Author's Note/s: So… I found this supposedly 2nd chapter hastily written on one of my notebooks from waaaaaay back. :) I was fixing stuff… one thing led to another, I found this notebook, and VOILA! 2nd chapter! Ha-ha. And so sorry, if this is rather late. This story doesn't have a deep plot. I just come up with ideas for each chapter randomly. so. ha. No time to proofread this so sorry for grammatical errors! And even though this is supposed to be in the view of the 3rd person, sometimes, I forget that and keep putting "I" and "my" in the person of Sakura. But no. I'm sorry. It's a 3rd person view so if you see some I's and My's omg sorry. :)))

This one has a lot of SasuSaku interaction! so. Enjoy! :)

Bad day.

It wasn't even 6 in the fucking morning and already, Sakura was having a bad day.

Waking up to the familiar sound of her alarm clock, which she most definitely did not remember setting this early, she picked her phone up as per routine and got the shock of her life.

There was a message from an unknown number. It went like this; Hey, I had fun last night. Can't wait for our date later. I'll pick you up at 3pm after your class?

Her initial instinct was to ask this person who the fuck he was but the first line in the message had her stuck.

Had fun last night? What the fuck happened last night?

That was when a barrel of images washed over her like a wave, her memories still unclear but good enough to make her remember that she had lost a bet. To Ino. Those never ended well even when she was sober.

While drinking on a school day was a big no-no for her most of the time, yesterday was an exception. Because yesterday, results from the group work came out and guess what, she flunked a test for the very first time in her entire life.

So, she recalled, rather with a bit of difficulty, how the evening went. Ino dared her to flirt with a guy. She did, end of story. Was there more to it than that?

Immediately, she speed dials the blonde and listens as the device rang twice before she heard the groggy, husky, clearly-just-woken-up voice of Yamanaka Ino.

"Ino," she says quietly, biting her lip anxiously.

"Yeah?" She hears a yawn and pictures how her friend must be squinting with her mouth wide open.

"I have a date today."

This, got Ino jumping on her heels. "What? With who? When did this happen? Do you need me to come over to help you get dolled up? When is this happeni-?"

"Ino, stop." Sakura interrupts her.

She did and for a while, there was nothing but silence. Sakura could tell the suspense was making her tense.

"I don't… I don't know the guy." She confesses. She waits for her friend to say something but when the blonde didn't, she decided to continue. "Probably someone from the bar last night. I don't really remember what happened."

"Oh my God, the bet."

Sakura chews on her lip.

"Sakura, I'm so sorry!" She sounded all too apologetic.

"Don't be." It wasn't her fault. Her friend dared her to flirt with a guy, agreeing to go out with him on a date was all Sakura - drunken Sakura. "Just, God, what am I going to do? Ino, I don't know the guy! And what if… what if i did more than just agree on a date with him last night? What if I did more than just flirting? Oh my God, Oh my God, Oh my-"

"Sakura, you have to stop. Breathe." Comes the reply from the other line.

"Okay, I'm breathing." The pinkette says as calmly as she could.

"Okay, so I'll meet you at - like, what time is it? five… forty. right. - I'll meet you at 7:15. You call Hinata, I'll call Tenten and Karin, kays?"

"Okay."

"Bye."

"Bye."

Today was definitely going to be a long day.

Sakura arrived earlier than the rendezvous time. At about quarter to 7, the school grounds look a lot like a graveyard where zombies came out to feast. There weren't even signs of the janitors' existence.

"Perfectly understandable," she mutters to herself, hugging her bag closer to her as she walks toward their classroom. Classes didn't start until 8:30.

Opening the door to their classroom, she entered the area and got, for the second time that day, the shock of her life.

"Sasuke!" She screamed, one arm automatically resting on her chest, where her erratically beating heart was. She hadn't expected anyone being here this early. "Don't do that!"

She was perfectly aware he hadn't done anything.

One, perfect, dark brow rose from it's original place in the aforementioned teen's face. He hasn't even made a single move. She went and shocked herself.

"You're so still! Not to mention pale, and wear dark clothes! I thought you were a ghost!" She proceeded to stalk in his direction and sat beside him. "Why are you so early?"

"I always come early."

"Why?"

"So I could pick a seat."

"Oh."

"You?"

"Huh."

He grunts and she concludes that Sasuke was definitely not a mooring person despite coming here early everyday. "Why are you early?"

"Oh. Um, I need to sort out matters with the girls."

Sasuke doesn't give a response. He doesn't bother asking her about it because they both knew he didn't have to ask for her to tell him. She was just talkative like that.

"I have a date." She tells him quietly, as if testing the waters.

"Oh?" Sasuke utters with extreme disinterest, earning a pout from the pinkette.

"You could act a bit more normal. Naruto would engage dad-mode if he found out."

"I don't see anything wrong with going out on a date. Besides, you're old enough."

"Well, the problem is, I don't know the guy! I met him probably at the bar last night and probably promised him a date. Probably? See, I was drunk - "

"You went drinking? You brought this upon yourself. Go and accept your punishment."

She bangs her forehead lightly on the table in frustration. Why is this man so… so indifferent? "You could at least try helping me!"

"Why? Isn't that why you and the girls are coming early? To sort thing out." He says that one last sentence while making quote-gestures in the air. "Why do I need to get dragged in this?"

"Because you're my friend." Sakura leans in closer to him all the while, her head still rested on the table.

"Since when?"

"Since we flunk that test together. See? That's the start of something new for us."

"Stop quoting High School Musical, it's annoying."

"But you see, you know it's from High School Musical which means you watched it. Besides, you watch Titanic. I wouldn't doubt if you had the soundtrack of all 3 HSM movies in your iPhone."

Sasuke sighs in defeat, knowing fully well whatever he says now will come back as a Titanic-based retort to mock him. "What do you want from me?"

Sakura blinks. Clearly, unprepared for his surrender. "I don't know. Help?"

Sasuke glares at her dumb reply. "How, dufus?"

Blink. Twice. Thrice. "I seriously got nothing."

Sigh.

"I wish I didn't go drinking…" Sakura begins to ramble. "I wish I just raped you so we wouldn't have flunked that shit and THEN I wouldn't have gone drinking."

"That's why you went drinking?"

"I'm surprised that's what you're asking even after I said I wish I had raped you."

"Guys don't get raped."

"Would you prefer the other way around then?"

Sakura notices one of Sasuke's brows twitch and tries her best to bite back a smile. She was getting on his nerves and in a way, she found this amusing.

"If I say 'yes', will you shut up?"

"Gee, I don't know." She says to spite him more. "I don't know wether I'm repulsed or flattered by the idea."

Sasuke rolled his eyes and decided to remain silent. Sakura looked at her watch and found out that there were still 15 minutes to kill before the others got here. Sighing, she leaned back on her chair and, without really thinking about it, started to hum.

Sasuke, although appeared to be indifferent was actually listening intently to the music she was making. Sakura's humming was actually quite soothing and he found he quite didn't mind the lack of silence as long as it's like this.

Suddenly, Sakura stops humming and a frown etches on Sasuke's face without permission. He was about to ask her why she stopped when she sang the next verses instead.

Almost

Almost is never enough

So close to being in love

If I should have known that you wanted me

The way I wanted you

Maybe we wouldn't be two world apart

But right here in each other's arms

And we almost

She noticed the way Sasuke was looking at her from her peripheral view and stopped. "Sorry," she said, giving him a sheepish smile. "I'm not used to silence."

He continued giving her that look. "Okay, okay. It's annoying, I know. I'll stop." She says, misunderstanding the look he was giving her.

"You sing."

"Not really. I have concerts in the shower."

Sasuke gave her another one of his hard-to-read looks.

"I mean, my voice isn't High School Music-" One glare cuts her and makes her divert her musical reference to a more acceptable one by Sasuke's standards, "-er, okay, not Titanic-soundtrack material but it has not got to be that bad!" She pouts, completely misinterpreting his stare.

"I didn't say anything."

"Whatever. Your eyes say it all. So I'm just gonna shut up now."

"Sakura, your voice isn't bad. It isn't anywhere near bad. It's actually… unexpectedly… good - coming from a weirdo like you."

"Shut up. Stop trying to comfort me." Clearly, the pinkette doesn't believe him.

Sasuke just gives up. "Idiot."

"Sakura!"

Said person along with her company are both startled by the loud voice followed by the equally loud banging of the door. Ino comes in, in a rush, her bag clutched in one hand, her phone on the other. She breathes heavily from sprinting from the parking lot to their room as she walks over to them.

"Let me just," she says, bending down once she's reached their seat, "catch my breath a second."

After taking a few deep breaths, Ino is once again fine and dandy, putting on an expression that made her seem like she'd just won the lottery. "I have a brilliant idea!"

"You're early." Sakura observes.

"Because I could sense you'd be here earlier too. But that's beside the point," She grabs her friend's arms and begins shaking her. "I have a brilliant idea!"

"Okay?"

"We need to utilize Naruto."

"Naruto isn't here yet. In the meantime, Sasuke's at our disposal."

"Eh?" The blonde looks at the dark-haired boy seating quietly beside her friend. She entertains the thought for 2 seconds before considering it null. "I don't think Sasuke-kun's fit to be your pretend-boyfriend."

Sasuke raises his brow at this. He didn't like Yamanaka's idea of having to pretend like someone's boyfriend because it was bothersome and none of this was his business but he found this quite challenging, and Uchiha Sasuke was never one to back out on any challenge.

"I mean," Ino continues, "he probably doesn't even know your favorite food."

"Dango," Sasuke effortlessly provides.

"Favorite color?" Ino challenges.

"Green."

"Favorite book?"

"Mortal Instruments, Maximum Ride."

"Favorite Place?"

"Starbucks."

"Birthday?"

"March 28."

"Cup size?"

Beat.

"Ha!" Ino huffs in victory.

"Ino!" Sakura exclaims, her face flushed from embarrassment. Her fists clenching on her sides was all she could do to keep on covering her chest area as if it were bare. She turns to Sasuke with an incredulous look. "How do you even know all that?"

Sasuke shrugs, as if the answer was so obvious.

"Are you stalking me?"

Sasuke glares at her inquisition. "You wish."

"Then how?"

"When Naruto talks," Sasuke begins, hating the fact that he had to explain himself. "the whole world hears. The only reason I don't know your cup size is probably because the idiot doesn't even know himself. When he finds out, however, you rest assure the world will know it too."

"Wow," Ino breathes with wide eyes. "That's probably the longest I've heard Sasuke-kun talk."

"That's because when the teacher calls on him to read an entire paragraph, you're too busy drooling to listen." Sakura gives away.

Swat.

"What?" She rubs at the arm that Ino swatted and turns to Sasuke. "She does. Like, all the time."

Swat.

"Oww!" She rubs at her thighs this time. "Stop that!"

She isn't at all fazed by the intense glare the blonde was currently giving her.

"Keep making that expression and your face won't ever go back to normal."

"My mom always says that." Sasuke found himself sharing.

"Mikoto and I are soulmates." Sakura declares, feeling fond of the elder woman.

"Too bad she's already married." Sasuke jokes. He thinks for a moment before adding, "That's okay, you can have me instead."

Clearly not expecting that last part, Sakura and Ino gapes at him.

"It's rude to stare at your boyfriend like that, Sak."

"Since when did you become my boyfriend?" Sakura asks once she's recovered, finding the situation quite cheeky.

"Since we flunk that test together. It's the start of something new, remember?"

Their staring contest was interrupted by a rather loud squealing from the side. They found Ino covering her mouth, clearly trying to stop herself from making anymore noise. Not even her hand, however, was enough to cover that huge smile on her face. "I'm sorry! Ignore me please."
