'You bastard'
The atmosphere in the theme park was no longer filled with cries of joy and laughter from different corners of the park. Everything seemed eerie and misty as the opposite gender stood against each other, staring at each other down.
Hotaru had harshly spoke as she quickly grabbed Mikan's wrist and dragged her as far as she could from Natsume but she knew she couldn't get very far because there was only one exit and Natsume was standing in front of it.
Natsume POV
'Crap crap crap, I knew this would bloody happen the moment I came. I just need time, I just need time to speak to her but that crazy ice queen keeps trying to protect her.' Natsume hammered himself in his mind repeatedly.
I was going to run towards them, but I was interrupted by my best mate 'Natsume stop, I'll go calm Hotaru down, you sort out this situation' I knew instantly what Ruka meant, this situation was getting very sticky with Nana standing right next to me and the girls with shocked and disgust written all over their faces, 'how the hell did I get into this situation anyways' I thought to myself, cursing myself for even considering her request to come, I should have known the damage it would have down.
Normal POV
'Hotaru, you're hurting me' Mikan weakly whispered as she tried to escape her hold.
'Mikan for Christ sake, were you planning to stand there like a foo- ' Hotaru steered into her eyes whilst shouting her mind out
'Hotaru' Ruka shouted from the distance, gasping for any air that was available.
Hotaru POV
'What do you want' I accidently let out my anger towards the second most important person in my life. But I knew that this wasn't the best timing for him to come into the picture, mostly when he's best mate with that jerk. Hotaru thought in her mind as she cursed Natsume subconsciously.
'Calm down Hotaru, please just let Mikan decide for herself' Ruka calmly asked me as I looked hopelessly at him, slowly letting go of Mikan and allowing her to run off with tears gushing from her eyes
'You don't get it Ruka, you never it' I shouted as tried to get out of Ruka grasp as I really wanted to be somewhere else, I wanted to be in my own caterpillar sleeping bag where I wouldn't have to care about anything. 'How am I meant to get it when you never tell me what's going on your mind, you are always go into your own world that you can't see how many people are trying to understand, but you never let us in' Ruka silently projected his hidden views out of the love of his life. 'Why won't you let me in, why can't you trust me and tell me your feelings?' Ruka begged as he softly held both her palms in his.
'Being I'm scared' Hotaru whispered, as she looked at his palms that were tightly but softly wrapped around her arm making her feel so secure but scared. 'Because I don't want to end up like how Mikan did, I told her I would protect her and that he'll stay but I should have known that guys never keep to their words and they'll eventually all disappear into the mist' Hotaru tried convincing herself that these beliefs was true and what she stood for.
'Is that what you really believe then' Ruka grabbed her face, pleading for her to say no
Hotaru POV
NO, No I don't believe that, Hotaru's heart kept yelling out, where it was locked and hidden from her consciousness
'Yes' Hotaru strongly spoke, she knew that this would disappoint him but she knew very well that love wasn't something she needed right now, she needed to help my best friend and she couldn't drag Ruka into this
'Then I guess, I never really knew you' Ruka shook his head, confused and shocked, that the girl in front was this cold hearted. As he let Hotaru's hand drop in mid air as he turned his head towards the exit of the park and step by step he faded from Hotaru's sight.
Ruka POV
Hotaru if this is really you, then I don't know who I really fell for, because I know that the girl that I enjoyed being with wasn't like this. Maybe you're just like all girl, you just don't trust guys. He thought as he started to walk away from his beloved one.
Hotaru POV
'Sorry Ruka, but I can't drag you down' Hotaru whispered as she stood there wishing that this didn't happen but she knew perfectly well that she couldn't have him in the picture if they we're dealing with that bitch Nana.
Taster of next chapter: Everything's on the table with Mikan and Natsume, can he finally talk to her with Nana and everyone in the way?
Will they end up together or will everything end up in tears?
Comment on what you think might happen because I'm still in a dilemma about what to go with since there is a lot of an idea in my head that is undeveloped.
I kinda had two ideas for Hotaru and Ruka scene but I decided to go with the break up because it gives the relationship more depth and excitement, comment below on your feelings about this scene and if you liked it.
