I stared at the page.

No, no. This can't be happening.

I grabbed my cell phone. Ignoring the fact that it's midnight, I called Trish.

"WHAT?!" she barked.

"Trish, this is important!"

"It's midnight. Nothing can be that important," she mumbled in reply.

"Ally's moving to Montana."

"…Wh-what?" she asked, suddenly a lot less exhausted sounding.

"She-she told me in the letter I mentioned…"

"…Why wouldn't she… you know what, meet me outside your house. I'll be there in a second."

I hung up and stretched. Trish lived thirty minutes away, I had plenty of time.

"AUSTIN!"

Or not.

I quickly (and quietly) opened the door.

"Why wouldn't Ally tell us?" Trish asked after we sat down on the bench outside. "I mean, she wrote that note while she was on tour. They've been planning to leave since… since almost a year ago."

"Well, we haven't really seen her since she got back," I pointed out.

"Do you think Jake and Dez know?" Trish said, emphasizing Jake and Dez in a pretty hurtful tone.

"I don't know…" I sighed. "I'm going to get some rest… we can talk to her tomorrow," I then added. Trish nodded, stretched, and got back into her car.

The next day I met Trish at Shredder's Beach Club. She had gotten fired while Ally was on tour, but there was some new manager that agreed to hire her back. Apparently this manager was pretty nice.

"So..." I said awkwardly. Trish had been staring at me since she arrived, and hadn't said a word. She continued to just stare. "Trish?" I asked, getting slightly annoyed. I waved my hand in front of her face. A loud snore was my response.

She was asleep sitting up.

"TRISH!" I screamed in her ear.

"What would you like to drink?" Trish said in a panic as she woke up. I facepalmed. "Oh, sorry Austin... I'm not used to getting up this early."

I glanced at my watch. "It's 11:30."

"I know right? It's so early..." she said and rubbed her eyes.

At that point our waitress (a girl named Gwyneth. She seemed to know Trish pretty well.) came to get our orders. After we ordered, we got to talking about Ally.

Before going to sleep the previous night, Trish had called Dez. They had had a mutual crush on each other since sometime before Ally and I first started dating, but they never really acknowledged it. Ally and Kira even tried playing matchmaker in the same way Kira and Trish had for us. It failed, though- they never seemed to notice.

Anyway, Dez had actually answered, and after Trish asked him, responded that he had no idea she was moving either. Which was weird. You'd think she would tell her manager.

"OH AUSTIE, IT IS YOU!" My thoughts were interrupted when I heard that scream.

I immediately knew who it was.

Sorry that this chapter is so short. I ran out of time.

EDIT: Yaaaay I added more to the very short chapter! :D
