"Prom. The one night where you make your dreams into reality and where you do whatever the shit you want because it's prom and it's your last high school dance before college. This, ladies, is what we live for."

"You preach it, girl!"

"Okay, not to be rude but Mirajane, what are you doing here?" Lucy cut in making all of the girls glance her way before looking back at the smiling beauty. "Oh because I'm Lisanna's date to prom!"

"Hi." Lisanna smiled and waved awkwardly as the looks of confusion and wonder was put on her. Giggling, the girls all forgot about it as they all started to excitedly get ready for Prom dress shopping. Prom was just in two days where it started Friday night and it goes till the next day—depending on the person—as the after parties were piling up.

Lucy was trying her best not to think about graduation or her wedding date since she wanted to enjoy Prom and her last days with her friends but it was hard.

Graduation was everywhere. Teachers ask, friend's ask, strangers ask—graduation was what everyone was excited about.

Well, not her, though. But to everyone, it would probably the best day of their lives.

"Hey Lucy, you okay there?" Erza asked as she placed a concern hand on the blonde's shoulder as Lucy perked up. She looked up at her group of friends to notice they were all throwing her a look of concern as she smiled and brushed it off, again. "Yeah, sorry guys. Just kind of tired, y'know?"

"Should we have not come today?" Juvia asked making Lucy shake her head. "No! No, no—today was a perfect day! Now, c'mon. There's this story called Classy I always wanted to go in!" Lucy tried saying enthusiastically as she dragged her friends along behind her.

That's right... I should enjoy life while I can.

X—

"Urgh, I hate suits. If only we can go in a t-shirt and shorts."

"That defeats the entire purpose of Prom, dumbass."

"For once, I agree with Salamander." Gajeel piped up as the trio walked through the mall in a casual manner as Natsu fumed. Natsu was a party guy. He loved parties and if he could, he would throw one almost every day but he hated the aftermath of it. He used to attend parties almost every night with Gray when he didn't know Lucy and he would always be the one drunk. But ever since summer of last year, he hasn't attended parties like that unless they were some kind of birthday party or Lucy was invited as well.

He would get dressed up all nice and fancy or hot and sexy then go party all night. He loved it but now, not wearing anything fancy for a while, he hated it.

"Prom is stupid."

"Why are you going, then?" Gray asked as he and Natsu both looked at Gajeel who grunted. "Levy." He said in a one-word reply making the two nod. They were also forced into going since they knew Juvia and Lucy wanted to go. If they had a choice, they probably would just attend the after party.

"Can we just hurry up and buy some suits and get some food? I'm tired as fuck."

"Do you even know what color dress Levy is wearing?"

"Why do I have to know?" Gajeel asked, a scoff coming out of his lips as Natsu and Gray both stared at him with an 'are-you-an-idiot' look. Gajeel merely raised a brow at them, "What?"

"Do you even know anything about Prom?"

"What? You pay hundreds of dollars for stupid flowers, stupid transportation, take billions of pictures, eat dinner, and attend a stupid party at school which involves shit-loads of drama and dancing."

Gray groaned as Natsu face-palmed himself, the two males trying their best not to hit him in public.

"You dumbfuck, we're not talking about that."

"Well, that's basically the only thing I know about Prom. Like you idiots know anything about it," He countered, crossing his arms over his chest as Natsu made a fist towards him. "Dumbass! You have to match with your date so it's cute or whatever!"

"Don't tell me what's cute or not you fag!"

"Hey—hey guys!" Gray hissed, trying to pull the two males apart from one another as people started to stare and whisper. "C'mon, can we just please—"

"FUCK OFF, GRAY." The two fighting seniors both shouted at the ink-haired who reeled back in shock. Soon, Gray got involved into the fight too as the three now, in the middle of the mall, started to argue back and forth like a bickering family. It ended up super bad since now a crowd was forming and security was running towards them trying to break it up and kick them out.

"Sir, can you three just—?"

"NO."

"If you three don't leave the mall we will have to forcefully do it."

"TOUCH ME AND I WILL END YOU." Gajeel screeched at the security guard who was mid-way from touching him. Taking the threat into heart, he backed away and paled instantly as now the three got louder and started to bicker with the security guards.

Suddenly, just in time, a pair of hands grabbed Natsu's pink hair and Gray's messy hair to collide their foreheads with Gajeel's. Stumbling to the ground in pain and surprise, the three all looked up to a furious looking Erza who towered over them in anger.

"Gray. Natsu. Gajeel."

"E—Erza!"

"Hi, sorry about them, we will handle them." Mirajane popped in, flashing her angelic smile to have the security guards swooned. Just then, the group of girls consisting Levy, Lucy, Lisanna, and Juvia approached with a look of dread as they caused even a bigger scene.

It was embarrassing to see three grown males on their knees in front of another grown woman scolding them in public.

It was embarrassing in both parts and it somehow seemed all comical to everyone around.

Just then, Natsu's attention shifted from Erza to Lucy making his entire face light up. He ignored the screams as he fumbled to stand up and rush over to where Lucy was, yelping in surprise when he practically tackled her into a hug.

"Lucy!" He cheered happily as Lucy scoffed and smiled. "What's with you?"

"I missed you. What are you guys doing here?" He asked as he now noticed the others to give them nods. "Are you guys shopping?"

"Yeah—we're looking for our Prom dresses." Levy said making Natsu's eyes lit up. "Show me yours, Luce!"

"NO!" Mirajane suddenly screamed, shoving the two apart from one another to have Natsu stumbled and Lucy blink in surprise. The silver-haired beauty came between them and hugged Lucy protectively, shooting the confused male a look. "Natsu, you can't see Lucy's dress until the day of Prom."

"Why?"

"Because it ruins the ultimate purpose of taking your breath away." Lisanna added as she giggled making him furrow his brows in confusion. "But—"

"No buts! Now, I'm assuming you three are suit shopping?" Mirajane asked as she planted her hands on her hips and looked at the three males who nodded. "Alright, since you three didn't buy them yet, you can go shop for that while we girls continue our shopping."

"Okay, wait, I'm confused." Gray rose his hand to stop Mirajane from speaking as now the attention was shifted to the male. "Why are you here, Mira?"

From to a smiling Mirajane, it turned into a sobbing one as everyone gave Gray a glare.

"Wow, great job on making her cry."

"You're a horrible person."

"Awh, Mira-Nee, ignore him!"

"I—I didn't mean it like that!" Gray cried out, waving his hands in the air in front of him as he tried explaining. But no matter what he said, insults were thrown back and forth between him and his friends.

For some reason, it always happened like this to him.

"Lisanna, can you please do my hair for me?" Lucy whined as the girls all fumbled around to get their make-up and hair done for Prom. They were all at Lisanna's and Mirajane's house to prepare then they were all invited to Natsu's house for the official greets and stuff. Since Mirajane was becoming a make-up artist, she did everyone's make up while the girls helped each other out with everything else.

"Urgh, I'm afraid that Natsu might not like the dress."

"What are you talking about?!" Mirajane suddenly screamed as she was mid-way on doing Levy's make-up. "That dress is a Beaded Ruched Blue Prom Dress which is basically made for you! It is basically a one of a kind thing!"

"I know but Natsu's favorite color is red... maybe I should have gotten a red dress?"

"No, blue is your color, girl."

"Just like Juvia," Juvia added as she flicked her short blue hair to the side as she was helping Erza with her hair. Sighing, Lucy pursed her lips and observed the girls in their Prom dresses. Levy went with a orange dress, Erza wore her black one which was basically the only color dress she wore, Mirajane wore a pink Princess gown, Lisanna wore a green Prom gown, and she and Juvia were repping the blue ones.

She could tell this will be one hell of a night.

"Do you think the boys are doing okay?"

"I know they're fine."

Natsu cursed as he fumbled with his blue bow-tie, cursing himself as he failed to tie his tie the third time that day. He was super comfortable in his suit and he never felt so clean in his life. He could just feel the wedgie he had and he just wanted to rip his bow-tie apart but he knew he couldn't.

Hearing a knock on his door, he turned and face his entrance to see his mother peeking her head inside.

"Need some help?"

"How'd you—"

"I heard your cursing from outside." She smiled as she opened the door and entered without his word, coming in front of him to grab his tie. "You look handsome, Natsu." She commented as Natsu allowed her to tie the tie around his neck. "Thanks mom."

"I'm so proud of you," she continued as he watched her smile. "you're going to Prom! Oh, I can't wait to see Lucy. Is she wearing a blue dress?" She asked as she noticed the color of his bow-tie making Natsu nod. "So I heard it is. I haven't seen it, yet."

"Of course you haven't! That ruins the entire take your breath away bit of Prom and your dates!"

"Geez, is this a girl thing?" He sweat-dropped as his mother quoted Lisanna.

Grandine merely smiled and flattened the front of his suit as she finished her work, stepping back to look at the male. "Mm, handsome as always."

"Thanks mom." He grinned as he turned and looked in the mirror to look at her work. He readjusted his bow-tie and messed with his pink hair for a bit before turning back around and flashing his award-winning grin. "I think I'm ready."

"That's great! Everyone will be arriving soon so just keep that in mind. Oh! And don't forget the flowers and try not to mess up your suit during dinner, hm? Treat Lucy well and don't mess this up for her. Prom is a big thing for girls, alright?" She lectured as Natsu rolled his eyes and grabbed his blazer that was sitting on his chair. "I got it, mom. Don't worry—who do you think I am?"

"A cocky bastard who is a huge slob."

"Mom!" Natsu whined at his mother's teasing as she giggled and watched him walk out. "Oh, I'm just kidding, honey!"

Natsu only rolled his eyes as he heard the doorbell ring, the male rushing downstairs to open his front door to have three males in suits standing there. One wore an orange tie while the other one wore a blue tie like Natsu was but a shade darker. Jellal wore a dashing black and white suit as they all exchanged silent greets with one another.

"Wow, thanks for taking my color you little shitfuck." Natsu said sarcastically as Gray scowled and shoved him to the side, entering his second home. "Mom!" Gray whined as Grandine came down the stairs with the laundry basket. "Natsu called me a bad word!"

"Wow, you would."

"Hello Grandine." Jellal greeted the woman who smiled at the three guests. "Hello Gray. Gajeel. Jellal. May I say how dashing you three look tonight?"

"Thanks." The males mumbled out in union before going to the kitchen to pig out. But before they got any sorts of snacks or food out, Grandine screamed and stopped them all from moving a muscle. "What do you think you're doing?!"

"E—eating?"

"No! You guys are going to dinner before Prom, am I not right?" She asked, planting her hands on her hips as they nodded making her snatch the salt 'n vinegar chips out of Gray's hands. "So, you guys should save your appetite for it. And what if your outfit gets messed up?"

"Mom, don't worry—"

"No, hush Natsu. The girls will be here very soon and if they see you all messed up, they won't be happy."

"We'll just have to wait to eat at the restaurant." Jellal shrugged as the male's all groaned in unison before plopping themselves on chairs or the couch. Shifting into a casual conversation, they all waited for a good ten minutes before the doorbell rang and Grandine dashed to go open the door.

"I think your mom is most excited for Prom." Gajeel said as they all rose making Natsu chuckle. "More like she's excited to have me out of the house for a solid twenty-four hours."

"Lucy! You look gorgeous! Oh my god—all of you look gorgeous!"

"Thank you Mrs. Dragneel!"

Coming out from the corner of the hall, the four froze in their spots as the group of girls all stood by the doorway in their dresses and heels. They were all stunned as they witnessed the beauty of their girlfriends or friends in such a beautiful attire, wondering if they were actually real or not.

Were they just look-alike of their girlfriends who were secretly models?

"Aw, Natsu, look at your little blue bow-tie. It's adorable," Lucy cooed happily as she approached him looking like some angel. He could only swallow thickly before reaching forward to brush her curled hair behind her ear. "You look... so beautiful." He whispered as he brought her close, planting a soft kiss against her cheek as Lucy flushed slightly. "You don't look bad either."

"Yeah?"

"I actually like suit n' tie Natsu. You look hot," she smiled cheekily as Natsu laughed and kissed her again as everyone else exchanged greetings.

"Damn, I'm glad I asked you to be my Prom date."

"Are you saying you wouldn't have asked me?" Lucy teased as Natsu smirked and twirled her curly hair on his finger. "I don't know. There was this super hot chick in school that I was meaning to ask."

Laughing, Lucy planted a quick kiss on his cheek to have his face sparkling. "You're such an idiot."

"I'm your idiot."

"Alright! Picture time!" Grandine shouted making all of them stop and look at the woman grinning and holding up a fancy camera. She waited for the kids to call trail out but nobody moved making her frown. "What are you all waiting for?! Get out of my house and line up! It's picture time!"

"Mom!"

"Don't mom me, Natsu! I need pictures. C'mon, let's go, let's go!" She ushered everyone out as the girls giggled. "Grandine Dragneel is the best Dragneel!" Mirajane laughed as she pushed Lisanna out as everyone trailed behind her, Natsu scowling at her little comment.

Finally coming out of the house, the girls and boys all separated to take pictures.

It turned out to be a huge disaster.

X

"Damn, they really went all out this year."

"Well, it is Prom."

"Gajeel, dance with me!"

"I'm coming, I'm coming." A grunt was heard before the male was dragged into the dance floor as every one started to separate until it was just Natsu and Lucy both standing by the door awkwardly. They held hands and glanced at each other before Natsu flashed a quick grin and pulled her towards him. "Want to dance with me?"

"As long as you promise not to step on my feet!" She laughed as he pouted towards her, pulling her where the crowd of people were who danced around crazily.

There was already a pile of heels by the corner of the place and everyone just had a blast. It was their last high school dance and everyone made at least one memory that will be carried on till their last breath. People danced, kissed, laughed, and occasionally, there were a couple of wallflowers by the corners.

As for Lucy, she forgot all about her marriage and graduation just for tonight.

Thank you, guys. I will never forget you.
