Sadly I still own nothing but it would make an amazing Christmas present! I got a keyring for Christmas that says the future Mrs Benedict Cumberbatch so you never know!

"Are you listening Doctor Watson?" the voice asked calmly.

"You know I am," John said said evenly.

"I know but it all seems so much better when I hear you say it," Moriarty said with a laugh. "Now you know what you need to do. Don't worry, we'll talk again soon, very soon," he said.

"Wait, what happens if I refuse to do as you say?" John demanded.

"I think you and I both already know the answer to that John. Of course feel free to test it, it would make for an interesting turn of events, but I have to admit I really don't think you will," Moriarty answered.

John's mind was whirling as he tried to think of what to do. How could Sherlock not have known something like this was going to happen? He cursed himself the second the thought entered his head. Sherlock was amazing, he knew things about people nobody else ever could but he was still human, he couldn't read people's minds, there was no way he could know everything that was going to happen all the time, even if it did feel like it at times.

"I'm waiting for an answer Doctor Watson, we both know I don't like to be kept waiting," Moriarty said cutting through John's thoughts.

"Alright," John said quickly.

"Alright what?" he pressed with an audible smirk.

"I'll do it," he said quietly.

"There's a good boy. See, I know you would, talk soon John, bye," he said cutting the call off. Leaving John with no choice but to do what he wanted. He felt despair washing over him, he needed Sherlock, he needed his help but he had no way of asking him for it and even if he could he wasn't sure how much help Sherlock would be at the moment. He was just going to have to hope he came up with something along the way, hope wasn't the right word, he needed to come up with something. The price was too high if he didn't and it wasn't a price he was willing to pay, it was one he couldn't pay.

He walked back into the hospital room carrying the stuff Sherlock had told him to bring. "Hey mate, how you doing? John asked forcing his voice to sound normal.

"Don't talk to me like i'm an invalid," Sherlock said evenly.

"It's a normal question to ask someone in hospital," John said reasonably almost forgetting for a second the dreadful situation he was in as the normal sparring that he had come to enjoy began to play out.

"Even so it-" Sherlock cut off as he looked at John closely. "What is it, what's going on?" he asked abruptly.

"Nothing, northing's wrong, well apart from the obvious," he said trying to keep the emotion out of his voice. He needed Sherlock's help but it would be too dangerous to ask for it, perfectly planned as Sherlock was the only one who could get them out of this. He had no idea what to do or what to hope for.

"The only thing that is glaringly obvious at this precise moment is that you are lying to me. Do you really think you can outsmart me John?" Sherlock asked in disbelief.

"Everything is fine, really," John said again willing Sherlock to drop this. He didn't know how Moriarty could be listening but he couldn't eliminate the possibility. A nagging voice in his mind kept insisting that Moriarty just wanted him to think he was listening an the answer to the problem was literally right in front of him but ultimately it was too big a risk to take. He couldn't help but think in trying to keep him safe he may have just cost his best friend his life. He had to stop thinking this way, he was going to make sure Sherlock lived because he simply couldn't lose him again.

Sherlock watched John closely he was sure that he was hiding something but he couldn't think what it was. He didn't like that, he was always able to work out when people were lying and what about. He was always able to read John., it unsettled him that he couldn't think what he was missing in this. Was he wrong? Was there really nothing going on? Was he starting to lose his touch? That was something he had always inwardly worried about that his mind would stop working how it did. He pushed the thought away he hated when others defined him by his epilepsy so he couldn't make the same stupid mistake so many others did. He felt the medication they had him on working its way through his system making it harder to focus. He eventually stopped fighting to keep his eyes open and let himself drift off to sleep. He would need to accept, for now at least that there was nothing going on with John as he didn't have his usual sound proof to prove otherwise.

John watched as Sherlock fell asleep. He could read his friend better than he knew and saw that he was starting to doubt himself and was making himself accept that he had been telling the truth. The sheer apparent hopelessness of his situation near knocked the breath from him a moment. He stood motionless at Sherlock's bedside before making himself leave.

He knew Sherlock wasn't one to ever accept things easily he had to keep clinging to that but he also had to remember this wasn't usual circumstances. He grimaced slightly as he saw the fleeting doubt in Sherlock's eyes. He gasped slightly as reality slowly sunk in as he realised what Moriarty was doing, the real way he planned to play this game with Sherlock. He was using Sherlock's real biggest weakness and fear, the fear of having his epilepsy used against him. He knew just how stubborn his friend was and how this could against him to help reinforce the thoughts in Sherlock's mind giving Moriarty exactly what he wanted and had planned form the beginning. "Shit," John uttered just as his phone rang again.

"I see you've figured out my plan Doctor Watson, now let us begin, he said with a chilling laugh.
