Chapter 9

Turns out we were going to the premiere in a limo, to tell you the truth I was quite nervous as to what people might think of the baby.

Although I am very excited to see Stephen's new movie, I think it is called (Not a real movie, I think. My plot line) 'In the dark' It's a horror movie about a group of friends going camping where there are mysterious attacks and one by one they disappear.

Celine and Stephen were sitting at the end of the limo and Jace and I were facing them.

"So Clary are you excited for the baby to arrive?" Stephen asked me after some silence.

I nodded. "Yeah, I mean it's going to be weird, like something's missing but I can't wait to hold her in my arms." I smile at my stomach. Jace wrapped his arm around me, resting his hand under my belly.

Celine laughed. "I remember after I had Jace it took me almost two months to get used to that feeling of nothing there. Jonathan was quite a big baby."

Soon we arrived at the theatre place. The driver who was Will opened the door. Jace's parents slid out first. All I heard was screaming people.

"Come on." Jace got out and gently helped me out. Flashes were everywhere, Jace wrapped me to his side then we followed Celine and Stephen down the red carpet path. Jace occasionally made us stop for people to snap pictures of us.

"You know these flashes are going to blind me." Jace mumbled in my ear as we entered the theatre. I nodded slightly. "This way, we'll probably lose my parents if we don't be careful."

The movie was amazing, of course I gripped Jace's hand whenever there was a scary bit. But other than that, I loved the movie.

Jace's parents were chatting softly to each other on the way home in the limo, I rested my head on Jace's shoulder and drifted off to sleep.

I woke up to find myself lying in a very comfy bed with Jace's arms wrapped around me. I lifted my head up to see Jace sleeping peacefully. He just looked so content.

Suddenly my phone decided to ring and make a noise waking Jace up.

"Shut it up." He mumbled. I stood up to see it was Isabelle ringing.

"Hey. What's up?" I questioned.

"Nothing I just missed you." She said something more hidden in her voice.

"Isabelle I missed you too. Now tell me."

"When did he ask?" Oh I forgot to tell her about our engagement.

I'm so sorry Iz, I completely forgot. He asked me after breakfast yesterday." I swear I could hear her grin.

"Oh my God this is so exciting! When are you going to have the wedding? Who's your maid of honour?" She started off rattling out questions making my head sore.

"Isabelle shut up for a moment, please?" I begged her. She was silent. "I don't know when the wedding is going to be, probably after the baby is born and I was wondering if you would be my maid of honour?" She squealed.

"Of course I'd be. I should probably go now Simon says hi and right now he is waiting for me so we can go out. Now be safe Clare, take it easy and we'd see you on Christmas Eve, right?"

"Yeah, okay. Love you Iz bye." She hung up.

-One week later. 2 days until Christmas-

"Jace, we need to go present shopping for your parents and our friends." I tell Jace while we were walking through the mall.

"Uh huh, what do you think we should get them?"

I shrugged. "Dunno, I was thinking of a nice necklace or something for your mom, books for your dad, and the others we'll see when we come to it."

Soon we decided to get beautiful diamond loop necklace for Celine, a few classics for Stephan (that Jace said he didn't have) Alec a navy sweater and a red one, for Isabelle a pair of stilettos, comics and gaming stuff for Simon, for Jon a nice pocket knife, Kaelie a new bag, Mille, some new dolls, Luke another watch and I got Jace a new pair of Dr Martens.

We finished around lunch time and Jace took me to his favourite restaurant and I had a salad and macaroni and cheese and Jace had a steak and fries.

The food was delicious, I really wanted to come here again except we leave tomorrow morning to go back home.

I didn't really think I would miss the place, but I would definitely come and visit Celine and Stephan again, hopefully very soon.

Later on that evening I grabbed the wrapped presents and Jace and I walked to the living room to where his parents were.

"Clary, Jace what's going on?" Stephan asked.

"Um well here are your Christmas presents." We held out a few presents to each of them.

"Oh my goodness." Celine gushed. "Thank you darlings, but you shouldn't have." I shook my head and they pulled us into a group hug.

"We got you guys something too." Celine put her things on the table and skipped out the room and towards their room.

Soon she came back with a few parcels. "These are from the both of us." She handed them to us and Jace and I said we'll open them on Christmas day.

"Well I think I should finish packing. Have a nice sleep and see you tomorrow." Jace said night as well and we left for upstairs.

We managed to finish packing and I climbed into the comfy bed and snuggled up to Jace.

"Goodnight Clare, sleep well we need to get up early tomorrow." Jace whispered.

"Night."
