Chapter 18- Not Letting You Go Again
3rd Person POV
Alexis was leaving today. Despite what happened the night before, she made up her mind, she was leaving with Cassidy.
"Are you sure, mom?" Cassidy asked her mother.
"Yes, I'm sure, now come on." Alexis gestured to the limo behind them.
"Wait!" they heard Katherine scream, running out of the house. Jaden was following close behind.
Katherine and Cassidy hugged and said their goodbyes, Jaden and Alexis just stared at each other without a word.
Katherine stood in front of Alexis, Alexis looked down. "Oh!" she fell to her knees and wrapped her arms around Katherine. "I'll miss you so much."
Katherine giggled, "I know. I'll miss you, too."
Alexis looked at the girl she left to Jaden before she left. Alexis was really reconsidering leaving them. She shook her head, no, I got family back home…
"You got family here, too…" a voice inside her head countered. Before anyone else decided to leave a comment Alexis spoke up, "Ok, let's go."
Cassidy frowned, "Fine." She hugged and kissed her father goodbye and followed her mother into the limozine. As Cassidy got into the limo and it started moving, she could of swore she saw Katherine give a wink. She was up to something… something good.
Katherine and Jaden watched as they drove off, when they were out of sight Katherine quickly turned to her father.
"Let's go!" she exclaimed excitedly.
He laughed, "Don't worry, we will get there before them." He smirked, "Their driver's gonna make sure of that."
Kathy looked at Jaden confused, "Who exactly was the driver?"
He smiled at her, "Atticus. But they don't know that." Katherine got what he was saying and smiled. "Now, shall we go?"
With Cassidy and Alexis
Cassidy stared at the driver's eyes through the rearview mirror. She knew those eyes. Just then, the driver's eyes locked with hers and he winked.
Cassidy gasped. She knew the driver. She knew she knew the driver. It was her only real Uncle. Atticus.
"What's wrong?" Alexis asked, looking over to Cassidy.
"Oh," Cassy smiled, "nothing."
That's when Cassidy heard something. She heard her name be called. Cassidy looked out of the window confused. When she looked up she saw a plane flying past.
Something went through Cassidy's mind and she suddenly knew what was going on. She turned toward her mother.
"Mom, could we stop by a gift shop?" she asked innocently.
"Why?" Alexis asked her daughter, raising an eyebrow.
"Oh," Cassidy smiled, "I just want to get Uncle Atti and my cousins a little souvenir."
Alexis sighed, "I suppose, if it's okay with the driver."
Atticus smirked from behind the wheel, Cassidy figured it out. "Fine with me, I can wait here." Atticus answered in a fake French accent. Cassidy had to hold back a fit of giggles.
"Ok then, we can."
Hours later, Cassidy and Alexis just arrived home
Cassidy was the first inside the house, she ran into the living area. On the arm chair someone was reading the newspaper, the whole newspaper was covering their face.
"Grandpa?" Cassidy joked, actually knowing who it was.
"Why, of course!" the person removed the newspaper from their face. Cassidy was sitting there with a wide grin on her face.
Katherine and Cassidy stood there, smiling at each other. Then, Alexis came in.
Alexis walked into the living room, expecting to see her parents. Instead, Katherine and Cassidy were both in the room smiling at each other. She gasped. They turned their attention to Alexis and chuckled.
"Well, hello mother." Katherine said, oh, so casually.
"Katherine!" Alexis exclaimed. "Wait…" she realized, "if you're here then…" Alexis looked at Cassidy who was smiling at something behind Alexis, or rather, someone. Alexis slowly turned around.
"Oh my god!" Alexis screamed. Jaden was standing behind her the whole time.
"Well, hello to you too." Jaden said jokingly.
"What are you doing here?!" Alexis asked, shocked.
"You think I'm just going to let you go again? Nah. I never made the same mistake twice. And I don't plan on starting now." He stated.
"Oh, Jaden…" a tear escaped Alexis' eye, "I love you…" she whispered, softly.
"I love you more." He smirked. Alexis laughed.
They looked toward the twins. They were watching them intently.
"Go on!" Katherine practically shouted.
"Kiss already!" Cassidy did shout.
And they did.
Done. Story over. Finally! I will put up an epilogue, though. I hope this was okay, I had no idea what to put up for this chapter. It ended up like this… I hope its ok. I liked the ending. I liked it very much. Anywho, see you soon!
