-"Yo Princess Rosalie-sama~
-"Hurry up! We don't have all day!" The twins yelled from a distance. I frowned and ignored their callings, trying to concentrate on closing my luggage. Another two weeks had passed, and my stay at the Ootori mansion had finally ended. Not to be mean, or anything but I can't remember another time in my life where I have felt so relieved. After the kidnapping incident Kyoya had become too, uh close for my liking. Don't get me wrong, we became better friends, but I think he might have a different perspective to our friendship than I do.
-" We're gonna leave without you!" The Hitachiin brothers exclaimed once again.
-"Hold on! I'm trying as hard I can!" I replied while body slamming against my bag.
-" Let's not do that, Tenorio-chan." A voice mocked, my stomach turning when hearing the word 'Tenorio-chan'.
-"Kyoya, I've told you that I don't like you calling me that." I said as sweetly as I could.
-"Well since you call me by my first name, I have the right to use friend-like suffixes." He replied, while pushing up his glasses and walking towards me. He then began to push my luggage down and tried to zip it up.
-"You're not gonna be able to-
ZIIIIP.
-"Oh." While managing a smile, I bowed and thanked him. -" See you later at school, Kyoya." The Ootori boy nodded with a smirk sliding across his face.
-"You best be going, the twins won't last much longer... Tenorio-chan." With a sly look on his face, he opened the door for me while I showed him my face full of vexation. As I strolled outside I waved to the twins and glanced backed quickly to see if Fuyumi could see me from her window. She'd been such a wonderful host I almost felt bad for leaving, so I waved back at her with a sincere smile and made my way to the Hitachiin car. Instantly both my arms were taken hold of my arms and I was lifted towards the car, I of course, just sighed and let it happen. Typical twins.
-"Gasp! Is she sighing?
-"But she always giggles when we pick her up!" Hikaru and Kaoru both exclaimed indignantly. Turning around to face each one of them, I stuck my tongue out with a small grin. These two weeks were going to be the most fun filled' I thought to myself as I made my way to the Hitachiin mansion.
-"And this! Is your room, Rosalie-kun!" The twins jumped in front of a purple doorway with two doors and a slick smile on their faces. –"We designed it ourselves, except if you don't like it... well it was our mom who made it!" Chuckling they threw the doors open and a small gust of wind came along with it, pulling me inwards. I promptly placed my hands over my mouth so a titter wouldn't escape; it was the most ridiculous room I had ever seen. But oddly enough it all didn't seem out of place, not even the small Usa-chan's and Beary's hanging on the chandelier. Walking inside I glimpsed at the walls, the one over my bed had the Mexican flag while the rest were either purple or a scenery of a grassy field filled with flowers. Except for one chalkboard looking black wall near an artist-like desk, I walked over to touch it and to my surprise it was made of chalkboard material and right next to my foot was a huge pack of different colored chalks.
-"That's so you can at least decorate one wall, since your artistic and all." Kaoru commented, interrupting my thoughts but clarifying my doubts. I turned to him nodding but probably with a mesmerized face mixed in with a smile. Beaming with curiosity and joy I turned to the rest of the room seeing that I also had a balcony to the center right. Outside on the balcony it had a small table and a chair, just what I might need for relaxing. Returning inside the first thing I saw was that on the west part of my bedroom there was a whole wall dedicated to Host club pictures, which somehow were mostly the twins and snapshots of me near the rest of the other host club members. I couldn't hold it any longer, I began to snort and cackle at the same time. This came from holding my laughter in for too long, which caused two faces to look at me in disgust and curiosity.
-"I love this guys! I really do, and thank your mom also because I know she must've helped a lot." I turned and thanked beaming with a grin, which caused both twins to snicker. They suddenly glimpsed at each other and ran up to me running around my person in circles. When they finally stopped, with a mischievous grin they once again picked me up and translated me to a balcony that was near the dining area. As we entered the long balcony, there was a beautiful woman with short but curly orange hair and well-kept but up to fashion outfit, leisurely drinking her tea.
-"Someone came to say thank you." The bothers interrupted, she then turned around with a pleasant smile and nodded. Gulping I said,
-"I very much so, a lot, like the room you designed." The lady all but chuckled and stood from her seat.
-"I'm Yahuza Hitachiin; it's a pleasure to meet you! My two sons here, whom I still can't tell apart, have told me stories about you. They are quite fond of you! I wouldn't see who wouldn't? You're precious and sweet, darling! My, I think I want you to try some of my dresses… yes that would look wonderful on you. Oh! And make up, yes, make up will make any man in front of you bow down in awe." Suddenly the introduction had gone to a conversation that quickly became one sided. Yahuza began to rant to herself and while brainstorming, I took a quick glance at the twins who; found this perfectly normal. They just shrugged back and kept on listening to their mother.
-"You know mom; the Host Club is going to have a Ball real soon." Hikaru began,
-"Why not wait a couple of days to dress her up?" Kaoru finished. Mrs. Hitachiin stopped dead on her tracks and began to beam.
-"Oh yes! And I'll even pick out your tuxes too!" She exclaimed as she ran over to hug her 'darling' children. With a small kiss on the forehead she said each of their names, but wrong.
-"I'm Hikaru, mom." One complained.
-"And I'm Kaoru". The other corrected, but strangely enough they seemed fine with it. And since they had just said their names, it seemed fit that I say mine as well.
-"I'm Rosalie Tenorio! ... wait, no. Tenorio Rosalie, yes that's it. Man, Ritsu is always correcting me but I still forget."
-"It's alright Tenorio-chan; you're new to the country it'll come one to you of these days." Yahuza encouraged.-"Now, who is up for some tea and small talk?"
-"Pssst, Teno-chan! Do you have the latest scoop on what the Host Club might plan?" One of our frequent costumers asked as I poured her some fresh; homemade mango lemonade. Smiling I replied,
-"I can't tell you everything, Yumi-chan. First off it would ruin the surprise and secondly, Kyoya over there might kill me." With all sincerity, I explained while catching a small glimpse of the Ootori boy. He, as always, was writing who knows what in that binder of his. Sighing I turned and attended other female costumers; thinking how he hadn't even vocalized any rhetorical question or a sarcastic comment towards me yet. Shrugging it off, I began to converse with one of our temporary male costumers. Tamaki had decided that for an hour some guys could come socialize with either the Hosts to get tips about girls, the female customers, or simply have small talk with me. To me, this was my favorite hour of the day since all the guys gawked at every single breathing thing in the Host Club, even their fellow peers. I found it adorable and hilarious.
-"Rosa-chan, is it time for cake yet?" Honey-sempai inquired with his oh so sweet voice. Shaking my head, I patted his head and continued to serve some more mango lemonade.
-"Hey, did you make this?" Kazukiyo Sōga, the president of class 1-A, examined in admiration. Nodding with a smile, I tapped on the glass phial.
-"Yep! My mother's and grandma's secret recipe." A few moments later the door creaked open and harsh stomping was heard throughout the room. Without seeing who it was, I quickly tried to finish serving the remaining male guests so I could take care of the new comer. But as soon as I had finished, I turned around to hit a hard, broad shoulder. I didn't need to lift my face to see who it was; I had bumped into this person quite enough just to know whose shoulders it was.
-"Sorry Ritsu…." I apologized as I backed away, blushing away.
-"I should get paid a yen every time you bump into me, I might be rich in a few months." He voiced, while brushing off his uniform and plopping himself unto the couch.
-"You look a bit tired, why don't I get you some tea instead? I made it myself." I offered sweetly in my Host Club maid voice. Ritsu didn't say anything, and for a moment he just looked a bit flustered. He then turned to his left and nodded his head.
-"Kay! Be right back."
I ran off, a bit happy since Ritsu had decided to come visit me at work. It felt like our friendship had become even stronger after the yakuza incident, but not just with him, but with everybody at the school.
-"Well, here we are! One cup of mixed tea. It's a different blend each time… so I can't guarantee the taste." I warned teasingly whilst I poured it and placed a small pastry next to his cup. After a smile with a bow, I turned around and walked a few steps just to find Kyoya scoffing at me.
-"Yes?" I voiced annoyingly.
-"Such informality should not be seen in the Host Club, Tenorio-chan."
-"Exactly. So stop calling me by that Kyo- … Kyoya-sempai." I struggled not to say his name normally.
-"Humph. At any rate, we need you to stop dawdling and to start working on ideas for the next Host Club event." Kyoya pushed up his glasses, causing that stupid glare he always does to intimidate people.
-"At any rate," I mimicked, "You're the one responsible for those things, not me. I only serve and entertain." As I responded I motioned to my tea kettle.
-"Tenorio-kohai, I-
PLING PLING PLING
A tapping on glass with a spoon was heard.
-"I have a very important announcement," Tamaki began to say, "This Friday; the Host Club will arrange a Fall Dance. We would love that all of you wonderful people would grace us with your presence! Each one of our customers will receive an invitation that will have an invite for two. We do not discourage couples, in fact! We encourage for all of you to find a date to the dance. And now since we put that out there, the Host Club members may go with a date." Obviously there was uproar in the room. And obviously Kyoya sighed next to me while rubbing his temples.
-m"On that note, please do not make us your first choice. We ask that you first look, very hard, for a date out of the Host Club. And only if the Host Club member wishes to attend with you, that member may be your date for the night. But please give other young men the chance; I am sure they would love for lovely girls such as you to ask them." Kyoya added with a fake smile. Some girls looked down in dismay but didn't seem too depressed, either way they were going to see the Host Club in tuxes so no loss was made there. After that, the murmuring and excitement went a little bit over hand. Especially when Renge decided to tell other girls about her delusional scenes.
-"You think a Host Club member might ask us?" A girl whispered, Renge shook her head. -"Probably not, they wouldn't want girls ganging up on that particular student. I mean jealousy is a very nasty thing." She said all knowingly with a nod of her head.-"….. But maybe Rosalie-chan might have the biggest chance out of all of us. Since she works here AND has been living with some of the Host Club fellows, who knows who has a crush on her." She whispered slyly.
-"I'm sure you're just making that up, Renge-chan." I nudged her gently, making her jump and apologize. With a wink and a smile; I began to converse "girly" matters. We discussed about attire at first but it quickly became a conversation about food.
-"I think they should have fancy tuna, I mean, Haruhi hasn't had any before." One of the girls commented.
-"I don't think Haruhi is the only one that hasn't tried fancy tuna before" The twins jumped out of the blue, obviously referring to me. They both eyed me with such mockery I had to smack the back of their heads.
-"It's not like Haruhi and I are missing out on much." I replied with a pout.
Almost immediately the swarms of pitiful comments aroused.
-"Oh, dear! Poor commoners." One wailed.
-"She doesn't know what true cuisine must taste like!"
-"Gasp! Rosalie-chan, you don't know the difference between Angus and Sirloin steak, do you?"
I couldn't help it, I began to blush feeling a bit inferior and ashamed of my ignorance to these foods. So I just stood there, not knowing how to respond or act, letting them continue their comments about my "pitiful background" and "sorry childhood". Having my head hang low, I knew in the bottom of my heart that they meant well, but I still was getting irritated.
-"Guys leave her alone, it's not as bad as you think," Haruhi stepped in -" You can't really miss something that you've never had." She quoted. My head jolted up and looked at her in surprise.
-"Wha- … How?" I couldn't speak right.
-"I heard you and Kyoya-sempai talking once, and that just stuck to me for some reason." She answered with her index finger placed under her chin while her head was tilted; having an expression of pondering. I am sure my blush grew by the second, thinking back to the question that Kyoya had made a month ago. I'm not sure why it affected me more than it had back then; I just had brushed it off. But now the memory brought some odd feelings.
-"Well, I gotta go attend other customers… talk to you guys later." I managed a small smile while walking in a daze.
-"Hey, Tenorio-san?" Ritsu voiced me over.
-"You know you can call me by my first name, right? I mean, I use yours." I suggested, while I sat next to him letting out a sigh. I then proceeded to stretch and pop my back. -"So how's Tetsuya-san doing?"
-"He's fine…"
-"What about the rest of your crew?"
-"They're good… yeah."
-"Um, Ritsu?"
-"I don't know how to dance." He randomly blurted out. In response I just stared while trying not to laugh.
-"O-Okay, so what do you want to do about that? Pfft."
-"What's so funny?" He demanded with his menacing yakuza voice.
-"Nothing, nothing." I swatted my hand in the air. -'You want me to teach you? To dance, I mean."
-"I will show this young man the beauty of the art of moving your feet and body to the music!" Tamaki suddenly bursted from behind the couch with a huge grin on his face.-"In fact! Tomorrow we will have a pre-dance lesson! So that if any person is afraid of their dance skills, they may learn and go to the Fall Dance." He announced. I took a quick glance at Ritsu and he seemed a bit embarrassed.
-"Don't worry, I bet he's a great teacher. Probably better than I am, I probably would've shown you the girl's steps, Haha." I encouraged while whispering. But I don't think that really assured poor Ritsu.
The rest of the week was full of gossiping, depressed girls and boys, over-excited girls and boys, me working overtime, having a blast at the Hitachiin mansion, making friends with Yahuza Hitachiin and Kyoya scoffing at me. Oh and lets not forget the cute dance sessions Tamaki gave every day, but I didn't dare partake of them. I guess dancing in public isn't a thing of mine, but I made sure I practiced in private just in case the twins felt like making me dance. And now today was Friday afternoon and the Host club had an hour before closing. I was out placing the decorations on the outside of the ballroom of the school, decorations like lights or Chinese lanterns. There was the occasional curtain tent that was made of light pink silk lined with golden ribbon.
-"Gah, now I gotta do the water fountain." I muttered under my breath not wanting to get wet.-"Whatever, I'm sure it'll look beautiful with the lights." I tried to cheer myself up as I walked up to the fountain and started to figure out how to make the lights work. But the moment I stepped on the edge I slipped and bonked my head on the cherub's butt. I mumbled a curse and proceeded to stand up again but this time my hand slipped as I pulled myself up, causing me to land waist down in the water fountain and the other half on the concrete outside the fountain, head facing upward.
-"Curse upon your children stupid cherub fountain." I exclaimed.
-"Do you want some help, Tenorio-chan?" I heard someone ask behind me holding in a small chuckle.
-"Whoever you are… do not pity me. And if you are, screw you, I am no in the mood for apathy and sarcasm." I threw back at who I probably thought was Kyoya being a wise-guy… as always.
-"Well, screw you too Tenorio-chan." Ritsu said as he glared with animosity.
-"Oh…. It's you." I simply said back. –"Sorry, I thought you were Kyoya…" I pushed myself upwards trying not to hit any of the fountain again.
-"You sure like hitting things with your head." Ritsu commented, helping me out. I faked laughed with a hint of sarcasm but when I looked at him I giggled and said sorry. –"Decorating isn't your thing, is it?" I shook my head while brushing off dirt off my head.
-"Nah, but someone had to do it since Tamaki went over the budget again." Now I was squeezing the water out my dress. –"Can I take you up on that offer, Ritsu?" He nodded and proceeded to place the lights around the edge and on the pedestal of the cherub.
-"Won't they get wet and stop working?" He asked.
-"I thought the same thing, but apparently they are waterproof… somehow." I huffed after I stood back up from leaning down. –"There, now two more to go!" I exclaimed with a sly grin towards the Kasanoda boy. All he did was shrug and grab the lights. We repeated the process as we talked about life and school.
-"Say Ritsu?"
-"Hmm."
-"Are you going to the dance?" I asked, my voice whispering.
-"Why are you whispering? I don't think so, looks like tomorrow might be too busy for me at the syndicate." He responded not making eye-contact.
-"Oh… well at least you learned how to dance." I felt disappointed that he wasn't going to attend, but it wasn't like he was my only friend… just somehow it made me sad.
-"Careful you're gonna sli-
BONK
I hit the cherub's butt again.
-"I'm done! Curse upon your children also!" I exclaimed in full roar. Ritsu looked at me, a smile began to spread and soon enough he was full on laughing at me. I, in return, didn't feel like laughing one bit, but upon seeing him like this I chuckled. I don't think I had ever since Ritsu so happy in my life. I faked a pout and jumped off the edge. –"Whatever, I'm done here. I'm going home"' I said indignantly and walked off to quickly change and maybe find some time to talk to Ritsu again. Sprinting, I changed and yelled that I was done in the Host Club, while grabbing my backpack.
-"Hey Ritsu, I-! …. Oh." He was gone. Sighing, I walked to a bench and sat down, while wind blew in my face causing my bangs to come undone. But I didn't care; I just sat there and relaxed; thinking how the dance was going to be tomorrow night.
-"By any chance, did ya call?" A harsh, but mellow voice asked as he sat down next to me.
-"Yeah, took you long enough…" Ritsu's eyebrow went up,-" I'm joking… But, um, hey I called you for a reason." I tried not to look at him, thinking of a topic that seemed so urgent.
-"Yeah, ok. I'm listening."
-"I, uh, well you know.. that Pre-Calculus! heh, real hard, right?" All he did was nod, total fail on my part.
-"Well, now it's my turn," He said out of the blue, I nodded in approval. -"Do you have a date to the Fall Dance?" Now that was even more out of the blue. I chuckled and shook my head saying 'of course not'. Ritsu in return nodded slowly and paused for a while before opening his mouth to say something. With a quizzical look on my face, I observed. He slowly opened his mouth as he turned to face me with a earnest expression.
-"What would you say if…."
-"Yes, Ritsu?" I began to get concerned since before he could finish his sentence his face turned red. Was he choking?
-"If, erm, if …." this time I was the one who raised an eyebrow. Unexpectedly the Kasanoda boy looked firmly at me and his flushed face almost went back to normal. Maybe he's constipated, I thought to myself.
-"Rosalie, would you like to accompany me to the Fall Dance?" I didn't know whether to be more surprised that he had used my first name or that he had asked me to the dance. I thought for a moment.
-"So that means you are going to the dance?" I asked smiling, leaning towards him a bit.
-"Y-Yeah, well only if-
-"That's a brilliant idea Ritsu, now the syndicate can't keep you!" I exclaimed with a bigger smile finally seeing why he asked me.
-"That's not the only reason I wanted to ask you, it's also because I-
-"Yo! Rosalie-chan! Time to go~" The twins yelled from a distance. I yelled back in response and quickly turned to the yakuza.
-"I'll see you tomorrow night then! Thank you for thinking of a way to attend, it is the Club's and of course, my great pleasure." With a big smile and a bow I ran off to the twins car.
During the ride home the twins eyed me suspiciously and wouldn't let me have my personal space. It was until we arrived at the mansion and we were eating dinner that they spoke their minds.
-"So why were you speaking with Bossa Nova?" Kaoru asked.
-"And sitting quite closely too." Hikaru added, in return I glared and sighed.
-"Can I not speak with my friends?" I returned the question sarcastically.
-"Normal friends don't talk to each other so closely and with those kind of eyes."
-"Pfft are my eyes too insulting for you boys?" I put emphasis on the boys.
-"We are the same age as you!" They both exclaimed at the same time, I shook my index finger with a smirk.
-"I am two months older than you guys." and that's when the food started flying. Our spaghetti and meatballs soon found their way unto the walls, chairs, our clothes and the maid that had walked in to check in on the ruckus. And of course this all ended with a reprimand from the head maid and head nanny. We were then sent to our rooms to think about what we had done and no dinner since we had wasted it. But five minutes later Yahuza Hitachiin made her appearance by lifting our punishment and making us have a talk in the balcony.
-"So tell me why were you fighting." She asked calmly.
-"Rosalie-kun has a secret boyfriend and he's yakuza!" Hikaru and Kaoru jumped and pointed at me.
-"WHAT?!"
-"We saw them talking and making lovey dovey faces! AND Bossa Nova was blushing!" They then shielded theirs eyes, -"IMAGINE. Just imagine what they were doing." They wailed.
-"ARE YOU AN IDIOT." The twins stopped cold in their tracks and just stared at me wide eyed. -"First off, WHAT FACES. Secondly, have you never seen Ritsu blush? He always is… I don't know why. And thirdly, if you must know, we were talking about the dance and well, consequently, he asked if we wanted to go together to the Fall dance." And before the twins could twist my words I quickly added,-" Because he needed an excuse to leave the syndicate for the afternoon." Yahuza nodded in agreement and smirked.
-"You know what that means…." We all looked at her with curiosity.-" Ah come on." She whined thinking we'd know. -"No? Fine. It means it's shopping time!" Before I could react the horror in the twins faces told me everything I needed to know.
The following morning we all woke up earlier than usual so we could get ready. This involved dressing, which I did three times because apparently my outfits did not match, eating breakfast and climbing into the limousine. This was all because Yahuza wanted the three of us to have new outfits for the dance. We started of course in the men's department, and in we ended up going to four different stores and buying two suits from each, one for each twin. According to Mrs. Hitachiin the hard part was done, but I wasn't convinced. I knew I was next and dresses don't really take a fancy to me.
-"You sure you don't like that one?" The twins mocked as I came out with yet, another dress on.
-"Hush." Their mother advised, then gave me a uplifting smile.
I shook my head and with a puzzled look I showed them my exposed legs. -"It's too short down here." Yahuza gave me an understanding look but the twins sighed loudly with exasperation. With a pout I glared at them. -"What." I asked menacingly, but all they did was wave at the air around them.
-"Go change and I'll find you some more dresses." Mrs. Hitachiin ordered, but none of them were to my liking. So we all walked out of the fifth store we had visited, sighing. -"Well there is only one more place to go." She said, while we walked a few blocks down. -"We are going to my clothing store so we can get the whole staff to help." She exclaimed triumphantly.
So that's exactly what happened, the moment I stepped in Yahuza and her staff took me to a large room where there was a large mirror surrounded by lights. And that's when I lost control of what was happening, dress after dress was put on me until we found the one that met my needs. Not too short by the legs or chest, not too long either, also it made my pale skin look not an awkward pale. The dress was grape colored that landed all the way to the floor but I could step normally without tripping, up in the chest area it was made of a lighter tone and see-through fabric with silver droplets that led to the middle of my chest. When they all connected they went to stomach with the dress scrunching up to make my curves more noticeable. Of course cheers were heard all over the room when I gave the consent. The staff packed their things as they took the dress out to check out.
-"So what does it look like?" The Hitachiin boys demanded to know.
-"You'll see tonight." Was all Yahuza said.
-"Are you nervous?" The maid and Mrs. Hitachiin asked at the same time as they led me out of my room all ready to go with make up and everything.
-"My face feels heavier." I commented as we made our way into the main hall where the boys were already waiting. The way my hair had been done was so swept it all up to side and have it curl inward, making my curly bangs hang a bit on my face until they went to the side like the rest of my hair.
-"Rosalie-chan is wearing makeup!" Hikaru and Kaoru exclaimed spying on the purple eyeshadow and mascara.-" She actually looks pretty." I, in return for that comment, stuck my tongue out.
-"Now, now stop that or your lip gloss will smear." Yahuza warned while we walked out the door to the car and headed over to the Host Club.
When we arrived there was no one there of course, we all were supposed to arrive ten to fifteen minutes early. The three of us walked towards the ballroom, staying silent. I could see the twins eyeing every decoration, looking a bit impressed, which made me feel proud. When we all entered I saw that everyone else was already there, and were too, eyeing the decorations.
-"I must say Onee-chan, these decorations are truly splendid." Tamaki flattered looking at the ceiling that had the chandelier, modified by me. He then turned and decided to walk towards where we were but suddenly he stopped cold in his tracks and just stared.
-"Yeah we know… who knew she could look like that, right?" Hikaru and Kaoru commended my appearance. Tamaki simply nodded in return while blushing, but I suppose that distance wasn't enough for him to stalkingly stare at me, so the Suoh boy rushed over with a hug. He then placed both hands on my shoulders, with this weird look on his face.
-"MY, if I would've known I was living with a princess I would've made you sleep in a golden chamber." Onii-chan bellowed causing each one of the Host Club members to come over to observe my aspect. To be honest, everybody in the Host Club looked quite handsome tonight as well, even Haruhi looked more manly than ever… for some reason. Tamaki was wearing a white suit with a lavender vest, underneath a pink shirt and a purple tie. Honey sempai had a white suit as well but he had a light grey vest with a big red bow tie, while next to him Mori sempai was wearing a navy blue suit; striped grey vest and a darker shade of a navy blue for the tie. The twins had a matching 1950's bartender get up that consisted of checkered vest with a green ribbon tied into a bow, and to the side chains that connected to the pocket of their vests. Also they had black arm bands that matched the color of their dress pants.
Now Haruhi had an odd combination of colors but it somehow suited the pattern. She wore a brown suit, white shirt, striped blue vest, purple tie and a white handkerchief in the pocket of her suit. And of course we can't forget the evil overlord that was to the side still writing in that binder of his. Though, he did look striking with his long black overcoat, blue vest, royal purple tie and white shirt... I shook my head thinking that he could look attractive.
-"Places everyone, guests are about to arrive." Kyoya ordered the moment he closed his binder, making his way up to the upper part of the room. You could say that the ballroom had a small balcony, because from the upper door there was a mount of stairs that stopped when they intertwined together; making a small looking platform that to me, looked liked a balcony. Before moving, I looked out the glass doors that were situated all around the room and with a small smile, made my way up.
-"It is so good to see you my little lambs, and heh, our special guests as well." Tamaki began to lift his right arm elegantly. -"The Ouran Host Club would like to bid you- " He then bowed as a spot light lit upon him.-"Welcome."
Upon his words the whole room lit up as well as the outside. A bit on the flashy side but today was special, so I couldn't feel annoyed about it. Once the orchestra began to play the rest of the Host Club bowed as a round of applause was heard. When my head came back up, I tried to glance around the room for Ritsu without looking suspicious. But to my dismay, I couldn't. Suddenly the Host Club bowed again once Kyoya had finished blabbering, but because I wasn't paying attention it was out of sync. Then it was our cue to walk down in pairs, to greet all the guests. That was my chance for me to find Ritsu, so I hurried over and waited to my partner to come. Swiftly, Tamaki grabbed my arm and lead me downstairs to meet all the guests.
-"I thought Kyoya was going to lead me down." I whispered quizzically.
-"Yes, but siblings must always be seen together... My, you're cute for thinking otherwise." I didn't buy that excuse, as much as we loved being with each other Tamaki loved Haruhi much more.
-"He stole Haruhi from you, didn't he?" His reaction was all I needed for a response, chuckling we arrived to the bottom of the stairs and with our million dollar smile began greeting all the couples. For some reason my heart beat faster every time we dismissed a guest. But it seemed that it was in vain, because still I could not find my date. Tamaki squeezed my hand which let me know we were almost done. Still no sign of him. But I kept my smile.
-"Tenorio-chan?" I heard a familiar harsh but mellow voice questioning my name. With a beaming smile I turned to face him, grasping his hand and switching places. Tamaki eyed me suspiciously.
-"Onee-chan, this is my date for the night." I announced proudly. At first the blonde boy didn't believe me but at last he nodded with a sincere smile, shook Ritsu's hand, patted mine and before letting us go; he glared at Ritsu for a second then let him pass.
-"Y-You look gorgeous, Te-
-" I already told you to call me by my first name." I paused and glanced at him up and down. He was wearing a black suit, wine shirt with a white tie to match his handkerchief in the jacket's pocket. The color of his shirt really contrasted with the tone of his hair and made his facial features seem more calming and less menacing. So tonight Ritsu looked more gentle natured which somehow made my face feel warmer than usual. -"You,uh, look really nice tonight too Ritsu." I complimented as we walked to the right side of the room and exited the ballroom through the glass doors.
-"Woah, I guess what we did yesterday really paid off." He said in a daze while viewing the outside scenery, I then took the opportunity to step in front of him and with a smile say.
-"It is my pleasure to welcome you to the Ouran Host Club's Fall Dance."
My! I took a lot on this chapter didn't I? ... I'm really sorry for that, but I do have a special surprise for you guys! Next chapter is a really special one, consider it a Christmas gift... but a late one TTATT sorry. But I already started working on it, so it won't take long before I post it. Again I want to thank you for all of your support. And hope you guys have a fun holiday.
