Here's chapter eleven and please review. Sorry about the huge delay in me updating, but I've have been really busy.
I'd like to thank BlackLouie, Raina, Princess Meria, almondbutter, Fluffy Hug, Aggregate Dragon and CSIMentalistTLK lover for reviewing my last chapter.
After an exhausting day, Kopa and his brothers limped up the slope to Priderock. They had been pouncing and stalking all days along with battles. Kopa's paws were cut and scratched and his entire body ached.
He was quite irritated at Tanabi and Akila for somehow beating him in the battles. It wasn't fair! How come they were better at battling than he was? He felt a jealous clench in his heart as he looked at his half- brothers.
"Kopa?" Nala walked out of the den and her eyes grew wide at the sight of her son. He had scratches all over his body and he looked exhausted.
"I'm fine Mom." Kopa grunted.
Nala shook her head, "That is not fine. Come into the den so I can clean you." She picked Kopa up by the scruff and carried him into the den where Kiara was waiting for them, already clean and fed.
"So what did you do during training?" Kiara asked.
"First we did battles and I kept losing!" Kopa raged as Nala bathed him. "Then we worked on pouncing and stalking. I was actually pretty good at that. Then we had to do more battles and I had Akila and Tanabi both team up on me! It's not fair! I'm going to get back at them!"
"Kopa," Nala said. "Calm down. Don't be angry at your brothers for this. They may be better than you...but you'll improve from training. That's the whole point of it."
"There's no way I am gonna be the King if I'm like this." Kopa muttered. Nala looked at him with an aching heart knowing that she couldn't tell him that he was the true heir to Priderock.
"Can I watch tomorrow?" Kiara asked.
"You're gonna start laughing at me and ruin my concentration." Kopa complained.
"No I won't!" Kiara exclaimed.
"Yes you will!"
"No!"
"Yes!"
"No!"
"Yes!"
"No!"
"Alright!" Nala said. "Enough! Both of you." She gently cuffed both of them on the head, as the cubs glared at each other.
"I'm so hungry!" Kopa said as Nala finished bathing him. "Mom, is there still meet leftover?"
"Yes there is." Nala said. "I have a hare that I caught. Kiara ate her share. Go and eat. It's where I usually stash my kills."
Kopa nodded and trotted out of the den as Kiara snuggled next to Nala, hugging Nala's tail to her as she slept. Nala smiled and licked her daughter's forehead. Ever since she was a newborn, Kiara had always latched onto Nala's tail when she had settled down to sleep.
"Sleep tight," Nala murmurered, nuzzling her.
Meanwhile the rebel Pride adults were groups together as Sarabi and a few others had called for a meeting.
"What do you want to talk about Sarabi?" Kudeka asked.
"A lot of us have probably heard that Scar started training his sons today." Sarabi began.
"And?" Moraan asked.
Penda stepped in, "He had four sons now that will be lost to his influence. If they grow up, they will be unstoppable and ruin the little goodness left in these lands."
"And what do you suppose we do?" Kula asked. She was worried about what would happen. Would the older adults try killing Kopa?
"We have to take on of the Princes and save them from Scar's influence." Sarafina said.
"And will that be your grandson?" Ishan asked.
Sarafina and Runju exchanged a glance, "No. Nala won't let them spend time with us therefore Kopa isn't suitable for our plan."
"How's this going to help?" Tama asked, narrowing her dark blue eyes at them.
"We need to spend time with at least one of his sons." Sarabi explained. "We need to save them from Scar's influence and teach him he right way. If we understands what a true King should be, and what we need, he'll rule that way when he becomes King."
"But how do you know if that son will be chosen for King?" Runju asked.
"We'll help him on his fighting skills." Penda answered. "He'll have the extra practice from us."
"And who do you suppose we choose?" Sarina asked.
"The plan has some problem we have to fix as well. We have to find a way that so that Scar won't find out what we are up to. Nala mustn't know either." Sarafina said, and everyone glanced at Nala's friends. "We also have to find time for it. Scar makes them train nearly all day."
"We'll still need a few days to decide who we choose." Sarabi said. "But this enough for now."
The adults nodded and went back to their sleeping spots for the night.

The next day, Kopa slowly opened his eyes. His body still ached and he was exhausted. Shifting his body, he realized that Kiara and his father weren't in the den.
Stumbling onto his feet, he wobbled over to Nala who was still asleep and gave her a nuzzle before going as fast as he could out of the den. He looked around and saw Kiara and Scar walking up Priderock.
Kiara noticed him first and bounded over to Kopa. "Morning!"
"Morning," Kopa mumbled. Then he turned to Scar.
"Dad, are you going to be training us today?" Kopa asked.
"No," Scar said. "I spent the day with you and your brothers yesterday and now I owe your sisters some time." He was very careful not to create sibling rivalry between his children.
"When are we going to start training?" Kopa asked. "And who's training us if you aren't?"
"The hyenas will be watching. And last night your mother managed to convince me not to have you train all day. We will start in the afternoon." Scar said.
"Alright," Kopa said. "I'm gonna go find Haru and Kovu."
"Actually Kopa," Scar said. "There's something I need you to do."
"What is it?" Kopa asked.
"I want you to go play with Tamara." Scar said.
"But I don't really play with her much." Kopa said. "I'd rather play with Danyssa, Jasiri and Divya."
"Do I have to repeat myself Kopa?" Scar asked.
"No," Kopa sighed. "But why do I have to play with her?"
"Well," Scar said. "She is your future mate you should get used to her." He then turned and began to walk away.
"WHAT?!" Kopa yelped. "You mean she's my future mate?" Kiara's mouth was agape in shock.
Scar turned back and nodded. "Yes she is."
"EW!" Kopa cried. "I can't be her mate."
"You'll change your mind when you're older." Scar said. "I have to go now."
"I can't believe you're intended to Tamara!" Kiara exclaimed.
"I can't marry her!" Kopa exclaimed.
"That would be too weird!" Kiara giggled.
"I need help from Mom!" Kopa exclaimed and ran back into the den where Nala was still asleep, with Kiara behind him.
"Mom!" Kopa cried, jumping on his mother. "Mom! Mom! Get up!"
Nala sighed and rolled over, but she still didn't get up. Kopa began pulling her ear.
"Mom! Get up! I need help!" Kopa yelled.
Nala raised her head, blinking the sleepiness out of her eyes.
"What is it, Kopa?" Nala asked.
"Dad said that Tamara has to be my future mate!" Kopa cried.
Nala's eyes darkened with anger and sadness, "Yes my dear. I know."
Kopa looked at her in shock. "You knew?" Nala nodded.
"Then tell him not to make me mate her!" Kopa begged.
"I'm sorry Kopa," Nala said. "I can't. If I could, I would have done so by now."
"This isn't fair!" Kopa growled, and stormed off leaving Nala and Kiara alone in the den.

Later that day, Kopa met his brothers for training. He was still quite angry at them from yesterday and he was determined to get even.
But as training went on, Kopa was still unable to compete with his brothers and it only made him more frustrated. Anger began to build up in him, filling his heart with a jealous rage. He would be better than them! He had to!
Scar came during the last half an hour of training to watch them. He praised them once in a while, but he was mostly yelling at them to improve, especially at Kopa.
"Faster Kopa!" Scar growled. "Attack and block at the same time!"
"I'm tired!" Kopa snapped back, feeling angry and exhausted. "You haven't been the one training all day!"
Scar roared at him, and Kopa stumbled back. The other three froze, knowing very well how Scar could get when he was angry.
"Say that again Kopa." Scar hissed, leaning into Kopa.
Kopa was unsure what to do. He wanted to yell at his father that training was too hard on him but he was too scared.
"Scar!" Came a voice. Nala came onto the scene and her eyes went wide when she saw Kopa and Scar.
"That's enough training for today." Nala said, and before Scar could stop her, she picked Kopa up carried him away.
When they were a distance off from the others, Nala set him on the ground.
"Kopa what happened?" Nala asked.
"Why'd you do that?!" Kopa shouted at her.
"Kopa!" Nala gasped, surprised at her son's change. "Mind your voice."
"No!" Kopa snapped. "I was doing fine on my own before you came along! Now they're going to think I can't handle anything without you!"
"No they won't," Nala said. "I know it's been a rough day for you. You're tired and angry from training. Let's just-"
"Just leave me alone!" Kopa muttered and stormed away from Nala, leaving her a bit shaken from her son's outburst.
Nala watched Kopa run away from her, and anger began to build up in her. Not at Kopa, but at Scar. She knew that Kopa was only acting this way because he was tired and angry from training. He had never acted like that to her before. Scar was being too rough on them but she had already done all that she could do. There was nothing else she could do but watch as her son took his own path beyond her help. It made Nala's heart ache, but she could do nothing. This was Kopa's fate that he had deal with. She couldn't interfere with what car did with her sons.
Her heart still aching with grief, Nala turned and headed back into the dens.
Hope you enjoyed and please review. Now training has made Kopa jealous and angry. He's jealous that he isn't as good as his brothers. He is angry from being so tired and he snapped at Nala. What's going to happen to him? Who do you think the rebel Pride will choose as the Prince that they save from Scar's influence? Next chapter we will see what Nala has to say about their plan. Stay tuned to find out.
