Hey folks, just another really short one, these chapters are really just to keep it going, and give you guys something to read while I focus on studies. Sorry about that. Also, sorry for making the story so sad all of a sudden (again) but, I promise, there is always method to my madness.

Jody opened her eyes to find herself staring up at the pristine white ceiling of the children's ward at Holby City Hospital. Slowly, she placed her hands beside her on the bed and usef them to prop herself up. She rubbed her eyes and made an attempt to focus. Upon doing so, she found she wasn't alone in the room, Sam was there.

"Hello." She said, simply.

"H-hi."

"Why Jodes? Just please, tell me why! Why didn't you talk to your mum, or your dad. Why didn't you phone me? Why?" Sam pleaded, she wasn't angry, if anything, she felt guilty, she was upset it had come to self harm again.

"I, I don't know. Sometimes it just happens. Sometimes there not time to think 'wait, I could go talk about this'. Sometimes, sometimes my head just gets into a state! Rational thinking is out! I can't control it! I'm past that! Then there's only one thing to do to get out of it!" She said, tears welling in her eyes.

"I know! I know what it is, I know that same frame of mind. I've been there, remember? The only way to avoid that 'state', as you so rightly put, is to talk, the minute something is worrying you. Don't give anything the chance to put you in the state." She said.

"Yeah, well, sometimes it just isn't that easy. Can you go get me my mum please? I want my mum!" She said, beginning to cry. Sam nodded sadly.

"Yeah, be back in a minute." With that, she left the room. Jody placed her face in her hands and cried. Sam was right, she knew that, and she knew she shouldn't be self harming, she knew it only made it better for a few minutes. She knew it all, but none of that mattered when her head got into that horrible place! She could tell you to hell freezes over that she knew it was bad, and that she wanted to stop, but when her emotions got out of control, she'd be straight back to square one. She knew that too. By the time Zoe came, her face was flooded with tears. When the door opened, she looked up with sad eyes, to find Zoe, staring at her, with an expression filled with hurt, sadness, guilt and pity. That look alone was enough to send her flying, and she burst out into tears all over again. In an instant, Zoe knew there was nothing else for it, and was by her daughter's side in an instant.

"I'm sorry." Jody whispered.

"I know." Was Zoe's reply, and it was enough to comfort her.
