Finally an update! I'm trying to get this one more detailed, if I fail... I fail. Hey, I have a question for you guys. Uh, scratch that, two. 1. What should I call you guys? Not anything normal, like readers or guys, our own jingle. 2. what do you think I look like? That question has been on my mind forever!

Alsooo...

READERS! I have reached over 1800 views on this story, and 97 reviews! I mean, come on! around 97 % of yous aren't reviewing. You don't even need an account. So guys, please, review my story. It would mean the world.

And now, without further ado, on with the story!

Cloudpaw felt frozen to the dusty ground. Swirls of brown and black, adding a dash of ginger, and a hint of silver, all different colored pelts whirled around her, making her dizzy, confusing her, making it hard to focus on where she was putting her paws.

She shook her head, and focused on a night black tom that was attacking Rustytail. Cloudpaw launched herself into the battle and barreled into the tom. He rolled on his side then hooked his claws in the ground and hauled himself up, tail lashing and green eyes glowing dimly.

That's when it hit her. The tom's name was Nightshade, probably named after the poisonous berry. He was the WindClan deputy, even though he was made a warrior not even a moon ago. He was everyone's best choice ever since he was made an apprentice. He was really long, but he was average height.

Even so the tom was incredibly intimidating.

Nightshade jumped at her instead, and caught her by surprise. He jumped right in front of her then leaped over her, batted at her tail to confuse and then slid under her and pushing up, pushing Cloudpaw in the air then letting her fall, flopping on her side. She landed funny and she felt something pop.

And it hurt.

She let out a wail, and Nightshade launched at her again. But this time he was knocked out of the way mid-jump. Cloudpaw recognized the glittering white pelt and flash of silver-gray eyes. Snowfall!

Her mentor had pinned down the black tom and her tail was lashing furiously. "No one touches my apprentice, you scum!" She sunk her teeth in his tail, but Nightshade held his ground. He gritted his teeth and turned in an awkward position, batting at Snowfall. He caught her ear and scarlet droplets littered her white fur on her head. She hissed in annoyance and pinned him down, then slashed her paw across his face.

Cloudpaw stood, and flexed her shoulder. It stung, but she had to keep fighting, for her Clan. She dashed off into the mass of cats, and toppled over a limp body on the ground. When she got up and saw who it was, she backed away, flattening her ears. The white marking where all too familiar, and the russet pelt jumped out at her as if it was a fox.

Cinnamon.

"No!" Cloudpaw cried, jumping over to her mother. She nuzzled her, but she didn't move. "No..." Cloudpaw sobbed. Then Cinnamon opened her eyes. They were glazed over and dull, and an eerie glow shone in them.

She breath a short breath and murmured something to Cloudpaw, something that made her heart sting.

"I love you. But I'm not you mother."

And then Cinnamon stopped breathing.

Ah! So sad! I didn't know what to write, but I felt like this needed to happen sooner or later. And for a book titled 'Life gets Complicated' Cloudpaw's life sure isn't complicated huh? Well, yeah. QOTD: What would your OC do in a situation like this? Mini stories are appreciated!

Until next time!
