Chapter 6 The Guide to Wolves
Almost immediately, most wolves will attempt to establish a relationship with prospective friends/partners. Some wolves can go against this instinct by using the more humane part of their mind but the majority of wolves will usually attempt to do this. The animal wolf is a pack animal and this reflects in the Lupus Filios' behaviour. Within a wolf pack there is a hierarchy which helps establish the strengths and authority of wolves in their pack and this is what Lupus Filios will also attempt to do. Un-like the wolf though, the Lupus Filios will attempt to become the strongest person of their "pack" Within a "pack" the lupus filios will have a closer set of friend within a pack which is derived from the human part of the Lupus Filios.
Natsu POV:
"The carriage is pulling up! I'm going to see my new partner! Do you think he'll like me? i hope he's nice. He must be since Master chose them" Erza was chatting in my ear. Over and over and over. Someone make her shut up please, my poor ears. They hurt.
"Erza, shut up! You don't want to ruin the surprise shout." Thank you Mirajane!
"It looks like she's trying to stay inside the carriage. Why would she not want to come out and meet us? She's weird" I stated my observation to Mira who, in turn, looked back towards the carriage she had just vacated. All we could see was a large pair of boobs emerging from the darkness, the rest of her body hidden by the shadows of th carriage. With a shove, the reluctant girl was shoved into the light. After a short stumble forward the blond steadied herself and looked up. Her fellow comanions being chucked out of the carriage and on to the floor.
"Alright everyone, SMILE!" I followed Mira's instructions and put on a large smile while keeping my eyes on the newly revealed blond. So that's my partner. She looks just like her picture. Except that her picture was smiling. Ah, tell a lie. She's smiling too. Now she's laughing. Damn, do i look that funny. She suddenly collapsed on the floor. I decided she was okay since she was clutching her ribs and was laughing her ass off.
Her laugh was infectious and soon i was laughing long with her. Her eyes were shining with laughter and her whole face was lit up. When her eyes locked with mine, her brown orbs with my black ones(he normally has black eyes but iv'e seen him with green eyes too so i'm not sure what colour his eyes are. Care to tell anyone?) i stopped laughing and instead started to develop a violent blush. A small giggle from Mira broke me out of my haze, it would be terrible if she thought i liked Lucy. Matchmaker Mira, the devils associate. Shaking off my blush i began moving towards her. Almost tripping over Gramps who was also walking towards her.
"Hello. You must be Lucy. Nice to meet you. I'm the guild master, Makarov Dreyar. But you can call me Gramps." I looked over Gramps as he said this. It was easy to look over him since he was so small. I could feel Mira's stare on me so i decided to insult Lucy and get Mira off my back.
"Hey, Luigi. I'm Natsu. I'll be your partner while you are unwillingly staying in Fairy Tail" She reacted worse than i expected. She must be touchy about her name.
"It's Lucy...eh, whats up with your hair! it's pink, such a gay colour!(I love gay people by the way. No offence.)" Gajeel's annoying laugh wafted from behind me.
"Bunny girl got some fight in her. GeeHee" I started blushing again. Lucy really did look like a bunny and all i could think of was her in a bunny suit. The blush started appearing again. I wouldn't be able to live through the teasing after this. I grabbed her shirt and set fire to my fist. She was a really good fighter right? She should be able to deal with this easily. Besides, i do want to fight her. She must be strong to be the leader of her pack. I doned a scary expression and grabbed her by the shirt. Lighting my hand on fire as i did so.
"uhh, what you say...L-U-I-G-I! IV'E WANTED TO FIGHT WITH YOU FOR QUITE A WHILE NOW!"
" Shit! Get off me! my shirt! MY SHIRT!" Her loud scream startled me and i automaticly let go of her shirt. Lucy jumped away from me and began batting out the fire on her shirt. I looked down at my hand to see the top of her shirt in my hand. The fire quickly eating away at it.I looked up from my hand to Lucy who was staring at me wide eyed. A quick glance at her body showed that area where her shirt should off been wasn't covered anymore. A small flash of her black, lacy bra brought back the blush for the third time today. I let out a small 'epp' and quickly smashed my hands over my eyes. As i would later learn, i had used too much force and had brusied the area around my eyes.
When i finally gathered enough courage to peek out from behind my hands i saw Laxus placing his furry coat over Lucy.
Lucy POV:
A large furry coat enveloped my shoulders, covering my body easily, the weight of the coat causing me to take a step forward. I stopped covering my chest area and instead grabbed the coat edges, pulling them closed. I noticed that the ends of the coat were piled on the floor around me, whoever it belonged to must be a lot taller than me. I had to crane my neck to see who this person was. Laxus. My heart started to beat faster and i could feel my palms getting moist from sweat. I should have known, only he would wear such a flashy coat.
"I gave him a sweet smile and a weak 'hey'. Fighting against the warm prickly feeling behind my eyes. A tell-tell sign of tears coming. Long ago we had decided to simply ignore each other. I wouldn't tell the team of him joining Fairy Tail and in exchange he wouldn't tell anyone about our existence. A sad decision but nonetheless a needed desicion. His small 'hey' back was accompanied by a small smile. Craning to see around his large bulk i saw Grey and Jellal on the floor looking at Laxus with a mix of looks like anger, shock, happiness. But not shock. I guess they figured it out. I began padding my way around Laxus towards them. But quickly stopped in my tracks when i saw Romeo, Levy and Evergreen being carried out of the carriage uncounsious. I looked back towards Laxus, alarm evident on my face.
"They tried to escape. It was the only thing i could do." I believed him. I had to. I knew him since i was a kid, he was employed by my father to be my play mate after being left in Bristol by his dad. He had always looked after me, never lied to me and never harmed me. He trusted me enough to burn of his Fairy Tail mark for him! How could I not belive him.
I carried on walking towards the second carriage. Pausing by the boys to speak with them.
"Don't worry guys. They'll be fine. We just have to wait this out. Wait for a chance to escape." i kept my voice low in the hopes that no-one else would hear but out of the corner of my eye i saw Laxus tilt his head towards me. His hearing is still as good as ever then. I looked up and scrutinized the Fairys coming out of the second carriage. The girl called Cana emerged first, she was struggling to carry both Levy and Evergreen. At one point she almost dropped both of them. Laxus brushed past me and took both Evergreen and Levy off Cana. A brief thanks was heard from Cana before she moved towards the guild house, shakeing an empty bottle over her mouth in an attempt to get the remaining drops.
Romeo was being carried by an older man with purple hair. The mans eyes were rimmed with red and were all puffy. With a start i realized that the man fitted the description Romeo gave us of his dad.
"Do you think..."
"It couldn't be. Could it?"
"It probably is"
"ROMEO'S DAD!"
Hahah. Sorry i didn't update as soon as you got me up to 50 reveiws. I didn't check my account for ages then i looked at my email and saw all the alerts on my computer telling me about your reveiws. I rushed to my account. Saw i had 52 reveiws and started writing as quickly as possible to get my chapter finished. I never thought you guys would manage to get me up to 50 reveiws so quickly. I won't ever underestimate you guys again!
Anyway leave a reveiw to help prompt me to start a new chapter. "A Reveiw a day keeps the blues away."
