Bulma stared at the door, wondering if she had done the right thing. But decided that it was best to think of that later, she was probably already running late and Dende knows Vegeta isn't the most patient Saiyan. She looked over at Kaida who, she now noticed, was holding some cloths. Dropping the towel she reached for the new outfit, quickly pulling it on. Wanting to know what she looked like in this new outfit, she had thoroughly enjoyed all the new clothing and loved getting more, she turned to look in the full-length mirror hidden in a corner. When she saw herself she gasped, she was barely clothed. Her breasts were covered by a dark blue tube top and while the matching skirt was full-length it had slits up both sides stopping a few inches from the top. "What the hell? Where is the rest of the dress?" Kaida rolled her eyes and supressed a light chuckle, DehDeh had warned her of this while his mate wore small, tight clothing on earth she would be uncomfortable in something this small. "And here I thought you Saiyans were all about covering up." Bulma said, her voice dripping in sarcasm. "The elites are, except for the day following the mating ceremony. This proves the mating was consummated, it's difficult to fake these types of injuries. Also it's believed that the more injuries inflicted during…night activities, the better the lover is." Bulma sighed giving in. she had decided not long after they arrived to go along with the Saiyans, her curiosity would allow nothing less. Turning back she looked at herself in the mirror again. My boots cover more skin than anything else! "Are you ready Your Majesty? I believe the men are waiting for us." Nodding Bulma straightened her shoulders and walked out the door.
Bulma sank into the couch thankfully. The last week and a half had been exhausting full of celebrations, parties, formal dinners, temple visits (some of these being hours before the dawn and after a very late dinner) and many other gatherings. She had been quick to learn that as the newly crowned King and Queen she and Vegeta were required to attend every event. Yet despite the long hours and little sleep she would love to do it all again. Now though it was all over, the king (it was so much easier to think of her father-in-law this way) and Xeraphina had returned to the capital taking Geta and Kakarot's parents with them along with most of the servants. Vegeta had told her that they too would head for the capital tomorrow, so she planned on enjoying her last night here.
Getting up she went in search of some company. Chi-Chi had been spending as much time as possible in her room, where she was currently hiding. Gohan and Videl had gone to 'walk' in the garden, so that left Vegeta, Kakarot, Raditz and the kids. I think they said something about being the ballroom earlier. I'll check there first. She was glad they were still there when she arrived.
At the far end Raditz was showing Kakarot a few things on the drums. She had to admit he was pretty good at it. On the floor nearby Goten sat with Kaida, both leaning over her guitar talking quietly together. Close to them Vegeta and Trunks were doing the same. Quietly Bulma entered the room, sitting down on the floor, close enough to talk with the others if they wanted but far enough away not to disturb them in their lessons.
Everything was going peacefully until Trunks cried out in pain. Looking up Bulma saw that he had gotten his tail trapped in the guitar strings. "Dam it boy!" Vegeta said as he freed his son's tail, "I told you, you can't use your tail to play until you've desensitized it and you can play well enough." Having freed the tail Vegeta pulled Trunks close and looked over his tail to make sure nothing was hurt too badly.
Bulma silently watched her mate and son. Thanking the Goddess, she had just gotten to know over the last twelve days, that her boys were growing closer. True since Buu had been defeated they had become closer than ever before but there was always a wall between them. Now however, it appeared that the wall was being taken down from both sides. Since they had arrived here she had caught them sitting together, Trunks' tail around his father's wrist talking about Vegeta's past, Trunks' interests or more often than not Vegeta would tell him legends and myths of the Saiyan race. While she had never actually caught Vegeta hugging Trunks, not that he ever would under normal circumstances, Bulma had seem them being close. Once Vegeta was sure there was no damage to his son's tail he let it go and went back to teaching him.
The next morning everyone had woken early, excited to leave and head to the capital. After a 'small' breakfast they gathered outside, staring at the large vehicle waiting for them. (Think bus or motor home.) "You have got to be kidding me!" Kaida exclaimed as she came out of the house. "We're driving there? Who's brilliant idea was this?" Vegeta raised an eyebrow at her, "Mine. Do you have a problem with that?"
Raditz and Kakarot snickered at the reaction, both thinking the same thing, This will be good. Kaida groaned, "My problem is that it takes six hours to drive to Niwa, while it only takes just over an hour to fly there, so why are we driving?"
"Because I said so."
"Please, that never worked on me when I was a cub. What makes you think it will now DehDeh?" Vegeta crossed his arms and glared at his adopted daughter who, much to his dismay, copied his actions and glared right back.
Kakarot leaned closer to his brother and whispered, "is it just me or is that just a little creepy?" Raditz laughed, "Ya it is a little creepy, but it's a lot worse when it Vegeta and Geta." The brothers laughed at that image causing Vegeta and Kaida to turn their glares upon them. Still laughing like children the brothers got on the bus followed closely by the three boys. Chi-Chi and Bulma, who were once again talking, though by silent agreement neither one spoke of certain topics, followed the men onto the bus. Vegeta turned to Kaida, who had not moved an inch, "get your tail on the bus before I make you get on the bus." Kaida rolled her eyes as she walked onto the bus, "Sure DehDeh, like you could make me."
Once on the bus Kaida walked straight to the back corner, picked Trunks and Goten off the seat and took their place, dropping the boys on the floor. "Hey!" They cried, "that was our spot!" Feeling the glares directed at her by the adults Kaida bit back the sarcastic retort, instead she gave them an answer they would understand, "You do realize that the window back here is really small. You'll be able to see more from up front and there's more room up there for you to be running around." Trunks looked past her at the small window and realizing she was right pulled Goten away and together the boys bounced to the front leaving Kaida to curl up in the corner and fall asleep.
Ok it's kinda short and all over the place but let me know what you think.
