Artemis's POV:

Artemis and Dick walked into the basement to see mass hysteria. Megan, Zantanna, and Aqualad where moving boxes of ammunition for the house's outer defenses. Wally was zipping back and forth, grabbing tools for a frustrated Conner, who was messing with one of the many montorcycles in the basements. Artemis noticed, before telling Grayson

"See you later."

Artemis walked over and knelt next to Conner. He was fiddling with the engine, muttering curses all the while. She studied his hands as he turned a wrench.

"It turns right, not left."

Conner looked up at her in shock, before looking back at engine and turning the wrench the other way. The bolt went in.

"Thanks."

He grumbled.

"No problem."

She started to walk away.

"Wait!"

Artemis turned, one eyebrow cocked.

"Can you hand me that screw driver?"

Artemis shrugged, grabbed the screw driver and passed it to him, before walking away.

"You know, she missed you. We all did."

Artemis sighed.

"I know."

She murmured, before tucking a strand of loose red hair behind her ear and walking back to Robin. He was fiddling at some wires from a broken keyboard.

"Be careful, that stuff is expensive."

He turned to grin at her.

"I know. How did you afford this stuff anyway. Last time I checked, your home situation wasn't that great."

Artemis clinched her hands into fists and growled slightly at him. Dick winched.

"Sorry."

Pulse relaxed.

"I'm a multimillionaire, remember? You won't believe how easy it is to get some of this stuff when you pull out your wallet. I mean, who can afford adamantium covered amour besides the rich?"

"I believe you."

Artemis gave him a sly grin.

"I guess batman is one of the top buyers?"

"You have no idea."

They both laughed.

Wally's POV:

Wally watched Artemis and Dick laugh together from afar, well not really afar, about 10 feet.. you know what? Far enough. A can of oil was crumpled slightly in his palm, and waves of anger rolled of him. Dick had a girlfriend! And about 12 other ladys after him! He didn't need all the girls. One of the first girls he ever loved, no the only girl he ever loved , just got swepted of her feet by his best friend. Life sucks. Wally was so engrossed in his thoughts of getting Artemis, he didn't notice someone beside him until they spoke.

"You like her."

Wally gasped and stumbled back. The oldest girl, Ella, stood there watching him gasp for air calmly. She was wearing a dark grey suit with weird swirls of color running across it. Her shoulder length hair had been pulled back into a ponytail, and her calm aurora didn't calm him down one bit.

"Kid, don't do that!"

He shakily stood back on his feet. She glanced at him quizzingly.

"I thought your best friend was Robin. You should be used to it by now, or at least from what Artemis told us."

He frowned. Why did Artemis tell the kids stuff, not them? Ella smiled and lightly sang,

"You lloovveeee her don't you."

He shoved her away.

"Shut up kid."

Her masked eyes grew wide.

"You DO!"

Next thing he knew, she was smirking. In a way that reminded him wayyy to much of Artemis.

"Give me 5 bucks and I won't scream it out loud."

Wallys eyes widen and he hissed

"Shut your mouth."

"I don't see any cash."

She sang lightly, her wide grin throwing him off.

"Fine."

Wally dug in to his pocket and pulled out a 10.

"This is all I got."

The girl snatched up the money and sniffed it. Sniffed it. Wally was used to shifty figures and strange events, but this girl was just strange. Anyway, Ella stuck the money in a hidden pocket of her uniform.

"I won't tell anyone."

She promised, before running over to Spirit and whispering something into his ear, which made him drop the box he was carrying onto his foot. The poor kid yelped and began jumping up and down on his still good foot, screaming something in a language Wally didn't understand, but sounded like French.

"Oww! MON PIED! Attendez, Kid Flash aime ma sœur aînée? Il devrait pourrir en enfer, où il ne sera pas la déranger et la laisser seule! Et allez-vous me procurer un sac de glace foutue? Ce putain de mal!"

Needless to say Ella was rolling with laughter. She took pleasure in watching that poor kid pain. Wally mentally reminded himself to take get a DNA test for that girl, just to double check the fact she and Artemis, were not in fact, related.

...

Artemis, dressed in her Pulse uniform, stood on a box in front of them.

"Okay troops, I'm here to tell you how this is going to work. We will spilt up into three teams. Water, Air, and Ground. Now, we all know that Hunter likes to strike hard from the air, so Spirit and I will take the air. Sapp, you and Element will take the water. And Clay, you take the ground."

"Whoa whoa whoa, you can't put a baby into battle!"

Zantanna shouted as the others shouted in agreement. Artemis smirked.

"Well thank god Clay isn't a normal baby. Thunder, battle form."

Pulse commanded. Kid Flash watched a water began to wrap around Thunders legs, lifting him to his feet. The water quickly wrapped around the rest of his body, increasing until Clay was over 7 feet tall. He punched a hole in the wall, before starting to walk out the door with the rest of the children.

"What about us."

Aqualad asked. Artemis shrugged and answered

"your the team leader you decide."

She launched herself of the box, before falling into a back flip, landing, before three consecutive handsprings. She pushed off a small box, flying into the air, just as the blurred shape of Artemis's bird flew in. Pulse grabbed onto its saddle before flying out a window, followed by Spirit, riding on his own cloud.

"Wow."

Wally heard Rocket mummer in awe beside him. Wally had to agree. That girl was amazing.
