Hey guys, i am so sorry about the such long wait between updates. So here it is.

Chapter 5

Jace and I made it to the restaurant a little after 7. We walked inside to see a huge table with Isabelle, Simon, Alec, Magnus, Jon, Kaelie, Millie and Luke seated smiling at us.

"Hey guys." I said smiling back at them. Jonathan jumped up and hugged me.

"How are you feeling? What's the news?"

Jace smiled. "She is almost in the clear. Just a few things to worry about, but other than that they're doing just fine." Jace held out a seat for me and I thanked him as he sat next to me.

"So do the two of you know the sex, or are you waiting?" Magnus piped up.

"Oh my Angel, I feel like such a complete idiot and brat. For the past 2 months I haven't talked to the two of you much. I am so sorry." I felt like a complete sad sack. (I love saying it!) Now my hormones are going crazy and I feel a couple of stray tears run down my cheeks. "Oh angel. I am so sorry, I hate my damn hormones. We're having a little girl, by the way."

Magnus had to jump up and hug me. "Now I'm going to have a little niece to dress up!" Alec also congratulated me.

I looked to the end of the table to see Luke sitting and talking to Simon quietly. Jace laced our fingers together under the table and rested them on my belly. Anyone would just have to smile at that.

All through the night we kept up the mindless chatter and shared a few laughs. After that month of bed rest I really am tired, my routine was all screwed up.

We all decided to finish up and head home. After Luke paid I asked. "Hey do you guys want to come over to ours and watch a movie, or something?" They all nodded their heads except Luke.

"Sorry but I have an early shift at the hospital. But you all have fun." I hugged him goodbye and faced the rest of them.

"Do you mind if Mills takes a bed 'cause she looks dead to the world?" Jon asked motioning to the small child asleep in his arms.

"That doesn't matter, there are plenty of beds to go around." I glanced back at Magnus and Alec. "You know my new address right?" They both nodded saying that Izzy told them.

A little while later everyone was at the house. Magnus and Alec had never been to my house, because I bought this place about a week before I visited Jon and Kaelie. So I gave them a tour of the 6 bedrooms, 2 kitchens, 2 living rooms, 8 bathrooms, a dining room, library, gym, theatre, and garden.

Yes I know there are lots of places in the house, with all my savings from my paintings and inheritance I could just about afford this place.

After Jonathan put Millie to bed we watched a whole bunch of movies in the movie room. I was feeling tired, so I told everyone they could crash at the house for the night and went to my bedroom.

I put on Jace's blue 'A fault in our stars' cloud shirt that I've been wearing for ages and a pair of pyjama pants, getting the bed ready, then there was a knock at the bedroom door.

"Come in!" I shouted at them.

Isabelle walked through the door carrying something in her hands.

"Hey, nice pjs." She smiled at me and we both plonked down.

"So what brings you here in my wonderful room?"

She handed me a parcel. "I just got you this to congratulate you on being half way through your pregnancy."

I couldn't help it my hormones were a mess, I pulled her into a bone crushing hug and tears started leaking out of my eyes. "Thank you Iz! I love you so much!"

I unwrapped it to see a basket full of odds and ends. There was chocolate, bath soaps, a baby names book, another baby book with weeks by week activity and other handy things.

"Wow this is too much, you shouldn't have."

She shook her head. "No, you're practically my sister and you deserve some pampering once in a while, especially since you're carrying my beautiful niece."

We leaned back onto the headboard and cushions just chatting.

"Do you think I'm going to be a good mom, Izzy?" I whispered.

"Clary, you are going to be the most amazing mom in the entire world, don't ever doubt that for a moment. Now I think I'm going to go to bed now, I think Jace is coming up now."

Once Izzy left I opened up the week by week book and paged through it, up to 22 weeks.

Jace came in. "Hey baby." He kicked off his shoes and started getting undressed. I couldn't help but blush when he took off his shirt. His jeans hung at just the right place on his hips to see his V and if you looked close enough, a trail of blonde hair running behind his clothing.

"You know it's rude to stare." Tearing my eyes away from his stomach, I looked at his smirk carrying face. Once he had his flannel pants on, no t-shirt, he climbed into bed and snuggled up to me.

I looked down at the page of the book I was on and noted something. "Jace did you know that our little girl is about the size of a mango. And she is starting to sleep around 14-16 hours a day."

"Wow that's incredible, I really love mangos, now come and sleep I'm really tired." I put the book down, turned off the light.

He automatically cuddled into me like he does every other night and I drifted off into a dreamless sleep.

So as i said before i am extremely sorry. School has gotten hold of all my spare time and i am struggling to write this, i will try to update soon.
