A/N: Wow I actually got this done in time to post it tonight. Granted I will only get five hours of sleep but I thought you all deserved a two chapter update for waiting so patiently and not calling for my head. I hope you like this chapter it is light and fluffy and you can really see Quinn starting to heal emotionally. I will warn you though, I have not proof read this chapter, I am choosing to just post it as is, so if there are typos and small grammatical or syntax errors I apologize. If there is a lot let me know and I will fix them and reload the chapter later. As always here is my DISCLAIMER: I don't own GLEE or any of it's creators and FOX.

Ch.22

Noah felt his palms sweating as he waited for Quinn to meet him in the auditorium. Finn had told him he was crazy to be nervous but Noah couldn't help it. Though things with Quinn had been great lately, she was letting him in more and more and he had become her main source of support in the months after the accident but how many times had they been in a good place to only be ripped apart. He knew what the answer to his question should be, what he wanted it to be, but he couldn't guarantee that Quinn felt the same as him.

"Someone looks pensive." Quinn beamed as she rolled across the stage towards him. She looked lighter more carefree than he'd ever remembered seeing her, it was refreshing. Don't get him wrong, her eyes were still stained with sadness and exhaustion at times but the brightness of light shone forth more often and more consistently. He hadn't really been shocked when she called him in tears that her therapist thought she had depression and was putting her on meds. It had taken himself, Judy, and Frannie a whole week to get Quinn to accept that having antidepressants didn't make her weak or crazy. She still struggled with it he knew, but it was undeniable how much her moods had stabilized in the last two weeks she'd been on the medication. It was helping and Quinn was happier, that was all that mattered to Noah.

"Hey Beautiful." He smiled as he leaned down and kissed her forehead. How he wished to feel her lips against his again, but Quinn was being stubborn about this 'friends' thing. He loved her so he'd wait.

"Hey back handsome. So what was so urgent that you sent Santana to fetch me from lunch?"

Noah bit his lip and shrugged, "I…I wanted to show you something. Just stay there." Noah walked to the piano and sat down. Not many people knew he could play the piano; actually Quinn was probably the only person outside of his family that knew. Taking a deep breath he began to glide his long fingers from ivory key to ivory key. I soft melodic tune began to form. His eyes closed as he took in the music.

You came from the stars

Streaked from the heavens to wastelands unknown

Struggled on earth, too far from home

Flickering in shadows that would not go

Even stars need help sometimes

You came from the stars

Streaked to a world tough and unrelenting

Demons yearned to snuff you out

Hide your radiance and beauty

Your light though dim never diminished, it beckoned.

You came from the stars

Streaked from the heavens into my heart

Shone for a darkening soul guiding it back

Back to hope and possibility

A beacon for all things good and pure

You came from the stars

Streaked across the world bright and true

From the shadows you led me

I'll take you home, you'll be bright once more

We'll go together my star, my love

Noah let the song fade out and silence reign before turning to Quinn. She sat there, tears glistening in her eyes. She said nothing be she didn't need to; the small smile upon her lips told him everything he needed to know. Standing he walked to her before kneeling before her, taking her glove covered hand in his callused ones. "Quinn I wrote that song for you, you've changed my life more than you know and I love you so much. I'm not asking you to be my girlfriend, I know you aren't ready yet, but will you do me the honor of going to prom with me?"

"Yes." She whispered before throwing her arms around him in a tight embrace. Maybe Finn was right he had nothing to worry about.

Frannie honestly didn't think she'd be here today, that she'd get this chance, but here she was with her mother and sister shopping for the perfect prom dress. Frannie had been lucky enough to be visiting when Quinn burst through the front door, sped into the kitchen like a race car driver, and came to pinpoint stop in front of their mother. She was smiling more brightly than Frannie had ever seen and she was rambling a mile a minute that neither Frannie nor her mother could understand her.

"Slow down and repeat." Judy had giggled with mirth in her aging eyes.

"Noah wrote a song for me and it was so beautiful and I thought, no I did cry and then he asked me to Prom. He wants to go to prom with me." It was a little sad the disbelief in Quinn's voice that Noah would want to go to prom with her, but it was overshadowed by the happiness radiating from Quinn. "I'm going to Prom." She cheered.

Now here they were and Frannie couldn't be happier that her sister was giving her a second chance, allowing her to be a part of such an important moment. Frannie picked up a long tight red gown with a modest V-drop neckline. "How about this one Q?"

Quinn glanced up from where she was looking at some blue dresses, "No, Santana is definitely wearing red and I don't want to match my competition." Frannie rolled her eyes. Of course even with the accident Quinn had still been nominated for Prom Queen and logically Santana was her toughest competitor.

"What about this one honey?" Judy held up a dress and Frannie saw Quinn's eyes light up, "That's it Mom, that's the one." Quinn rushed to try the dress on, with Frannie's help. Francine tried not to think about the fact that her sister now required help to try on clothes and instead keep the conversation light as the process unfolded, it kept the awkwardness and embarrassment away for both woman. Once the gown was on Frannie stepped back to view Quinn, and her breath caught, even without make up or her hair down, Quinn looked stunning in the emerald green dress. Frannie felt herself begin to tear up, "Oh Lucy you are so beautiful."

Judy wasn't sure she'd ever been happier than she was right now; we'll other than the births of her two daughters, standing behind Quinn putting the final touches to Quinn's hair do. Quinn decided to wear her hair up in a loose wavy bun with strands falling to frame her face. Her eye shadow darkening from light green to hunter green caused her beautiful hazel eyes to standout and shine. Her makeup light and natural, she was simply stunning.

"You're so beautiful." Judy commented as she rested her chin on Quinn's shoulder and looked in the mirror. A rose red crept into Quinn's cheeks.

"Mom."

"No you really are, and not just your looks, you are so much more than your looks Quinn. I never said it enough, but your beauty comes from inside you. I know its cliché but its true, you're a wonderful, loving, passionate person and it radiates from you."

Quinn bit her lip and sighed, "I love you Mom."

"I love you too." Judy kissed the side of her head, "I don't know what I would have done if I'd lost you. In February I feared we'd never have this day or any of the other milestones left in your life. "

Quinn turned towards Judy, "Don't think about that Mom. I am here and I am not going anywhere that is all that matters. We have a second chance to be the family we should have always been."

Just then the doorbell, Judy tried not to laugh as Quinn started to fuss with her hair, "Stop your beautiful, now come on your date is waiting."

Judy left first to make sure she had her camera ready for the moment Noah saw Quinn. Judy stopped dead when the boy came into view. He stood there in a perfectly cut black suit that showed off how well built the young man was. He wore a comber bun and emerald tie. He looked as handsome as ever, like a movie star on a red carpet, but what caught Judy off guard the most was the absence of his shaggy Mohawk. His head was saved clear and frankly Judy never thought Noah Puckerman looked better. "Very handsome Noah."

" 'Oah pwetty." Beth chimed in. Judy had been so shocked at the Mohawkless man that she hadn't notice Shelby and Beth's arrival.

Noah laughed heartily, "Thank you Judy and I don't look nearly as pretty as you Little B." The little girl did look rather cute in her tiny green dress. Shelby and Beth had gotten a sneak peak at Quinn's dress the other day and the twenty-three month old had been very insistent on matching her favorite person.

"Beth you look very beautiful."

The little girl smiled and spun around to show off her dress, "Mommy says I be a pwetty as Quinn one day."

Judy leaned down and kissed Beth's cheek, "You already are."

The catch of Noah's breath brought Judy's attention away from the toddler back to the room. Quinn had just wheeled in. Judy quickly took a picture of the stunned and breathless bad boy. It was too cute.

"Quinn you look…I mean… wow."

Quinn laughed, "Thank you Noah and I have to say you are very handsome. The hair is perfect how'd you get it to behave?"

Her laughter and jab at his hair broke Noah from his dazed state. "Very funny, Fabray." Noah walked over and knelt as he kissed Quinn's cheek and took out a corsage, a beautiful single Cala Lilly. "Noah it's beautiful, how'd you know Cala Lilly's were my favorite?"

"I pay attention when you talk more than you think. Besides it reminds me of you, elegantly beautiful."

Quinn blushed and Judy thought she might swoon as well, Noah was a charmer when he wanted to be. After the corsage was on Judy and Shelby proceeded to take at least a hundred pictures; mostly of Quinn and Noah alone, but also Beth with both of her birth parents and with each separately. Finally Quinn gave Judy a look that said 'if you take one more picture I will break your camera'.

So with a reminder to be home by 1 Judy watched as Noah and Quinn drove away headed to Santana's where the Glee club was meeting to take a limo bus to the Old Lima Inn where the prom was being held. It was going to be a good night and Judy was elated for her daughter.

Senior Prom was everything Quinn ever thought it would be and more. Sure the hotel was gorgeous and sophisticated, sure the music was perfect and the prom committee out did themselves with the decorations, but what made Prom more magical than she ever imagined was her friends, especially Noah. Together all the Glee Seniors rode to the hotel in a party bus which was amazing and they'd entered as a group. All night everyone had laughed and was carefree like Quinn had never seen them. Santana and Brittany danced and kissed with no shame and did Kurt and Blaine, Rachel looked amazing in her light pink dress and looked just as in love with Finn as she had the day of her nonwedding. Finn had his goofy smile as he dance around not caring that he looked slightly foolish. Sam and Mercedes were glued to each other's hips and danced nonstop except to come talk to Quinn occasionally. Mike had brought Tina and they split their time between canoodling in the corner and dancing.

As for Quinn, well she spent most of her time sitting close to Noah talking quietly and observing her friends. She'd been on the dance floor a few times but it wasn't the same, dancing in her chair with Noah towering over her. It was fun don't get her wrong, but it also reminded her that she was paralyzed and couldn't stand close to Noah and sway to the music or break out in a perfectly choreographed dance with Santana and Brittany. Sitting at the table though, she could just forget, things were just like they had been before the accident when she sat eye level with Noah.

"You want to dance again?" Noah asked quietly, noticing her staring out at the teens moving in time with the music before them.

"No I am good, maybe in a little bit. I actually just love sitting her with you."

"Me too." Noah landed a sweet kiss on her forehead. He was doing that a lot lately but Quinn found she didn't care. Her thoughts were interrupted by Principal Figgins coming to the stand.

"If you'd hold off on your gyrating a moment it is time to announce your King and Queen." Everyone went quiet. Quinn felt Noah squeeze her hand. She smiled back at him.

"First for our King we have…Finn Hudson." Everyone clapped and cheered. Quinn was happy for her former boyfriend turned good friend. Quinn secretly wished it was Noah but he hadn't been nominated, to bad ass. Finn deserved it though, he was a good guy who was kind to everyone and worked hard to help his friends. Sure he made mistakes, lots of them, but mostly he was a great and loyal friend.

"Now for the moment you have been waiting for, your Queen is…Quinn Fabray." Quinn was a little surprised she'd won, not because she was in her wheelchair, but because for nearly a year and half she had been the quint essential mean girl and had ruled McKinley with an iron fist. For three years she'd been distant and aloof, Ice Queen anyone. Sure she'd been nicer this year, minus her brief stint as a skank, and she tried to at least say hello to people in her class, but she really hadn't been as kind to everyone as someone like Rachel had been.

Noah was beaming and he pushed her forward, "Go you deserve this." Quinn wasn't sure if she deserved it but she was so happy she'd been named Queen, it was a silly goal but all her life she had wanted to be Prom Queen like her mom and sister.

Finn was giving her his dopey crooked smile as he laid the tiara on her head, "Congrats Quinn."

"You too Finn."

Then they moved onto the dance floor to the traditional King Queen dance. Finn reached out his hands and she took them gratefully, she'd feared he'd pull out a wheelchair to dance with her or lift he up and hold her while they danced, it was just the type of chivalrous thing Finn would pull thinking he was being sensitive but really it wasn't. No this was better Finn before her holding her hands as the swayed to the music.

"You look gorgeous tonight Quinn, the prettiest girl hear."

Quinn blushed, "Don't let Rachel hear you say that."

"She'd probably agree with me. I just I wanted to let you know how proud I am of you Quinn."

His comment took her off guard, "And not like just for being awesome through all the stuff that has happened to you but because, well because you finally got the courage to be yourself and show everyone the cool girl I knew, the one that I fell for back in freshman year. You could have been bitter but you weren't instead you like became this great girl."

There were no words for Quinn to say so she just pulled Finn in and hugged him tight. When the separated Quinn squeezed Finn's hand, "I am proud of you too. You are a real leader Finn."

Just as the dance ended Noah swooped in and took her hands, "May I have this dance Your Majesty." Keeping a straight face Quinn nodded her head, "You may My Lord."

"Lord, I like that." Together they laughed and began to dance. Yes tonight was everything and more than Quinn every imagined it would be.
