He was grinning, laughing, and having the time of his life as if today was the last day he was ever going to live. He was beaming with joy and she was there, watching him with the guilt hovering over her head like a raincloud threatening to shower her in the cold salt water. She was happy that everyone was grinning, smiling, and laughing like they did back in camp but she couldn't help but stop the thought of Natsu becoming upset once again when the year ends.

Especially since she would have to get married.

What would Natsu think about all this? What does Gray think about the idea? Would have she been better if she was back home? The idea was getting worse and worse as she kept thinking about it.

What was going to happen to Natsu? Will he let her go? Fight for her? Get upset? What'll happen to her friends? Will the memories eventually fade or will she continue making more with them?

She felt like bursting out in tears; telling the man she loves the truth but it couldn't end just like this. She just met him—she was reunited with him and she was happy. Everyone was—but why was it only her who couldn't bare this happiness?

Lucy jumped in her spot as she felt someone touch her shoulder, turning her head to look at Gray who was giving her a stern look. He leaned in and whispered in her ear making her tense.

"Stop worrying about it—Natsu is going to suspect something and you wouldn't want him throwing a fit..."

"I—I can't... why should I give him false hopes and make him feel this happy when he won't be with me too long?"

"Lucy... you're over thinking this—stop thinking about it and smile for Natsu's sake. He'll want that... I'm here for you so just stop moping around, alright?"

"B—but..."

"Hey, bastard! What are you doing to my woman?! Get away from her!" Natsu suddenly shouted as he separated the two away from each other. Gray fell off the bench making him curse out loud while it made Lucy come back to reality. She blinked in surprise and smiled brightly at the jealous teen, wrapping her arms around his neck. He turned his head and gave a warm smile making her insides do all sort of summersaults, the two staring at each other like love struck fools.

"I'm glad you're back in my arms again, Luce... I didn't know how long I had till I finally went crazy."

"I would say the same." Lucy mumbled back before leaning in for a kiss.

Before they could share one, a teacher burst in-between them, stopping them from locking lips.

Natsu growled and glared at the teacher who smirked down at him. "Natsu, if you want to—there's a hotel right down the street from the school," Lucy flushed at the indecent comment as everyone else laughed at the teacher's humor. "But this is school so no PDA till after school."

"You shouldn't be the one telling me that, Gildarts."

"Oh? And why is that?"

"Hey, isn't that Ms. Cornelia right there?"

Within seconds, Gildarts had his lovely wife over his shoulder and into some random room, leaving the kids all giggling about what he was about to do in school grounds.

Natsu smirked and looked at the flushed girl who seemed to be over-thinking the little hotel talk Mr. Clive had been talking about, making Natsu raise a brow at her.

"Hey Luce, you feeling okay there?"

"U—uh, yeah, of course! Why wouldn't I be?" Lucy laughed nervously allowing the rosy-male to nod slowly at her awkward behavior. "Mm, anywaaays—kiss me, maybe?"

"Sorry Natsu, maybe later. I have to look for my classes and make sure I'm caught up," Lucy said, standing up from her seat to smile bitterly at Natsu. Natsu's whole jaw dropped as the male's started to laugh at the rejected athlete.

"Oooh rejected by his own girlfriend—that's hardcore, Lucy." Gray said, clicking his tongue in disapproval.

Lucy laughed and grabbed the large hands that belonged to Natsu, smiling at Natsu's pouty face. "Come on, Natsu. You can help me; I'll shadow you for the day."

"But you just said—"

"Forget what I said. I'll give you plenty of kisses along the day, I promise. You can come over later too,"

"That reminds me! How are you here and where are you living?!"

Lucy completely blanked out as she stared at Natsu, a small squeak coming out of her lips. "E—eh..?"

"Where's your house? How did you end up coming here? I was too excited about you being here, I completely forgot to ask..."

Lucy stared at Natsu's cute adorable confused face as she slowly adverted her gaze to the ink-haired male who was staring at her, a worried expression crossing his feature. He opened his mouth to say something to save Lucy from going through the depressed faze again but ended up closing his mouth to see Lucy and Natsu sucking face.

Guess that was one way to shut the male up.

Lucy put in her combination into her locker before it unlocked, yanking the metal door open to place her astronomy book into the locker. Since she was a senior, she didn't have to do much. She could just stay home but she also needed to study for her finals and exams. Especially since she was also aiding some teacher's she liked—that goes for Nurse Aries and her English teacher—but other than that, she was busy studying like the good girl she was.

Lucy finished jumping the books the teachers has distributed to her and closed her locker. She turned around to jump in surprise, looking at the blonde-haired student who smirked down at her.

"Uh... can I help you?"

"Yes, you can. I think I'm lost,"

"Oh, sorry to hear... I'm actually new here so I don't think I could help... but I can try," Lucy smiled sheepishly as she shrugged at the male whom nodding in confirmation. "So, what are you looking for, actually?"

"Can you help me find the way to your heart?"

Lucy blushed involuntarily as the pick-up line sunk in her mind, staring at the smug looking student who continued staring at her as if she was some rare jewel.

"Well, err, if you could excused me, I got to go find—"

"Whoa, what's the rush, sweetheart? I'm just here to ask a question,"

"Then say it and cut the crap." Lucy snapped making him reel back a bit. "Whoa, feisty babe."

Lucy sighed and slumped in her spot as she checked the time on her phone, looking back up to see him clear his throat and prepare to ask the question he wanted to ask.

"So, do you want to go out for dinner tonight? We could go watch a movie or something and have the time of our lives,"

"No." Lucy deadpanned, brushing past him to walk away. He blinked in surprise and spun around, quickly grasping Lucy's wrist before she walked away. "Whoa, whoa, whoa! Did you just hear what I just said?!"

"Uh, yeah? Sorry whoever you are—"

"Sting. Sting Eucliffe."

"Mmm... yeah, sorry, Sting, I'm not interested." Lucy waved her hand at him, jerking her hand away. She turned around to walk away again but Sting grabbed her again, pursing his lips at her annoyed expression. "Come on! Why not? I'm hot, you're hot, I'm blonde, and you're blonde! We're like, the perfect match made from heaven!"

"Look here, Sting, I said I'm not interested! Just leave me alone already; I have to go meet up with someone!"

"Why not just one chance?! I promise I won't mess it up, please!"

Lucy opened her mouth to reject him again until she remembered Natsu, her pretty pink lips closing shut to form a small smile. "Hmm... fine, sure. I'll go out with you tonight."

"Come on! Why won't you—wait, what, really?" Sting asked, his whole face lighting up at her words. Lucy nodded in agreement and pulled away, leaning in close to whisper seductively. "Come pick me up at 7 tonight, Sting. I'll be waiting."

Lucy reeled back and gave him a wink before walking away, leaving Sting turned on and amazed on over what had just happened.

Did that really happen or was it just his mind fucking with him?

"Natsu, Natsu!"

"Lucy! What the hell, what took so long? I got so worried!"

Natsu caught and embraced the blonde who threw herself on her boyfriend, the two of them hugging their worries out. After a while of silence and rocking back and forth, Natsu pulled away to look at Lucy who looked a bit amused.

"What? Is there something wrong?" He asked making Lucy giggle and shake her head. "Natsu... there's actually something I want you to do for me tonight."

"What?"

"Well... do you know someone named... uh, what it was... I think, Sting E—something?"

"Uh-huh, yeah. That guy is a dick who flirts with every pretty girl he sees," Natsu snorted, rolling his eyes. He looked back down to see Lucy trying to contain her laughter, suddenly getting the impression he did something to his girl. His entire body tensed and his face darkened, rage building up in his body. "What did he do to you?"

"Nothing! Well... except the fact he asked me out for dinner and flirted with me even though I rejected him like, five times."

"That bastard! I'm going to go and rip him to pieces for flirting with my girl—"

"Natsu! Calm down, jeez!" Lucy cried out as she pushed him back and held him in place. She smiled sweetly at Natsu as she flattened the ends of his scarf that he still had around his neck. "I have a plan so go along with it, okay?"

"Well, alright... are we going to your house now?! I'm starving!"

"You're always starving..."

~X~

"Hey, what time is that prick coming to pick you up?" Natsu asked as he strolled in her kitchen half-naked making her blush and screech in embarrassment. She ended up throwing a plate at him which he barely caught.

"What are you doing walking around my apartment half-naked?!"

"Relax, Lucy! It's just me!"

"That's why go put some clothes on!" She screeched again making him cringe. He frowned and walked towards her, handing her back the plate. "Sorry, no can do—shirts make me uncomfortable."

"What the hell?! Natsu, my house, my rules!"

"Can't you just let your boyfriend do this? Anyways, it's not like I'm flashing you or anything," Natsu pouted earning a smack on the chest. Natsu smirked as he cried out in mock pain, earning a glare from Lucy. "Natsu, please go put a shirt on."

"Babe, you're lucky it's not my pants—"

"Natsu!"

And as if it was on cue, the doorbell rang which saved Natsu from getting hit or being forced to go put pants on. A wide grin decorated his face as he turned around to go along with the plan but Lucy grabbed his arm before he could open the door.

"Natsu, remember, don't be too harsh, alright?"

"Yeah, yeah, I got it. Don't worry—I'm just going to teach him not to flirt with my girl anymore," Natsu smirked, leaning in to give her a quick peck on the cheek.

Natsu exited the kitchen as he went on over towards the brown door, unlocking the top one to swing it open. His smirk got even wider when he saw Sting's whole face drop to what looks like, fear and confusion.

"Hey there, Sting. What brings you here?" Natsu asked, tilting his head in a confused manner. He watched as Sting struggled for words, pointing behind him to mutter words that were barely auditable.

"Sweetheart, who's at the door?" Lucy called out making Sting's attention shift from Natsu to the place behind him. His blue eyes adverted back to Natsu's stern face that made a shiver run up his back.

Natsu stepped forward and grabbed two fistfuls of Sting's dress-shirt, pulling him close to his face that their nose brushed against each other.

"You ever flirt, touch, or even give my girl any looks that I disapprove of... I'll make sure to break every single bone in your body and rearrange your face, got it?"

Sting trembled against Natsu as he heard the words hiss out of his mouth as if he knew that he wasn't joking with him. He nodded and gulped, cold sweat running down his forehead.

"Y—ye—yes sir."

"Good, now scram."

Natsu threw Sting off him as the blonde stumbled backwards and gulped, turning around to speed walk towards the stairway to make his way out. But before he could, Natsu stopped him once again.

"Oh yeah, and Sting?"

"Y—yeah?"

"The next time you come pick girls up for the first date... don't forget to bring some flowers because you're a fucking dick for coming empty handed. Especially for my girl," Natsu spat, making Sting nod and make it seem like he sprinted down the stairs. Natsu watched him with a satisfied grin before closing the door and walking back inside to his lovely girlfriend who pulled a plate full of lasagna out from the oven.

She placed it in the center of the table and smiled at Natsu who came on over, his mouth watering so soon. "So, what happened?"

"I scared him a bit, nothing too bad." Natsu snickered, sitting down to grab his plate. "And just so you know, I think he might of wet himself."

"Aw, Natsu! I told you not to be so mean! I told you to intimidate him!"

"I did. Now, can I have some lasagna now?"
