As the days past, Natsu noticed something. He noticed how depressed and quiet Lucy had become and it worried him. Was Lucy becoming depressed? He didn't know but he really wanted to. His girlfriend was so locked up for some reason. She was always the one to express her feelings out verbally and physically but why didn't she tell him her problems? Was it time for them to break up? Was she trying to give him the hint that she didn't like him anymore?
That made him upset and he was going to find out what she was upset about before he went crazy.
But that was one of his worries since he also had another thing to worry about.
Prom.
Scrolling down the website full of Promposals, Natsu didn't know how lame he could get. He didn't have anything original nor did he have an idea to ask Lucy to prom.
He was a hopeless romantic and it was killing him. He really wanted to cheer her up but how could a shitty promposal help?
He wanted to see a real Lucy Heartfillia smile where it reaches her eyes and where it brightens the entire room. Not some fake one that barely even reaches her eyes—the ones where it makes him know she was okay.
It sort of hurt him to know that his girl was hurting and he couldn't do a single thing about it.
Sighing and ruffling his hair in a frustrated manner, he tried thinking of everything Lucy liked. To the point what her favorite food was and to her favorite places.
How was it already time for Prom?

Lucy walked down the hallway of her high-school as she greeted people with weak smiles and went straight to her second period.
Another day—another day of dread and absolute depression.
The day of her wedding day and graduation day is approaching in a very quick manner and it was seriously messing with her and she haven't been happy in a long time. Finals and everything important was coming her way but all she could think of was her wedding day. Graduation was something she dreaded and she's been spending a lot of time by herself or Gray lately to get things off her mind.
Since Gray knew everything—the two were almost together all the time and she couldn't really remember the last time she's been with Natsu for a long time.
She missed him and she knew it was a bad thing to avoid and ignore him since she wasn't going to see him anymore, soon. But she couldn't face him.
It was cowardly of her but she couldn't even be near him without wanting to break the news.
She planned on not breaking the news—she planned to just leave and disappear. That was going to be much easier than seeing him struggle and try whatever he can to make her stay. Knowing how hard-headed the male was, he wouldn't give up. And she did promise she will marry once she graduated... she couldn't back down on that. Especially since the promise was with her father.
Walking in her second period, the blonde put her backpack on the ground right next to her desk and sat down.
The world was going in a fast pace and she couldn't keep up—everything was moving and she wasn't. She was sitting there, doing this and that when everyone was already done.
Tears prickled in the corners of her eyes as she imagined Natsu's heartbroken face when he realizes he can't spend the rest of his life with her. Why did she even come when she had to leave, again? She should have just stayed home and forgotten about all of them during the months of school.
This was hell.
"Lucy!" A male's voice snapped her out of her thoughts as she looked up, tears trailing down her face as Gray stood in front of her with a look of worry. "Gray?"
"Goddamn it, Lucy." He hissed as he looked around before reaching down to grab her wrist. He pulled her up from her seat and dragged her out of the classroom as Lucy followed, silently. Not knowing where she was being taken, she didn't question it since she knew that Gray knew what she was going through.
When the two finally stopped, Lucy realized they were outside.
"Lucy, stop it."
"Stop what?" She asked, looking up at him as he growled slightly and pulled a handkerchief out of his back pocket. He handed it to the blonde who took it and wiped her tears with it, sniffling slightly to look at the ground. "Gray... why does the world hate me?"
"Lucy, nobody hates you. You need to stop crying and get your shit together—how long has it been since you've been with Natsu?"
"A—almost a week..." She replied in a choke sob, the tears rushing out again. "I miss him," She croaked as she started to sob, covering her eyes with her palms to have Gray watch in agony.
The male reached forward and encircled his arms around the blonde as he let her cry into his chest, a sigh flying out of his lips.
"Lucy, you can't keep avoiding Natsu... he misses you too and he's really worried about you... everyone is. Please, for the sake of everyone and you, stop thinking about your wedding day and live a little, will you?"
"I can't..."
"What do you mean you can't?" Gray repeated as he pulled her back and looked at her tear-stained face. He cringed slightly as she looked like a wreck, her eyes blood-shot while her face puffed up over the salty tears.
"I can't... I can't really face anyone without breaking down—why do you think I'm with you a lot or avoiding Natsu? I can't deal with all this, Gray. I just want to tell him but I can't! You know how hard-headed Natsu is! He's going to do something reckless and it's going to start something!"
"Lucy, stop thinking about it!"
"I can't, I told you! Graduation is in two weeks! In two weeks, I won't be able to see Natsu anymore, you, Lisanna, Erza, Levy-Chan, anyone! Don't you understand how badly I'm hurting?! Why is it already time for graduation?! WHY?!"
"Lucy!" Gray shouted as he grabbed her shoulders and held her tight, cries and wails filling the air as the blonde cried again. "Lucy, stop thinking about it! Natsu is hurting because of you! I'm hurting too! Don't you understand how badly you're hurting everyone around you because you're hurting?! We're all a big family—we'll protect you. When one of us is happy, we're all happy. When one of us cries, we all cry. Don't you understand? We're all here for you."
"Gray, I can't back down from this."
"Yeah, I know you can't," he said in a distress tone of voice. "but I can make you forget about it just for a couple weeks because we still have that much time, together."
"G—Gray..."
"Now c'mon... why don't you go see, Natsu? He's been missing you a lot and I know you have been too." He offered a smile as Lucy took in a deep breath and wiped the tears away, pulling away from the soccer-player. "Uff... I'll try. Oh god—do I look bad?"
"Uh..." Gray frowned slightly as he saw the smudged make-up all over her face. "fine, you look great."
"Stop lying, you're horrible." She said, pulling out her phone to give it to Gray to hold for her. She expertly wiped the make-up off her face and pulled out a tube of mascara out of her back pocket, apply some to have Gray furrow his brows and wonder where in the hell she got that from.
Once done, Lucy took in another deep breath and put a stunning smile on her face. "How's this?"
"Much better."

Grabbing the male from the scarf and dragging him all the way down the hall and somewhere vacant, he threw the male into the janitor's closet making Natsu scream and curse.
Of course knowing the half-naked male since they were really young, he knew this would be some kind of prank of him locking him up in a closet for the rest of the day. But when he heard a familiar female voice right behind him, his cursing and banging was paused as he turned around and stared into the darkness. He couldn't see anything since his vision wasn't used to the dark yet but he didn't know somebody was in there with him.
"Natsu..."
"You... who... Lucy?" He immediately asked, stepping closer to touch the darkness as the blonde tensed up. His hands rested on her shoulders and he felt around till his hands slid down and accidentally grasped her breasts making her cry out in surprise and embarrassment.
Almost immediately, he had a red hand print on his face while he was in fatal position on the ground.
"I—idiot! The first thing you do is grope me after a week of not seeing each other?! What kind of pervert are you?!" She screeched, covering her breasts with her arms and hands. Her vision blurred a slight bit and afterwards, she saw perfectly well into the darkness.
She also saw that her boyfriend was on his feet again and staring down at her.
"W—what is it?"
"Luce... it really is you." He said in a hush whisper as Lucy pouted cutely. "Who else would it be—?"
In a flash, Natsu grabbed the blonde and slammed her against the door, a gasp and whimper erupting out of her lips.
"Ouch, Natsu, what's wrong with—?!" She started to say but stopped when she felt a pair of warm lips on hers. She made a sound of surprise from the back of her throat but didn't fight it off as she felt the intense emotions coming from the male.
She sunk into the kiss and threw her arms around the male's shoulders as they kissed passionately. Their tongue's danced with one another as they missed the feeling of it, the rough large hands that belonged to Natsu, holding her tightly against himself as if he was afraid of letting her go.
"Luce," he grunted into her skin as he leaned down and kissed her right on the throat making her hum. "where have you been?"
"I've been... busy, lately... I'm sorry." She apologized as she held him tight, pressing her body against his as she felt the warmth she's been missing for way too long. She tangled her fingers into his hair as she pressed her forehead against his, locking eyes with the pink-haired male. "I'm sorry, Natsu."
"Lucy... I—I was so... I was so scared." He admitted as he nuzzled his face into her neck as he inhaled her sweet loving scent.
"What were you scared of?"
"I was so scared... so scared that you might leave me... I—I thought I did something wrong. I thought you wanted to break up—I... I'm sorry." He whimpered like a helpless lost child, his grip tightening around the blonde as Lucy gasped. "Please, Lucy, don't leave me. This week was hell for me 'cause I wasn't with you... I love you so much."
"Natsu," Lucy spoke, her voice trembling along with her body. "I love you so much—I swear, I won't ever leave you."
Gray watched how the blonde next to him instantly lit up, her smile reaching her eyes and her smile reaching everyone around them.
Finally after what seemed like years, the group was happy once again and the couple was together. He didn't know what happened in the closet—nor does he want to know—but whatever happened in there, rejoined the couple and made them all happy again.
It was lunch time and everyone was talking about random senior things. Natsu was nowhere to be found and Gray had a clue where he might be.
But for now, he ate his lunch and laughed along with his stupid silly friends.
Suddenly, in a middle of a conversation, the lunch room got really loud. It got louder than usual and there was a crowd of people by the door and it caught everyone's attention. Including the table where Lucy sat.
They all just stared and wondered what it was since it was obviously something surprising and big by the looks of the crowd. It was loud for a long time till finally someone came out from the crowd, Lucy's eyes widening when she realized who it was.
It was Natsu Dragneel, dressed in a Prince outfit and a dashing smirk on his face. He held a silver shiny heel in one of his hands and he made his way over to where his friends were, stopping in front of the blonde who blushed and gawked at the same time. And just like that, the large cafeteria became dead silent as if they also wanted to know what was happening.
Natsu looked a bit nervous by the way he tugged on his scarf and neckline but he held his ground.
"Uh... hi Luce."
"Hi... Natsu," she greeted back, a bit confused and interested on what this was about. "what are you doing?"
"Me? Oh well," He smirked at Gray's smug expression as he suddenly got on one knee, surprising Lucy and getting squeals from the other girls. He stared at the ground for a moment before he looked up, sweat pouring down his forehead as he held the silver heel up towards her. "Luce... Uh, would you like to be my Cinderella and go to the ball with me? And when I say ball I mean, Prom. Go to Prom with me."
The entire cafeteria gasped and went into a long process of 'awws' and Lucy blushed red, a large smiling decorating her face.
She couldn't help but cover her face in embarrassment and excitement as she got looks from everyone there. Natsu, who already knew her answer, smirked and pulled her shoe off her foot, holding her foot gently to slid in the heel on her right leg. "Oh, will you look at that? It fits!"
"It fits!" Somebody shouted making Natsu half-smirk and half-grin. "You must be my Cinderella. Please go to Prom with me, Princess."
Lucy only laughed as she stood up and launched herself onto the idiotic male, hugging him tightly as the heel gave her a few inches. "Yes! I'll go to Prom with you!"
Claps and cheers echoed through the cafeteria as the couple shared a passionate kiss, leaving the high school wanting more.
Though, the Prince out-fit and Promposal didn't suit Natsu at all, Lucy was happy he did put some effort into this. She complete forgotten about Prom and this definitely got a few things off her mind.
