then taught them a series of punches and kicks that were sure to bring an Order member down. After an hour or so, everyone was exhausted and sore.
"Great job guys! You'll be ready to take on that mean Order in no time! We'll see you guys next week." Everyone stumbled to the double doors and left the gym.
"So what are our positions Saph?" Yami asked.
"Well, I want you, Marzia, Felix, and Minx on the roofs and Mark, Ken, Adam, Ty, Mitch, and Jerome on the ground." She explained.
"But what about me? I'm assuming you want me to protect Ms. Wattman with my force field power." Said Cry.
"Actually, I want you to be in the battle. We have enough people protecting her and we can use your force fields for combat." Cry nodded. Without warning, a bulky guy with dirty blonde hair walked back into the gym.
"Hello, can I help you?" Saph asked.
"Well I can help you. I meant to tell you this during the lesson but I didn't want anyone else to hear." The boy explained.
"What is it?" Saph stepped closer to the boy.
"I have the ability to control explosions. I can make ones from firecrackers to nuclear explosions. I was wondering if I could be of any help during the fight." He stared at the ground.
"That could be of use to us if the situation gets too bad." Saph motioned for Cry to come forward and he followed "This is Cry, he can turn invisible and create force fields." The boy stuck out his hand and Cry shook it.
"My name's Will." He smiled.
"I want you two to stick together at all times and protect each other. If I give the signal, then I want you to tell everyone to get close to Cry. He'll create a force field around everyone and Will can create an explosion large enough to take out all the remaining Order members."
"But you'll kill all of them!" Cry exclaimed in disgust.
"I know Cry, I don't want to do it either. But if it comes down to it I'm willing to sacrifice a few lives to save the majority of them. And it's only as a last resort. I won't do it if I don't have to." Saph comforted him and both nodded. Will walked away and left the gym.
"So that's that I guess…" Mitch sighed.
"Yeah… I guess I'll go now. I'm pooped from that training." Minx yawned and the rest of the Youtubers, except for Mark and Saph, left the gym. Mark sighed and turned to her.
"Saph, I don't want you to be in the fight. I think you should guard Ms. Wattman."
"Mark…I know you want to protect me, but I have to do this! You know that. The whole reason I wanted everyone in the main fight is that I want to keep an eye on them. If something happened to one of them I wouldn't forgive myself." Saph stared at him. Mark lunged forward and gave her a tight hug.
"If anything happened to you I wouldn't forgive myself." He whispered into her ear.
"Well how about we keep an eye on each other then? We can keep each other out of trouble." Sap pulled away.
"Deal" Mark nodded and they left the gym hand in hand.
Ahhhhh! The end is near! I plan to wrap up this story in the next chapter and possibly have an epilogue. Hope you guys are excited as I am for the big finale! Love you guys so much! Bye!
