I can't stop thinking of you

I can't stop thinking about him. James potter. I know its crazy that me, lily Evans, wants James to ask me out, but just my luck he's stopped asking me out. Every time he walks past me or into a room i stop what I'm doing just to stare at him but he ignores me. I think he's moved on, so I'm going to talk to Sirius to see what I've done.

"oi Sirius go come here" I yelled when I saw him

"sure lily flower, let's go in here its more private" he said pointing at a broom cupboard

"Sirius what have I done to upset James?" I asked straight away

"nothing lily you know he still loves you he just wants to back off a bit since you and Snivellus fell out because he thinks it's his fault that you and him fell out but me Remus and peter are trying to tell him it wasn't but you know James he blames himself for everything" he explained

"What can I do to stop him thinking that?"

"Tell him it's the only way lily he really misses looking at you, you should hear him in the dorm, he just goes on and on about you! Is there anything else you wanted to ask me?"

"No...Well...yes...well i don't know, well I think I love James's finished quickly

Sirius stayed quiet for quite a while then said "lily it's obvious you do you keep staring, even James can feel you burning holes through his head, but he thinks it's because your angry at him, everyone else knows it's 'cuz you love him"

"Wait everyone knows"

"Well all of Gryffindor 6th year do minus you and james"

"I'm gonna ask him out at dinner!"

"You go lily flower! You know he's gonna faint when you ask him"

"Yep! Come on we've got charms next"

I can't stop thinking about dinner I can't wait to see his expression. I hope he will say yes,, but he might not I mean I've been saying no for 4 years maybe he doesn't love me anymore and Sirius was just making it up to make me feel better. Oh no what did professor Flitwick just say? Oh well right lets concentrate lily... oh I just can't! I'll ask Sirius to take notes for me

"James can I speak to you?"

"Sure lily what is this about, you aren't going to yell at me are you?" asked James warily

"No I'm not I wanted to ask you something"

"Ok what is it...?"

"James, willyougooutwithme?"

"Sorry I didn't catch that"

"I said, will you go out with me?"

James stayed silent for at least 5 minutes before fainting.

"JAMES! Are you ok?"

He leaned towards me and kissed me straight on the lips

"i take that as a yes" I said before he picked me up and carried me into the great hall with most of the hall clapping and cheering. James then sat me down next to him and Sirius with Remus and peter in front when all three of them said at the same time "about time!"

"I take it you want to go to hogsmeade with me!" James said before kissing me.
