I sadly own nothing! If I did the DVDs would have loads more extras and I wouldn't have to wait ages for season four!

"What's her name, don't I at least get to know the name of the girl you are planning to move in with?"

John's stomach lurched as the words hung thick in the air. He had no idea what to do or say but he knew it was crucial he stopped Sherlock walking away. "Sherlock, wait," he tried weakly.

"I haven't actually left, yet," he said coolly.

"Good, look can we go back to the flat and talk about this?" he asked carefully.

"Allow me to be clear, I have not left yet because I am waiting for a taxi," he said acidly causing John to wince slightly. He knew Sherlock could be cold but he had never heard him speak to him like this before.

"Sherlock, I'm sorry it's not the way it looks. Don't do this okay lets just go back to the flat and talk about this. I'm not leaving it like this. I'm coming with you wither you like it or not," John said getting into the taxi with Sherlock before he could order it to drive off. The drive back to Baker Street seemed to drag on indefinitely. He was used to long periods of silence in Sherlock's company but never anything like this.

"Do what you want John," Sherlock said coldly as he threw money at the taxi driver and headed upstairs.

"Sherlock, don't be like that,"

"John it doesn't matter alright, I don't need you to stay here especially after what you let happen. It doesn't matter. None of it matters. Just go and live the life of domestic bliss that you have been planning and leave me alone. This is it though John I am not being the one who provides you excitement when you are bored with domestic harmony. This and your actions today showed me this just isn't worth the effort," he said dismissively.

"Cut the crap Sherlock," John near yelled causing Sherlock to look at him with distaste. "Stop trying to push me away the second I do something that huts you. I am not trying to hurt you Sherlock so stop pushing me and others away. There are people who care about you when you stop being enough of a prick to notice. I know I messed up but you get things wrong with people's feelings all the time so you really can't talk. So stop acting like a child and let us talk about this like adults," John asked.

"About what?" Sherlock enquired.

"What do you mean about what?" John nearly exploded.

"Do you want to talk about this woman you are moving in with or about why you allowed Moriarty to use my weakness against me? Don't get me wrong I do not need you to save me but I would have thought if you were my friend as you claim to be you would have at least attempted to stop it. Do not think me as needy and pathetic as most other people I am simply saying telling you made no difference at all. I was right to keep it to myself. I am tired of you tying many things I do that are just me to my epilepsy. I see no point in you claiming to worry about my epilepsy then allowing it to be used against me, it was pointless, you played into Moriarty's hands and I don't know why I am the slightest bit surprised," he stated.

"For the last time Sherlock, it wasn't like that and I don't want to just leave you. I do care about you and want to help you. I panicked with Moriarty I didn't want to put you in more danger and I fucked it up. I am so sorry Sherlock," John said urgently.

"And this woman you are moving in with?" he asked.

"I, I am seeing someone I know I should have told you. I just never got the chance," he said amazed that Sherlock cared so much. He never had any interest in his love live other than to be extremely rude to the girl.

"Wrong," Sherlock snapped.

"What?"

"You didn't introduce her to me or mention her to me at all because you feel differently about this one. You didn't want to risk me saying anything that would ruin your relationship something you weren't concerned about with the others. So go on, move in with who ever she is and leave me alone. You behaved perfectly this evening anyway," he said dismissively.

"Of course I worry about what you are going to say to people I go out with but this wasn't like that it – wait, what do you mean I behaved perfectly this evening?" John asked.

"Your reaction with Moriarty was perfect. Amazing how some of your most inspired moments are when you are not trying to be clever," he answered.

"What are you talking about?" John asked.

"You let Moriarty see exactly what he needed to see. he thinks he's won. He thinks He'll see your complete lack of usefulness in any situation requiring a plan as a failure to me meaning I'd lose the only person I've admitted to seeing as a friend. Do not start with the sentiment I am merely stating what he thinks not a statement of fact," he said coldly.

"So, we are okay?" John asked carefully still not sure what was

"Not quite, we still have another issue to discuss," Sherlock responded.

"More than one surely, what about Moriarty what happens with him now?" John asked.

"Not important right now, he can wait he's contained, for the moment for one who claims to be as smart as me he can be incredibly slow at times," he said with distaste.

"Then you want to talk about -"

"Yes,"

"Her name's Mary, we have been going out about a year now. You are right it does feel different from my past relationships but that isn't why I haven't introduced you to her and moving in? I am not moving in with her. I have to admit Sherlock i'm surprised that you care this much," he said before he could stop himself and regretting it the moment he did. "Shit, Sherlock i'm getting this all so wrong you know i'm not very good at this sort of thing. I didn't mean..."

"Yes I care John, I need to know that if you still want to work with me that you wont be scuttling off to your other half every ten minutes or arguing constantly over whose turn it is to make the dinner," he said.

"No I, I wont of course I still want this, you know with us," John said confused by Sherlock's sudden change in mood until he looked at him and saw the bastard had played him again. Sherlock had been testing him to make sure he could still rely on him, as much as Sherlock relied on anybody to work with him and as usual he had completely and totally fallen for it. "You bastard!" John said shaking his head.

"I knew you weren't moving in with her. Why would you sign the lease to rent the flat for another six months if you were planning on moving out? One question though, why were you looking up flats?" Sherlock asked.

"Mary is looking to move into a new place and I was helping her with it. Anyway look what is going to happen with Moriarty. This can't be it, can it?" John asked.

"Later, I said that can wait there is something more important we need to do first," Sherlock said.

"What?" John asked

"Invite Mary round to the flat I want to meet her. Tomorrow night should be good don't try and get out of it John it is about time I met her afterall I am your best friend as you keep reminding me. I want to see what all the fuss is about and find out what on earth it is about you that she is attracted to," he said.

"Charming but no I really think we should-"

"Invite her to dinner yes I think so too, seven tomorrow night it is, I look forward to it. You can cook, sort of right?" Sherlock asked lying on the couch shutting his eyes without waiting for an answer. He needed to sleep. He still didn't feel well after the mini fit he had taken at the warehouse and did not have the energy for a full fit. He drifted off on the couch while John worried about how he was going to break this to Mary.
