Ok I'm gonna be honest with you all this chapter kinda...ok more than kinda...sucks. I'm not happy with it but its the best that came out of all the rewrites so here it is. Also I have no Beta so if anyone is interested let me know.
/"Wait what?" Goku choked on the fruit he was eating. "You heard me Kakarot. Let's go." Entering the ballroom everyone was on edge, nobody really wanted to be there but they all knew they had to. Sighing Vegeta walked over to the stereo, turned it on then turned back to the others, "Let's get this crap over with already." The five Saiyans looked at each other, "How are we going to do this?" Geta asked looking at the earthlings.
"How about you stop standing around like a bunch of idiots and actually teach them something!" Goku turned and looked at the newcomer. The woman standing there was tall and muscular with wildly spiky hair that hung to her elbows. She was wearing a knee-length black dress under her armor that showed off her muscles. Bardock smiled at her, "you always had a way with words Kyandi," taking her hand he nuzzled her before moving away. "Raditz" Kyandi said staring at the younger Saiyan. "Hello Mother." Neither one moved toward the other. Kaida shook her head at her uncle, "Grandmother," she approached the older woman "thank you for coming." Kyandi shrugged, "you said you needed my help and the Queen said she could spare me until she comes down at the end of the week."
"If you're done with your sap we still need to teach these earthlings." Raditz growled, "Now how are we going to do this?"
"I'll tell you one thing," Kaida said grabbing Gohan by the shoulder, "I am NOT teaching Kakarot." Gohan laughed at his twin, "I don't blame you there, I wouldn't want to teach him either." Kaida smiled as she led her brother to the other side of the ballroom. "Well Mother," Raditz laughed, "looks like you're stuck with Kakarot." Goku looked from his brother to this woman who was supposed to be his mother. "Well, come along then," Kyandi motioned for him to follow her. The pair retreated to the back corner quietly talking.
"Geta," Vegeta stared at Bulma with a smirk on his face, "teach your mother how to dance properly. Then you may come and get me. Boy, you and the other brat come with me." The prince left the room without a word, Trunks and Goten following behind him thoroughly confused. Sighing Bardock led Chi-Chi to the middle of the room, leaving Raditz and Videl to wonder over to the corner by the door. Once they were alone Bulma turned to Geta, "why did he call me your mother? I know it's not some sick joke on his part."
"Tradition." Bulma rolled her eyes at his answer, "can you explain that a little more?"
"Well...I'm not sure of all the exact details but because you're my father's mate and with my mother being dead that makes you my mother."
"So it's like a form of adoption."
"Exactly, and when Kaida and I mate it will also make you her mother as well." Bulma thought about asking questions but decided she could figure that one out herself. "So...dancing hn." They both laughed as Geta began explaining the dance steps.
Bulma sighed as she sunk into the couch. Two and half days they had been dancing for two and a half days. Dende it felt good to sit down. Just before they stopped for lunch it was decided that they now knew enough to not make fools of themselves at the upcoming party. She had to admit it was funny watching Kaida and Chi-Chi together. While I was fairly obvious that Kaida took after her father physically, she had inherited her mother's personality. When Kaida had taken the three of them aside to better show them some moves, the mother and daughter clashed. Chi-Chi had decided that one move was unbecoming while Kaida stated it was tradition and even the Queen danced that way. What had followed was an hour of shouting/screaming followed by twenty minutes of glaring at each other. The weirdest part was when they both broke out laughing. When she asked Goku about it he had shrugged and said he understood as much as she did. Oh well she thought at least they are getting along...well as well as two people with the same aggressive, controlling and stubborn attitudes can. Bulma was brought out of her musings by laughter coming from the back of the room. The six 'kids' were busy playing some sort of board game and by the look on their faces Geta had just lost something important to Trunks. Whatever happened must have been hilarious even Kaida is smiling. I'm glad they all seem to be getting along...not sure when...or how...that happened, but I'm glad it did. Hell Kaida's even been getting along with Goku. She watched as said person walked over to where they were playing and began bugging them.
"Why is it every time you start a game you never invite me to play?" Goku leaned on Goten's chair watching the game play. Gohan sighed as he rolled the dice, "We did ask you to play, but you were too busy stuffing your face with food to join us. Just like last time." The others laughed, and Geta looked up from the board "He's right Kakarot, he did go and ask you to join us, just as Trunks went and asked our father, but apparently both of you were too busy to be bothered." Goku looked at the young prince, "You guys really asked Vegeta to play? Though I gotta say I'm not surprised he didn't want to." Kaida laughed as she rolled the dice, "I guess it just means that you and DehDeh are just too old for fun. Hey Father?" Goku laughed and reached to fluff her hair like he did with the boys but stopped when she flinched away, instead he scratched the back of his head and laughed, "I guess I am getting up in years, but I'll never be too old to have fun." Videl watched the two curiously, while they seemed to be getting along much better Kaida still seemed to have some walls up around others. Getting a thought Videl acted on it, "Hey Kaida, I was wondering you guys have translated almost the entire Saiyan language but no on had told us what DehDeh means." Everyone in the room froze and looked up at Kaida and Videl. Kaida growled quietly at Videl then shook her head. She glanced up at Goku, sighed and quickly looked away, "It doesn't have an exact translation but basically it means..."/
"It means Daddy." Turning around Goku came face to face with Vegeta. /"Leave the children to their game Kakarot; we'll play Monopoly with them later."/
/"No way are we playing with you," Kaida laughed, "you always cheat. I swear the only one who cheats worse than you is Nappa." Vegeta laughed, "True, who do you think taught me." Turning he picked a book from the shelf and sat down near Bulma. Goku shrugged and relaxed on the chair near the fireplace.
Trunks watched his father, brother and Kaida interact. It had been this way since they arrived, the three of them got along so well. He felt so angry that he got up and left the room, ignoring Goten when he called out to him. Geta watched his brother leave the room; he had some idea of what was probably going on in his head. "Don't worry Goten, I'll go and see what's up with him. You stay here and finish the game."
Bulma watched the two boys leave the room. I'm glad Geta is going to talk to him. Trunks needs to understand why Vegeta is different with them. Bulma's thoughts were interrupted by the beeping of a scouter out in the hall which was followed by a voice answering. Moments later Raditz entered the room looking a little frazzled. "What's up Raditz?" she asked. Raditz looked around the room until he caught Vegeta's eye, "Their coming tonight, they'll be here after dinner. Apparently it's just going to be a quiet informal visit before their formal arrival tomorrow." Vegeta nodded. Bulma watched her husband, while he hadn't taken his eyes off his book she knew he was no longer actually reading. She looked between the two men, her tail puffing up and curling on itself in irritation. "What's going on? Who's coming?" Vegeta sighed and rubbed his forehead, "My parents."/
I told you all it sucks before so please don't leave reviews telling me how much it sucked instead tell me how I can improve it.
