I hope you like it! This one was supposed to come out 2 weeks ago, so sorry. This week's should be out in a few hours... anyway, ENJOY!
dISCLAIMER: i DON'T OWN kHR.
The welcoming ceremony went off without too many problems. Reborn had watching from his little dark corners-unsurprisingly. Ieyasu, and Tsuna too-surprisingly-, attracted a lot of attention, as did Yamamoto. Gokudera hasn't transferred yet, but Tsuna expected to see him within the next month. Reborn was very efficient in all worlds. Things went according to plan on a frightening level.
Yamamoto continued to glance his ways every five minutes or so. It drove a maddening curiosity. Had his rain guardian been revived? Had this been what Giotto promised? Or was this just a torturous folly, in which Yamamoto recalled bits and pieces, like that he had been the one to cause his death. Taking a deep breath, Tsuna refocused on stage. Hibari had just entered stage, so the entire gym was hushed in an unnerving silence. Hibari commanded a room like no other, even in other parallels.
"Namimori-chuu is under my protection," he started, gazing over the new faces in the spacious area. He seemingly held his eyes on one Sawada Tsunayoshi, but the brunette wished, prayed to God, he hadn't caught his attention. He had been there yesterday, the day he switched over. Or maybe it was suspicion. He couldn't take guardians' deaths, how was he expected to take their distrust? Hoping he would continue, Tsuna shut his eyes, forcing out the memories and current location. All he wanted was to calm down. In his own body, the boss could easily look out the window and calm any storm, rain, or thunder inside. There weren't any windows, though, and he wasn't in his own body.
Luckily, the prefect just as quickly moved on, speaking in his harsh monotone, "You break the rules, you break the law, I break your bones. This is your first, last, only warning. Welcome to Namimori." Having concluded, he walked off stage, gakuran flowing regally, and out of the gym. Tsuna wouldn't have been surprised if the reason was crowding. The raven would most likely be heading to the disciplinary office, or perhaps the roof.
That would be a pretty good place to get a breather.
With that, the principle wrapped the ceremony up, excusing the freshman to return to their homerooms. Tsuna high tailed it, dragging along his brother. With his small body, he easily maneuvered through the crowd, a skill taught to him by Reborn. Tsuna supposed he was going to be the one to teach it to Ieyasu, who bumped into every other person. Seeing how it might be bad if he was too graceful, Tsuna allowed for the occasional elbow in the shoulder, stumble of his shoes, and the pushing of a particularly large freshman boy.
Ieyasu, concerned for his brother, pulled him back. Reluctant at the decreased pace, Tsuna saw that he had to consider his brother just as much, and apologized, saying he was getting a bit too claustrophobic. Ieyasu, being the nice and helpful younger brother, understood completely, walking faster. Tsuna smiled in gratitude. Honestly, he needed out of that room.
Upon exiting, he sighed in relief. Glancing around, he spotted Yamamoto just emerging. A nostalgic smile painted his features, but sadness obviously leaked, as Ieyasu tapped his shoulder. In his adorable semi-stoic disposition, the younger brother wordlessly asked if he was alright. Tsuna nodded, brightening up for the sake of his new brother. This for his famiglia, even in other worlds.
They walked, Tsuna making idle chatter about how he was nervous, and admired Ieyasu's charismatic aura. The blonde blushed, barely keeping up conversation. He also praised him, for his easygoing air. It was comfortable for even himself to speak with him. Tsuna chuckled, shaking his head in disagreement. "I just really like talking with you," he explained cheerfully. At this, Ieyasu blushed crimson, anxiously looking down at his feet as Tsuna continued to pull him along by the hand to their homeroom.
Soon enough, they arrived at 1-C. "Well, Ieyasu?" Tsuna offered, holding open the door for him with a warm smile. Pouting, Ieyasu hesitantly entered, followed by Tsuna. The older took his seat, giving a small wave bye. The blonde seated himself with a bit of disappointment, looking at his hands.
As he sat down, Tsuna only then realized the magnitude of how much he hurt. Those bumps affected him more than he would have liked. His bruises were sore, and the first class hadn't even started. Mentally groaning, he opened his bag, searching for his books. However, as he pawed through the various notebooks he couldn't find his English textbook. Panic crept through his system, but years of experience kept it at bay. He was about to stand and go to the lost and found, when a hand offered the exact book he was looking for.
Looking up, Tsuna found it to be the same person that had been driving him crazy for the first hours of his middle school career. "Um…" Yamamoto mumbled, unsure of what to say. "I found it this morning, and it had your name in it. When I learned it was yours, I got really nervous for no reason. Kinda lame, huh? It's never really happened to me, but I knew I had to give it to you now of never. Sorry if I kind of creeped out earlier," he babbled, getting stiffer every second Tsuna stared blankly at him.
Suddenly, the brunette started chuckling, quickly turning into a cheerful laugh. Not many students were back in the classroom, but the ones that were all stared at the small brunatte-including hiss brother and tutor. "Don't worry about it, Yamamoto. Thank you very much for giving it back," he said, grasping the thin book. Brightening up immediately, Yamamoto returned to his seat, smiling at Tsuna, before reviewing his worries with his closer friends that gathered around his desk. Tsuna marveled at how Yamamoto always seemed to be where people flocked to. Unfortunately, it also meant how shallow the normal human was.
Still, even though he know knew why Yamamoto was so nervous, why did he feel so… sad about it? Wasn't it a good thing that it was only a misunderstanding? Tightening his hold on the book, Tsuna looked up as another teacher walked in, starting class as soon as the rest of the students had funneled through those sliding doors.
Reborn narrowed his eyes. Tsuna was much less shy than the report made him out to be. He seemed a little clumsy, but not like Dino. At the thought of that idiot pupil, Reborn shook his head. Even after so thoroughly drilling it into that moron's brain, he still tripped, and was still a moron. He had only tried because it had been asked of him, to make the idiot a little less of an idiot. However, that was incurable, even in death.
He should have known, ghosts always try to haunt him even after he's killed them once.
Jumping from the branch next to the 1-C window, he landed on the roof. There he knew Hibari Kyoya lurked. It appeared he liked staring at the sky, all of them. Reborn considered it extremely lucky there were so many quality guardians just laying around. Yamamoto Takeshi, in their class, Hibari Kyoya, D.C. head, and Sasagawa Ryohei, Boxing club president. He still needed lightning, storm, and mist, but he had some in mind that would work well with Ieyasu.
Hibari had been sharper than he had thought. For some reason, he paid closer attention to Tsuna, though. Yeah, he wasn't acting completely to the report, but it wasn't really surprising. He was still kind of airheaded, clumsy, and had a caring personality.
Still, Reborn'd have make sure Ieyasu's future cloud didn't contract any severe grudge against his brother. But first, the raven smirked, he had to introduce him to the dying will bullet. He was curious to whom he loved more, Kyoko or Tsuna. The hitman was betting Tsuna, but to spare the boy of an early retirement from school (he wasn't mean enough to make him confess to his brother on the second day, there had to be at least half of the guardian positions secured to get a good enough response), he'd just make him regret not confessing to Kyoko. He left many people with regrets, so it wouldn't be hard (even though their constant haunting was annoying).
Sensing Hibari wake, Reborn escaped through one of his many secret tunnels he had installed ahead of time. It was best that way.
Groaning, Tsuna rested his head on his desk, protectively guarding his homemade bento. Math was finally over, and he could eat. Nezu-sensei was as much, no, even more of a pain than he remembered, calling on him every other problem. For the sake of appearances, half the time he didn't answer right, a quarter he didn't respond, and a quarter he got right. Although this was only out of the 12 problems he was asked to solve.
"Hey, Tsuna-nii," called Ieyasu, patting him on the back supportively. Small tears of frustration formed, as he pouted defiantly, forcing them back. The blonde inwardly cooed at the adorableness. Tsuna was dying of hunger, and his current body was much too delicate, not to mention fragile (crying too effortlessly).
Ieyasu stole a seat, having the chair branch out form Tsuna's right. He set his own blue bento next to Tsuna's orange. For some reason, orange always was Tsuna's favorite color, in both worlds. Tiredly, the brunette untied the knot his mother had fastened, thanking the heaven for such a Godly meal. Picking up his chosticks, he dramatically picked up and held a single meatball, observing the pure perfection of it, before popping right into his mouth. Slowly, he chewed, savoring the flavor. Contentedly, he swallowed. Ieyasu chuckled at his exaggeration. "You always have mom's food," he reasoned. "Yeah, but middle school is way more tiresome," Tsuna argued.
After that, acting as a symbol of how much he truly loved his mother's cooking, he ate at a matched pace to Ieyasu. They finished their meals in 10 minutes, and Tsuna remembered the roof.
"Ieyasu, I'm going up to the roof for some fresh air," he said, standing. "Tsuna-nii!" he exclaimed, slamming his hands on the table. Pink dusting his cheeks for the sudden attention they attracted, Ieyasu reminded him that was where Hibari Kyoya, who promised to break you if you broke school rules. "But I won't be breaking any rules," Tsuna persisted, pouting, but his younger brother was adamant. "Going up to the roof is against the rules."
"No it's not. Why else would Hibari-san do it?" he replied with a mischievous smile. Ieyasu sighed, shaking his head. Grinning cheekily, Tsuna hurried out of the classroom before his younger twin could realize, skipping his way to the eastern staircase.
Well, he definitely should have listened to Ieyasu.
There, in front of him, was newly awoken Hibari Kyoya. That was like bloody murder on a platter. He should have remembered his horribly luck. He knew he wasn't going to die, or else his Hyper Intuition would have made a fuss. He stepped back, holding his arms out in admittance he had no intention to fight, nor hidden weapons.
He didn't dare speak. Hibari had this annoying habit of getting even angrier at excuses. All he had to do was make the quickest exit his legs could make. In his current condition, that wasn't much, but what else was he to do?
Smiling to show his harmlessness, Tsuna was practically touching the door, when Hibari lept into action. Yelping, Tsuna turned the door handle, cursing at the auto lock. Seeing Hibari almost upon him, he jumped out of danger, rolling away from the tonfa that dented a 5 inch steel door. He figured another shriek, or fainting, should be in order, and he did feel faint, but all Tsuna really did do was sigh. How was he not surprised. In fact, he may have been disappointed if he hadn't sniffed something strange.
Getting in a defensive position, Tsuna spoke. "Hibari-san, I'm sorry, but I won't be able to give you a good fight. It'd be best if I left," he suggested, since there was no way in hell the current violent, adolescent, reckless teenager in front of him was going to follow any orders not written down in the Namimori handbook.
The raven narrowed his eyes, letting the tonfa drop to his sides. Tsuna didn't relax, but also dropped his arms. Seeing amusement in those steely eyes, the brunette inwardly swore. Well, he wouldn't be Hibari Kyoya if you didn't get a few bruises from him.
He threw the left tonfa right at his face, Tsuna quickly ducking, rising perfectly to miss the kick meant for his face. Instead, he hopped off Hibari's black mop, noting it's silkiness, and landed behind him. Having only used his fingertips, Tsuna reasoned that was why Hibari didn't seem any angrier. Turning around around with an aggressive smirk, Hibari took a threatening stance with only one tonga. Gulping, Tsuna mentally prepared himself.
He dodged the next few blows, hopping, and ducking, but his body wasn't capable of prolonged battle yet. Obviously the other noticed when he nicked the brunette's arm. Quickly coming up with a plan, Tsuna steadied himself only a meter away from the skylark. Narrowing grey eyes, Hibari threw a finishing, swift blow to the head with his right tonfa. With a burst of energizing flames, Tsuna glided around the outstretched arm, even though the friction rubbed painfully against his bruises, and kneed the raven in the gut his his right leg.
Unsurprisingly, Hibari didn't fall, only chuckling lightly. "Sorry, I underestimated the wisdom of herbivores," he said, dusting himself off. Calmly, he collected his weapon as Tsuna composed his breathing. Fighting Hibari was always a work out. Thinking that was the end of this unfortunate encounter, Tsuna was about to try and lockpick the door-having the knowledge is good enough, right?-when the raven was suddenly bared a tonfa to his neck. "Um, Hibari-san?" he asked cautiously, as if he were to spook a wolf. He smirked in response.
"I know, so you're coming to me," he responded, not allowing for any questions or elaboration.
Tsuna found so many bubbling to the surface of his brain, especially as the raven picked him up and carried him to this office. On the way there, he decided that Hibari figured out he had wounds from his movements, and wouldn't allow him to leave unless he could successfully sneak away from him, or kill him. And he even went to the lengths of bringing him to his lair for extra protection. Sighing, Tsuna hid his face in the ravens shoulder, unconsciously breathing in his calming scent of sunshine and jasmine.
He swore he saw HIbari smile, but he was half asleep, so the brunette was sure it was his imagination.
By the time they arrived at the reception room, Tsuna had been lulled to sleep. Hibari's D.C. were busy monitoring the new students, so Hibari decided to continued his nap with the herbivore. With the small brunette still in his arms, the raven laid down on the couch, and repositioned the herbivore to be more comfortable. He had been shocked at how light he was. The herbivore must've been in worse condition than he'd originally thought.
He had seen his resolve at the river, and the blow he dealt him, in his wounded condition, had impressive execution, not to mention how well he managed to keep up with him for those few minutes. Smirking, he wrapping his arms around the other, the trip to his office as a token of apology for fighting him, despite knowing his condition. It was a cold April day anyway, and the warmth of a hiberivore went a long way.
I hope you liked. This seemed sort of rushed to me. Tell if it's okay. Also, after this chapter, I really want 1827. Yeah, I think I just decided the pairing. But please, REVIEW!
