It had been almost 2 weeks since they had gone back to college, both Bella and Will missing the alone time they desperately craved. Bella, although disappointed that she wouldn't be able to see Will as much, was excited that her roommate, Anna, had decided to continue her schooling at the University of Elmsbury. Their dorm was a co-ed dorm, so Will lived on the floor above them, but sometimes it felt like he was light-years away. Anna was studying journalism, while she and Will were studying marine biology, so they had few classes together, if they were lucky. Bella was often so busy with her job at a bakery downtown, loving the idea of creating something beautiful made of food. Although they lived in the same building, Will was in a fraternity, taking a lot of his time away. When they had gotten back from Christmas vacation, he had gotten rushed into a fraternity, and at first he didn't want to join in because it meant he would spend even less time with Bella, but she forced him to go. Bella knew that Will would have been giving up a chance of a lifetime if he didn't join.

Anna had left already that morning to go meet up with her boyfriend Adam. He was engineering major, and also Will's roommate, having a similar passion for the ocean. Adam was a swimmer on the Gold Coast International Swim Team, and Will was a diver, so they always were constantly talking about new swim equipment or places they had swam. Bella was always glad to see that Will had made some friends at the University, worried that he would be alone because in high school, his friends were mainly girls.

Will knocked on Bella door, nervously adjusting his clothes, hoping that Bella wasn't busy. Bella was pulling on a pair of jean shorts when she heard someone knocking, quickly brushing the hair out of her face.

I wonder if Anna forgot her key again. I swear she needs to tattoo that thing to her chest.

She swung the door open, smiling when she saw her boyfriend's face shyly looking down at her. Although he was less than a foot taller than she was, she enjoyed having to look up into his sparkling blue eyes. She pulled him into her dorm, and wrapped her arms around his strong stomach, closing her eyes when he did the same. He titled her chin up, so her eyes were looking directly into his, as he passionately kissed her lips. Will scratched the back of his head nervously, and asked,

"Hey, so are you busy?"

"Hmm, well right now I'm kissing my boyfriend, but I can be up for something." Bella said with a smile.

Will smiled and kissed her again gently, savoring the sweet taste of her soft lips on his, never wanting the kiss to end.

"So you wanna grab a coffee from the café?" he asked questioningly.

"That sounds great" Bella replied.

She grabbed her keys, wallet, and wrote a quick note to Anna saying that she went out, and closed the door. Will ran his hand along her forearm, interlocking their fingers, and kissed her forehead. It was a warm spring afternoon, and the sun shone along their backs as they walked across campus to the café. Will was wearing a light blue V-neck shirt, which showed off his muscular arms, and cargo shorts, and Bella was wearing jean shorts and a white scoop neck shirt with a seersucker scarf, and sandals, while her blonde hair was blowing gently behind her in the breeze. Will held the heavy glass door of the café open for her, putting his hand on the small of her back and leading her inside. It was a popular place for students to relax, and study before their class, but their special spot was unoccupied. Bella smiled up at Will, and said,

"You get the drinks, and I will grab the spot before someone else takes it" she said with a laugh.

"Okay. The usual Bells?" He asked.

"Yep." She said.

The café had originally been a cellar, but was rebuilt into an underground coffee shop, so many parts of the shop were darker than the rest. When the place was converted, the builders had accidently forgot to remove a wall in the one of the corners, allowing for an isolated nook. The owners had placed 2 chairs in the nook, in the hopes of customers using it, but it had been ignored for years. Bella sat in one of the chairs, and watched Will order their drinks, smiling when she thought about all of their memories. College had been tough on their relationship, only seeing each other very little, due to school and work. Will brought their drinks over to the nook, handing Bella her steaming cup of coffee, before sitting in the chair beside her. They talked about Will's fraternity, their professors, and their classes. When they had finished, they walked back to their building, Will walking Bella to her dorm.

"So what are your plans tomorrow" Will asked.

"I have class at 10:00 and then I'm free all day. We could go for a swim." Bella asked.

"How could I say no to that." He said smiling.

Will kissed Bella goodnight, and walked back to the elevator to go to his dorm. Adam was already asleep, his head drooping against an open textbook, the light on his desk still on. Will laughed, and turned out the night, dreaming about swimming with is beautiful mermaid tomorrow.
