Chapter 21
When we left the hotel it was about midnight. No surprise it has to take at least 24 hours to just talk to a fucking titan let alone do them a favor. Luke was behind the wheel Jess and Nico in the back. And to my surprise they weren't fighting. I turn around to see if they where asleep and they weren't. Now Nico was just staring out the window, but here is the kicker, Nico turns to take a glance at Jess and he finds her staring at him like she ready to make out with him. Nico started to lean in closer to Jess's face ready to kiss her after waiting for a long three to four days. They were so close and Jess lost it. The best way I could describe this is that imagine someone who is addicted to something and tries to forget for good. And then some evil friend decides to tempt that person, and what does that person do? They give in. That is exactly what Jess did. She kissed him softly and then they well started making out. And it didn't take to long for them to remember how to either. I looked at the clock and decided to time how long it would take Jess to slap him. At exactly seven minutes and twenty-three seconds Jess pulled away and slapped him square in the face. He yelled,
" WHAT IN HADES WAS THAT FOR!"
Jess squarely says,
" You mouth raped me!"
I yell,
" OH SHUT UP! He didn't mouth rape you and you didn't mouth rape him."
" What are you talking about Ren?"
" You kissed him Jess. He didn't "jump" you. Now both of you buckle down and go to sleep."
And like good little children they shut up and went to sleep. I look over at Luke and say,
" Chaos is really screwing them over."
" No kidding. Thank the gods that he hasn't gottten to us."
I take his free hand and ask,
" Do you think that her kissing him was Jess's feelings for Nico trying to come out?"
" Yeah I do, because I know what true love looks like."
" You really have to stop doing that."
" What confessing my love for you?"
" No, confessing your love me while you are driving and I can't kiss you to return it."
" Sorry love, I will be sure to receive your kiss when stop. Where are we going again?"
" We are going to Phonix Arizona."
" What is the special titans name?"
" Mneomsyne. Titan of memory. I can't wait to see what she has in store for us."
" What is wrong with her?"
" She least likes me of all. But tolleratres me because of the other titans."
" Get some sleep Ren."
" Night Luke."
" Night Ren."
It didn't take long for me to drift asleep but it also didn't take long to run head on into my nightmares. When my eyes flew open I was surrounded by fire. I could see peoples faces burn in the flames. Then I heard his voice but the voice wasn't just one or his, it was thousands of screams that formed words. He said,
" I have waited along time to return to the domain of which was from me."
" What the hell are ypu talking about?"
" I recieved a prophacy before I disappeared. It went like this,
A warriors mother murdered
The warrior kills his own blood
And a traitor by the world protects this warrior
Until he sheds his blood
And Chaos shall rise again
With fearless blood,
That is you Ren. Tha whole prophacy is about you."
" No it's not. My mother was never murdered , she killed herself."
" Did she Ren? Did she?"
" Of course she did!?"
" You are affraid it's true."
" No I don't !"
" Yes you do. And you fear that you won't be living much longer now that you have family."
" You know nothing."
" Yes I do. I know your fear. And I feed off of it."
Then all the flames and ash collapsed on me. I couldn't breath. I couldn't fight back. All I could do was feel fear. For the first time in my life I truly felt fear. Then I woke up screaming Luke said,
" Ren, it's okay you are here with me. You're okay."
Luke pulled over and said,
" We should get a hotel room or something."
" No. I will drive. We have to keep going."
" It's okay to…"
" Get out I am driving."
He got out of the car as did I. We met at the front of the car and he said,
" What happened?"
" I don't remember."
I could tell that luke could see I was lying. But decided not to press it. He hugged me for a minute and then kissed me on my forehead and whispered,
" You are my world, my life, my soul, and I love you."
" I love you too."
I kissed him on the cheek and got in the car and started driving. I wanted to think about what Luke said to me but all I could think about was Chaos's word.
" Did she Ren? Did she?"
