Okay, so I did something a little different this time. I decided to completely rewrite the final scene of the episode, so this isn't an add-on; it's more of a do-over.

"Man," Deeks says, shaking his head in disbelief. "I really wish I could have been there to see that guy's face when you dropped those bullets. That is awesome."

"Yeah, it was pretty good," Sam boasts, packing his bag to leave for the night.

Callen chimes in, teasing Deeks. "Yeah, sorry you missed it. You were just too busy bonding with your new partner."

"Really?" Deeks sits down at his desk, stretching his legs and propping his feet up. "Always with the partner stuff, huh?"

"Is he overly defensive about this, Sam?"

Sam nods emphatically. "Definitely overly defensive."

Forcing a laugh, Deeks crosses his arms over his chest. "Okay, maybe I am defensive. But I'd like to see how either of you would act if you two were broken up."

"Broken up?" Callen raises an eyebrow and Sam smirks.

Tilting his head, Deeks glares at the two senior agents. "You know what I mean." Sam and Callen just stare back at him, amused. "Whatever. It's not always easy being the third wheel in this year's hottest bromance. The trois of your ménage, the-"

"We get it, Deeks." Sam holds a hand up to stop him.

"Yeah…" Deeks says, cringing.

Callen slings his bag across his shoulder and signals to his partner. "Well Deeks, the big guy here is buying dinner tonight. You're welcome to come if it won't be too…awkward for you."

"Who says I'm buying?" Sam balks at his partner. "I don't buy dinner. You buy dinner. I drive."

Deeks coughs loudly. "Married."

"I thought the deal was whoever does the life-saving doesn't have to buy?" Callen holds his hands up, allowing a smug expression to cross his face. "I saved your life, you buy. And you drive."

Sam rolls his eyes. "Yeah, okay. You in, Deeks?"

"Yeah, no, I think I'll have to take a rain check on this one." He sits up, dropping his feet from his desk. "You two seem to have forgotten that we worked two cases today, and I'm wiped. Enjoy your date night."

Callen and Sam share a look and laugh at each other, speaking in unison. "Night Deeks."

Deeks strains his neck around so his eyes can follow them down the tunnel. When he feels confident that they're out of earshot, he calls loudly. "Nell! You still here?"

Nell pops up from behind one of the computer stations, causing Deeks to jump out of his chair. "Yeah, I'm still here. You guys talk way too much."

"Geez, you scared the crap out of me," Deeks say, dramatically holding his chest. "Have you been taking Jedi lessons from Hetty again? Seriously."

Glaring at him, Nell walks over to him and pulls her tablet away from her chest, clicking away on it with her stylus. "Anyway…there's nothing that I can find that would lead me to believe Kensi is in trouble. No agent in distress alerts, no extra forces sent to their current location, and as far as I know Granger hasn't alerted Hetty of any trouble." She turns her tablet around to show him her lack of suspicious activity.

Sighing, Deeks leans against his desk. 'So why can't any of us reach her? Aren't you even a little bit worried?"

"I'm sure she's fine," Nell responds firmly. Deeks looks pointedly at her, his eyes weak with worry. She shrugs her shoulders and hangs her head in defeat. "Maybe just a little worried."

Deeks closes his eyes and rubs the bridge of his nose. "I just don't know what to do. If there's something wrong we need to get her out of there, and we can't just play this waiting game until…" Nell nods her head in agreement. "Okay, so what do we do now? Tell Hetty?"

Looking over her shoulder, Nell eyes their Operations Manager. Hetty is sitting at her desk with a cup of tea, looking through paperwork. Hetty's eyes briefly look up and meet Nell's before returning to her work. Rubbing Deeks' arm in a reassuring manner, Nell offers a small smile to her friend. "This is Hetty we're talking about, Shaggy. If there's anything to know about, I'd wager she already knows."

Swallowing hard, Deeks looks over at his boss. "Yeah. Yeah, you're probably right."
