A/N: Sorry for the wait! I've just been really busy lately. I'm getting to all of your prompts as soon as I can! Enjoy.
Prompt: Dantana on Santana's birthday.
You love being famous.
Sure, the attention and constant invasion of privacy is annoying. And sometimes you wish you weren't so busy all the time so you could spend more time with Santana.
But 2 free VIP Beyoncé tickets? On your wife's birthday?
Definitely a perk of fame.
And now you can check buying a birthday present off your list –– not that these tickets are the only thing she'll be receiving (Your wife loves bling. But so do you, to be honest).
You had just finished a romantic dinner with your very favorite actress, where you had given her a very beautiful (and very expensive) necklace. And now, as she stares at it on her chest while you drag her out of the back entrance of the restaurant, you think it's safe to say that she is more than satisfied by your gift.
Little does she know what you have planned for tonight.
She's not really paying attention as you drive your Mercedes into a private parking garage and pull into a spot. In fact, even after you walk around and open her door, she's still staring at her newly received bling.
"C'mon baby, get out," you say, annoyed at how little she's paying attention, but enjoying how much she appreciates her (first) gift.
"Where are we?" she responds, grabbing your hand and finally taking in her surroundings.
"It's time for part 2!"
"Wait, there's a part 2––"
She's cut off as you step into the arena right when the lights dim. Perfect timing. A security guard sneaks the two of you into the VIP section of the B stage and you praise the Lord that nobody has quite noticed you yet. You hear your wife gasp as she sees the huge "B" curtain at the main stage.
"No fucking way," she says, looking at you in awe.
Okay, maybe you do know a few people, who know a few people, who could get you front row B stage VIP tickets to see the biggest woman in the music business –– Beyoncé. And maybe, just maybe, you have a few other things up your sleeve tonight.
But for now, as your wife stares at you, you can only mouth Happy Birthday while smiling at her and she pulls you close.
You're so getting lucky tonight.
After a long dramatic intro, Beyoncé, the queen herself, finally pops up on stage and starts singing Run the World (Girls). She truly is incredible. The woman sings hit after hit and you find yourself having the most fun you've had in a while. You and Santana both dance along crazily to Diva and you even teasingly touch the Latina all over during Naughty Girl. Much to your amusement, Jessica Alba, who also happens to be sitting in VIP tonight, joins the two of you in a dramatic lip synced version of Why Don't You Love Me. Okay, maybe Bey isn't just your wife's favorite singer, but yours as well.
When the second part of the show begins and Beyoncé is sitting on a piano in a shimmering blue bodysuit, you grab your wife around the waist from behind. You're wearing heeled boots today, making the two of you about the same height, so you rest your chin on her shoulder. As the opening notes to 1+1 begin, you both sway along slowly, bodies pressed together, smiles on your faces.
"When the world is at war,
Let our love heal us all,
Help me let down my guard,
Make love to me."
You quietly sing along into Santana's ear as you sway. The smile is clear on her face and you giggle as you press a kiss to her temple. You pull away slowly when the song ends and you look up to see Beyoncé soaring through the air towards you. She lands on the stage directly in front of you, no more than 5 feet away. Santana squeezes your hand in excitement, even though the two of you have met her numerous times at awards shows. You guess you're pretty excited too, but maybe for different secret reasons.
"Alright, imma need y'all to help me with this one," the dark-skinned blonde says to the crowd. "I don't think anyone needs help with the words, but just follow along if you can."
The guitar starts and the crowd goes crazy, including yourself.
"To the left, to the left," she sings, pointing dramatically with the crowd. The singer starts making her way in your direction. She stops halfway and holds her microphone out for a guy on her right who screams out the catchy hook. Beyoncé laughs and heads directly towards you and your wife, and you just have a feeling. She smiles in recognition and holds out the microphone for you.
"To the left, to left," you sing, perfectly in tune. The crowd goes insane as the screen reveals who's on the mic and you blush before turning to the Latina next to you.
Beyoncé moves over to your wife who sings it too, earning additional cheers. The famous singer winks at the two of you, before drawing back and finishing off the song. Your wife smiles giddily at you, her dark hair falling over her face. You move a strand behind her ear, and you're about to kiss her until you hear Beyoncé speaking into the mic again.
"Now before I sing the next song, I do believe there is a birthday today," the singer walks towards you once again and points directly at Santana. "So would y'all help me wish this special lady a very happy birthday."
The Latina's mouth is an O shape and she glances at you in shock. You just wink at her and hug her again from behind.
The whole crowd joins in on singing Happy Birthday and your wife grabs the other blonde's forearm to say thank you. Beyoncé just shakes her head and points at you with a mischievous smile before marching to the other side of the stage to start Love On Top. You're going to have to thank her later for that.
Santana turns around and looks at you in amazement before pulling you into a loving kiss.
"I love you so much," she says, except you can't really hear her over the song. You just kiss her again and pull her back into an embrace as you enjoy the rest of the concert.
When you think about it, it's pretty ridiculous; you got Beyoncé to sing happy birthday to your wife. You suppose she would've loved you just as much if you had done something else, but this was pretty damn cool.
You love being famous.
