The new found silence that hung heavily over the head of the purple masked turtle as he sat in his lab was unnatural, and almost deafening. Donatello was sat as his desk, his chin resting on his folded arms as he stared forlornly at what remained of his companion; Metalhead's metal head.
He let out a long sigh. Why did this have to happen? He created Metalhead to be intelligent, powerful and useful, but he was not aware of how much Metalhead had begun to evolve the longer his A.I was installed in him. He had even begun to develop a personality of sorts; sassing Leonardo, scolding Michelangelo…
He even went so far as sacrificing himself to save their lives.
Donnie sighed again, turning his sad brown eyes to look at the frozen tank on his wall. Despite being made of metal, Metalhead was Donnie's friend. And yet, he had failed to save him too.
Just like he had failed to save Timothy...
Michelangelo popped his head through the lab door in that moment, watching in silence as Donnie buried his face in his arms. If there was one thing that Mikey hated, it was to see his brothers in such a state. He has been like this for the past couple of days, and the others didn't know what to do to console him, or even cheer him up…
Suddenly, a light bulb flickered on in Mikey's brain as he grinned. He quickly slipped out of Donnie's lab and ran to seek out his other brothers.
A few hours later, a knock was heard at Donnie's lab doors. Donnie lifted his head and looked towards the door, "Um, come in," he announced.
Michelangelo, Leonardo, Raphael, Casey and April waltzed in moments later, smiling at him as they drew closer and formed a semi-circle around him as h looked up at them in confusion. "What's going on guys?" he asked.
Mikey bent down and put a hand on his shoulder. "Donnie, bro, we're here to cheer you up!" he said with a grin, holding out a video camera.
Donnie looked from the camera to Mikey, then to the others around him, and his mouth formed a grin. He shook his head and let out a chuckle, "Oh good. Just what I needed. More insanity…"
With April and Donnie behind the camera, Raph, Casey, Leo and Mikey got up and stood in a line, all of them grinning as they began.
Donnie was going to love this...
All: Oh, Idey idey idey idey idey idey I!
Casey: I once went out with a guy!
Leo: (laughing) I took him to the movies,
Raph: Things got out of hand,
Mikey: It really was quite groovies!
Casey: (smirking) We went back to my place,
Leo: And then it got intense!
Raph: Boy we had a lot of fun!
Mikey: I had to put up a fence!
All: (laughing) Oh Idey idey idey idey idey idey I!
Leo: I didn't have what I needed,
Raph: Boy we had some fun!
Mikey: I think…um, I made a mistake!
Casey: I was the unlucky one!
Leo: (straining to hold back laughter) When I got home that night,
Raph: My ovaries did swell!
Mikey: (choking on laughter) I puffed out my chiffy pop!
Casey: I'm a dude! WHAT THE HELL?!
(The room filled with laughter at that point, including Donnie, who had to lean on April for support after his legs nearly gave out from laughing too hard. "Casey, what the hell?!" he cried.
Casey shrugged, "Sorry man!"
"Guys, keep it going, we don't have much battery left!" April laughed)
Raph: I started getting fatter!
Mikey: I dilated there!
Casey: I had me baby,
Leo:…right in me underwear!
Raph: (laughing) Boy, it was painful!
Mikey: The head started to crown,
Casey: He turned around and said, "Dad!"
Leo: "Why is your face a clown?!"
All: (laughing hard again) Oh Idey idey idey idey idey idey I!
Mikey: I slapped him on the butt there!
Casey: And then I slapped his head!
Leo: And when I slapped his backside,
Raph: I slapped the doctor instead!
Mikey: (giggling) I called my boy, 'Roy',
Casey: He looked…good!
Leo: And when I got him home that night,
Raph: You can get poo from food!
All: (except Leo and Mikey, who were laughing far to hard to continue) Oh Idey idey idey idey idey idey I! Oh I, dee, daye, dee, daaaaayye!
The group of teenagers stumbled out of Donnie's lab, all laughing far too hard to contain themselves any longer. However, Mikey was the first to regain himself and looked over to Donnie, who was trying very hard to breathe. "Don, you're gonna be okay now?" he asked him with a grin.
Donnie looked to Mikey and smiled revealing the gap in his teeth. Despite the constant regret he felt upon not being able to save his two friends from their fates, he knew that his brothers would always be around to cheer him up when he needed them the most. And this, of course, was one of those times. "Yeah, Mikey. I think I will. Thanks," he said, stepping over to give his little brother a hug, to which he gladly returned.
"However, there is only one thing that I will not tolerate," he said flatly. The others turned to look at him, raising their brows in confusion.
"Casey Jones, you cannot get a man pregnant."
And the laughter ensued once again.
