"Castiel sat in Haniel's living room smiling like idiot, playing with the beautiful little betrothal necklace Dean gave him. After a week of being mated and going to the mansion, they had begun cleaning it up. When they returned to the village, Haniel had told Michael that Castiel had found a potential mate, Michael simply didn't question him, only saying that as long as it wasn't a wolf, which the archfox had lied about. Castiel wasn't to happy about that, but when Dean gave him the little gold necklace with a crescent moon on it, inset with sapphires, he was more than happy to lie to Michael to keep his mate.
Castiel was awakened from his thoughts when he heard a quiet knock on his mentors door. He moved to the entrance hall and opened the door to see Ezekiel dressed up holding a bouquet of flowers. "Hey Cas..." He said looking at his feet, "Hello Ezekiel." The omega said with a cautious smile. "I...um...I didn't ever apologize for what happened when you went through your first heat...so...um...these are for you." The alpha said finally looking up to hand Castiel the bouquet. His breath caught when he saw the golden betrothal necklace around his neck. "What is it?" Castiel asked, following Zeke's eyes to his necklace. "Oh, yes, I'm mated now." Cas said, a soft smile played across his face. "Oh...um...I'm so sorry, I-I didn't know, I'm sorry..." Ezekiel said turning away and leaving a slightly confused Cas at the doorway. "Who was that Cassie?" Haniel asked, "It was Ezekiel, he was just apologizing to me for what happened during my first heat, then he saw my necklace and just up and left." "Sounds to me like big bad Zeke has a crush on you." Haniel smiled, ever since Ezekiel attacked Cas during his heat, Haniel had kept him away from Omega house, which was Haniel's. "Anyway, has your mate made up his mind on when and where he wants to conduct the ceremony?" Hane asked. Dean had told the alpha of his tribe that he'd found a fox for a mate, though his alpha was apprehensive about the mating, and both Dean and Cas wanting to have a traditional ceremony for mates, he agreed saying it'd be nice to begin forming a bridge between races.
Castiel sighed, "Not yet, we're still trying to decide whose territory to have it on and where exactly it should be in either territory." Cas said fingers playing with his betrothal necklace. Their conversation was halted by a loud knock on the door, "That's odd, I wasn't expecting anyone today." Hane said walking over to the door.
Castiel wasn't sure why but he had a bad feeling about this.
"Dean sat in the manor, thinking of where the ceremony would take place, when there was a loud banging coming from the door, Dean waited for it to stop, when it continued, Dean raced to the door to shut up whoever shook him from his thoughts.
He opened the door to scream at the person banging on the door, only to see Haniel, Cas, and a short honey eyed werefox supporting an older looking alpha who had several wounds over his body and blood running down his face. "Oh, thank god! Well don't just stand there! Help us get him inside!" Haniel shouted at Dean. The alpha did as he was told taking most of the mans weight in his arms. They dragged the man into an empty room before Haniel started shouting at everyone giving them orders to boil water and get some rags. Dean retrieved a pile of clean rags where as Castiel and his brother ran into the room with two buckets of steaming water. They all stood back to watch Hane work on crushing various herbs and rubbing the mixture into the wounds on the alpha, cleaning the blood off of the man and bandaging him up. They watched as Haniel leaned close to the man whispering something into the sleeping alphas ear and kissing his slack lips. "Okay, what the hell was that all about?" Dean asked. Castiel and the short werefox quickly shook their heads before Dean looked to Haniel. The archfox's eyes blazed briefly before he turned to the wolf, "That was me saving my mate from fatal wounds, and I'd like to ask if we can move this to another room before we wake him." Dean knew better than to argue with the omega, so they all silently nodded before leaving the room.
Castiel nuzzled into Dean's chest as Haniel and Gabriel explained how they found the archfox's mate, Kain, wounded just outside the village. "...and that's all we know for now." Gabriel finished, "So, why'd you bring him here?" Dean asked, Haniel rolled his eyes "Because Michael tried to kill him before, maybe he was the one who-" he was cut off by a loud groan. Hane jumped to his feet and rushed to the room Kain was in. They all followed, Dean carrying Cas knowing he was to comfortable to get up. "Oh my goodness, Kain, how do feel my love? Do you want anything?" Hane asked gripping one of the gorilla shifters hands tightly. "I...I'm okay...maybe you could stop trying to break my hand." Kain huffed out with a laugh. Hane smiled at him brushing a lock of Kain's graying hair from his face. Dean and Cas smiled at the moment before Gabe nodded his head to signal they should leave the couple alone.
Gabriel sat outside the room Haniel and Kain were in, his ear to the door, a home made lollipop sticking out of his mouth. "...Is that really what happened?" Haniel asked, his voice muffled by the door. "Do you think I would lie to my mate?" Kain asked, Gabriel gagged, all this lovey dovey stuff was making him sick. "No. You have never once lied to me. If that's the case, we have to tell Dean's alpha, as well as Mi-" Gabriel heard Hane get cutoff by, what he assumed from the quiet moan escaping the omega, was a kiss. "I don't even want to hear you mention his name." Kain said.
"Gabe what are you doing?" Castiel whispered into his brothers's ear. The beta jumped at his brother's question. The door flew open as Soon as Gabe shouted. Hane stood in the doorway, eyes blazing, "And just what do you two think you're doing?" Gabriel and Cas moved closer together, the beta archfox flinched. "Sweetheart, don't be rude, they're probably just curious about what happened." The alpha said politely, Hane's eyes softened. "Of course, I'm sorry, today has been incredibly stressful, we'll tell you everything, just...give us a couple of minutes, okay?" The omega said. Gabriel and Castiel nodded, the archfox nodded his thanks and closed the door. Gabriel and Castiel walked down the hall in silence for a moment before Gabriel turned to him and asked "Cassie, can I talk to about something?" Castiel nodded before they turned into an empty bedroom. "What would you like to speak to me about Gabriel?" The beta took a deep breath before saying "What's the deal with that wolf? I know you two like each other, but...well, I think you're both crazy." Gabe said waiting for his brother to yell at him. But the exact opposite happened, Castiel simply smiled. "I know we seem crazy, but me and Dean are truly in love. Something in the way he looked at me that first time...Gabe, he makes me happy." Cas said, his smile becoming a far away look. "Well, as long as you can live with your decision, I'll back you up on it." Gabe said pulling his little brother into a side hug, Castiel laughed and reciprocated his brother's gesture.
Dean wandered the halls of the mansion looking for Cas, his mate had gotten up to use the bathroom ten minutes ago. He wondered if he'd ever learn where every room in the place was. That idea alone set his mind to thoughts of him and Cas living together, maybe even having kids at some point. That was something he'd have to ask the omega about. Dean had actually begun to read books about omega werefox anatomy that Haniel had given to him, from what the alpha understood, werefoxes only went into heat every three months, and it gradually gets worse as the omega ages. Dean shook his head, he only had one more month until Cas went into heat again. The memories of the way his mate smelled made him half-hard and drool a little. One more month. The alpha shook his head 'I really don't need a hard-on right now.' He thought. He heard Castiel's and Gabriel's laughter coming from further down the hall. He smiled. That noise always made his heart swell. He knocked on the door to the room and smiled at his mate, "Hey." Castiel returned the smile, "Hey." Before the conversation could continue Haniel appeared next to Dean in fox form, nodding his head towards the room he and Kain were in. They all followed silently as Haniel led them to the room. The archfox jumped up on the bed Kain was resting in, curling up next to the alpha. The Gorilla shifter smiled at his mate before turning to the rest of them, he scrutinized Dean before he said "You must be Dean, I hear the Demon tribe has infiltrated your pack," the werewolf nodded, "the person who attacked me was a Demon, he smelled a little bit like a wolf and fish." Kain said. Dean and Castiel's eyes grew wide, they knew who the Demon was.
