Chapter 11
- 3rd POV -
"Would she be fine, Hanji-san? Nanaba asked he sat at the bedside of Crimson. "What exactly happened?" He just got back from a "mission" and here he is, no idea how the heck Crimson got injured this much.
"She'll be fine, her wound would heal in a week, her sprain might be all and well for 3 days. About her head wound, I suggest someone should help her wash it." Hanji paused as he injected some pain reliever to the fast asleep Crimson. "And all these injuries are acquired by saving a certain boy, that's what the cadets said atleast.
Nanaba pondered for a moment before asking what's bothering him. "D-did, she, I mean Crimson, like magically healed her wounds like last time?"
Little did they know, someone was listening behind the closed doors.
- Levi POV -
It's already night time, I think it would logical if Crimson would be awake now, right? So I made my way towards her room, I was about to knock when…
"D-did, she, I mean Crimson, like magically healed her wounds like last time?" I recognized the voice to be Nanaba's.
What the actual fuck is the brat talking about? With me getting curious, I quietly got near the door and stick my ear to listen.
"Well, I guess no, because if she did, the news would have spread now to the higher ups, and they'll be here in no time to take custody of a "suspicious" person, which is Crimson." That was Hanji.
Just what the heck are they saying? Crimson? Crimson healing her own wounds? Like really, is she a Titan? I know she rampaged like a monster 3 years ago, but no, she can't be like Eren, she can't be a Titan Shifter. Really, it doesn't make any sense.
I can't take this anymore, I can't stay silent and be an ignorant. So as humanity's strongest, I kicked the door open.
"L-Levi! Could you p-please be don't so loud! Y-You see, Crimson's trying to rest and-" Hanji said waving her arms in the air in a half whisper, but I stopped her before she could rant about my rough actions.
"Now tell me, what the actual fuck I've heard just now." I settle to a seat across the trembling Nanaba beside Crimson, and he's holding her hand. What is he? Crimson's boyfriend? TSK.
"Just what exactly have you heard from-"
"That Crimson can possibly heal her own wounds." I cut her off once again.
I can see, even though the dim light of the candles, they're sweating bullets like crazy. I let out a long sigh and decided to bring out something that is supposedly Crimson's. "Take a look at his, shitty glasses." I threw at her the scroll Arlert asked me to give to Crimson. Hanji looked at me, her eyes reflecting excitement upon the being curious at the object. "Come on, open it." And she did…
Her eyes widened like saucers and she spoke, stuttering. "L-Levi, would you l-like to tell me where you got this?"
"Cadet Arlert asked me to give that back to Crimson, he said it fell from Crimson's grasp when she saved the boy."
"L-Levi, t-this is from the long lost city of the Gods!"
I quirked a brow at her and signalled for her to continue my snapping my fingers. "As you can see, the Gods the people worship, Maria, Rose and Sina, are from these long lost civilization of Greece."
(A/N: I just made that up for the purpose of this story)
"But a long war caused too much destruction and that civilization eventually came to an end leaving a few more survivors to live. It is also said that the survivors are cursed to live in misery…"
"And those people were the first ones to encounter Titans and also the ones to build the walls, right? So what's the point of all this historical flashback?" Damn, she's making things long.
"These kind of thing is actually not open to be in possession of ordinary people, infact you could be immediately killed when you're known having this." Hanji's face paled, her jaw clenched as she tried to talk as calm as possible. "And actually, the exact reason is yet unknown."
I pondered for a moment of the next thing to say. "Should we hide it from her?"
"NO! DON'T YOU ALL FUCKING DARE!" When I looked at where the shout came, Crimson was now trying to sit up with Nanaba's help.
- Crimson POV -
Hanji and Nanaba were talking about my "supernatural" regeneration and I was here listening, pretending I was asleep.
I know I from the very start, 3 years ago, when Sean died, that I am really not an average human being. But until now, I really don't know what I am. Yes, I've met weird people like those Ares, Athena and Hermes. I've used two wielded giants sword to fight the female Titan. I've grown my amputated arm and leg, and I've mysteriously healed myself in an unnaturally fast pace.
But still, I don't know what I am.
The door was kicked open, if what my ears heard was right. The person seated near my bed, probably across Nanaba who's holding my hand. I was still a bit light headed you I am hearing things by pieces.
"Cadet Arlert asked me to give that back to Crimson, he said it fell from Crimson's grasp when she saved the boy." Owh fuck, the scroll!
"L-Levi, t-this is from the long lost city of the Gods! As you can see, the Gods the people worship, Maria, Rose and Sina, are from these long lost civilization of Greece." Is that even true? The Greek civilization and the Gods I mean. Well, fuck, I've seen enough weird stuff so somehow I'll give thing to be atleast 40% truth.
"These kind of thing is actually not open to be in possession of ordinary people, in fact you could be immediately killed when you're known having this. Actually, the exact reason is yet unknown." Oi wait, what? So having information or having anything related to that civilization you would be condemned as a traitor against humanity? Really, just what the heck?
"Should we hide it from her?" And that was made me decide to stand up for my own.
"NO! DON'T YOU ALL FUCKING DARE!" Like really, they're planning to hide it from me?
I looked at each of their faces, Hanji and Nanaba are sweating bullets of sweat, while the Squint, still has that annoying poker face, but I know he's also startled with all the revelations, the four of us in this room perhaps.
"C-Crimson! Don't move too much yet!" Hanji rushed towards me as she also helped me sit up.
"Talking about that scroll? And me? My supernatural abilities?"
"Well if you're pretending to be asleep all this time, you should know the answer to that question." Said the squint.
"Ugh, it can't be helped." I stand up, by my own, which I was surprised myself as well as I don't feel any pain on my ankle. "Let me all show you something to ponder about."
I pulled out the necklace at my neck with two swords crossed together. I clasped it with my hands and thought of doing it, to take out those swords. And thank goodness that blue and red light once again appeared.
My red gem necklace was floating in the air as well.
When I opened my eyes, I saw the two gigantic swords, the red blazing one on my right, and the blue cool looking one on my left. Gentle winds swaying inside the room, I am glad, the windows are closed or else we might be caught.
And once again, I felt that warm, tingling feeling, yeah, my wounds are once again healing rapidly. "So you see. This is the first part of my revelation for tonight."
"Where the fuck did that came from?" Levi asked, with such monotone voice, but with that additional crease in his face, I know his defences are up and he is nervous about me bringing out these gigantic weapons of mine.
"If I say two being named Athena and Ares game me these would you believe me? Or a beautiful man named Hermes gave me the scroll?" I asked them, expecting that they won't believe and consider me as a crazy person or might be just I hit my head hard. "Owh yes, you won't. Well, let's try something else…" Looking around the room, I found another unlit candle.
"Nanaba, would you be so kind and light that candle for me, then place it in that table?" I pointed at the table 5ft away from everyone.
"Ahhh! Yes, wait a minute!" Nanaba scrambled to assemble everything I've asked. "There all set! Uhmm… What are you planning to do Crimson?"
"Let us just see if it'll work. Hanji, Squint, Nanaba, stay at my back, this I would do isn't a joke." Giving the three a serious stare, they all huddled behind me.
"So here goes nothing…"
This is a gamble. If I could do this, I am very hopeful that we could use my powerful somehow to defeat Titans… or if not, I think my blades would do a great job, since it can practically send indirect slashed and mince Titan meat like chicken meat. Anyways, here it goes.
Closing my eyes, I concentrated my attention on my right hand that I brought in front of me. I opened my eyes and now start to focus on getting the fire from the candle. "Move, move, MOVE!"
I was surprised myself that the fire left the candle and was now floating in the air! Honestly, this motive is just from pure assumption that I can manipulate fire, since my blades are basically using fire.
"I-Impossible! Crimson! Please let go of that fire before it harms you!" I looked back at Nanaba who is practically shaking there.
I was as well afraid, but I've seen much greater horror than a fire that I can control.
"Oi crybaby, you've done enough, just put out that fire or something." The short man said in a somehow tint of panicked voice.
But Hanji cut him off. "No! Do something more! I beg you!" Guess the urge of being a scientist is still there huh? Though I doubt what I am doing is science at all.
"Okay, I'll try." I started to walk towards the floating fire as I make it also go near me. When I was just feet away from it, I put my palm under it and I clamped it with both of my hands. "Hanji?"
"Crimson?" There again was Hanji's childish face.
"Happy New Year." I unclamped my palms and unharmful little sparkles goes everywhere around the room. Like a harmless firework.
Hanji might be screaming right now so loud that other soldier burst inside the infirmary, thank goodness the sparkles are all extinguished and if ever the other cadets know of this, I don't know what would happen.
Tomorrow, I'll gather my squad, Levi, Erwin, Mike and other trusted men in a meeting and hoping they would believe me and not push me away, like a monster…
