Bobobo: Rise of the Octavia

Chapter 14: Under Pressure

Last time, Bobobo and his gang entered the domain of the Charge Conductor, Sol. They had difficulty facing Sol's Elites, Taru and Hukira, due to the low gravity of the planetarium-like chamber. Taru and Hukira smacked the gang around until Softon threw Taru into the Earth replica, which Sol emerged from. Now, we rejoin our heroes.

Sol floated towards the immobilized Bobobo, eyes burning with hatred and left hand extended. Bobobo squirmed in vain as the Quinto* Octavia grew closer and closer. His friends rushed to help their afro-ed ally, but Charge Conductor pointed his other hand in their direction. In that instant, they all were forcefully placed into attendance by an invisible power. No. Not just any invisible force.

"Gravity," Softon said, "your Super Fist controls gravity, doesn't it." Sol ignored the swirl head's questioning, gaze still set on Bobobo. "Hey!" Don Patch yelled, "don't ignore us!" Sol continued to ignore everyone but Bobobo. "Where's Beauty?" Gasser shouted, "What have you done to her?" This time, Sol spoke up.

"Y'all making too much a ruckus," he said in a thick southern accent, "I can't think straight." With a wave of his hand, Sol sent everyone but his elites and Bobobo flying. They rocket towards the mercury replica, the top half opening just in time to catch them before closing.

"W-What did you do to them?" Bobobo struggled to say with Sol keeping a constant pressure on his body. The Octavia member smirked.

"Your little friends are fine," he said, "you're the only one I want dead." Sol held both his hands in front of his chest and clenched them together. Bobobo screamed in agony as the sound of his bones breaking under the increasing gravity echoed though-out the arena.

[At the same time]

Don Patch punched the wall of the dome he and the others found themselves trapped in. But, it didn't do a thing. Jelly Jiggler rapidly kicked the wall, Dengakuman tackled it, and then Softon and Gasser struck it with their Super Fist attacks. All did nothing to the plastic-like material.

"What's this thing made of?" Gasser shouted in his rage. Softon glared at the dome's top. "If we could just-" The sounds of Bobobo's agonizing screams interrupted the Babylon warrior.

"Bobobo!" Don shouted. "We need to get out of here now!" Jelly said as Dengakuman rapidly hit the wall with a paper fan.

[Back with Bobobo]

"Ya definitely a strong one," Sol mused as he continued to crush the Bo-tector with his gravity powers, "you're the first person to last this long under such pressure." Sol's Elite Soldiers stood on the Venus replica, enjoying the show.

"Yeah chief!" Hukira cheered, "Squeeze him til his head pops!" Taru said nothing, in fact, he wasn't even watching! He was staring intently at the replica he and Hukira were currently standing on, for some reason.

"Ya got any last words?" Sol asked, hovering close enough to whisper the question into Bo's ear, "I'll be sure to pass it on to all ya little friends." A strained sound passed Bobobo's lips and Sol smiled in triumph. The Quinto* Octavia eased his power's grip on our afro-ed hero, and floated before him.

"Come again?" he asked smugly, "I didn't quite hear ya." Bobobo was breathing heavy, regaining his bearings from the gravity bear hug. He motioned Sol to come closer. Hukira floated over to hear Bo's admission of defeat, though Taru was more concerned with staring at the Venus replica to be bothered.

"I-I'll…" Bobobo muttered. Sol and Hukira moved in closer to hear him better. "I-I'll only say…" Bobobo said before pausing. Sol and Hukira were in afro's distance. A twinkle in Bo's eye flashed.

"I'LL ONLY SAY THAT THIS GUY IS ONLY FOR DECORATION!" Bobobo shouted as his afro opened, launching poor Dengakuman into Hukira and Sol.

[At that moment]

Don Patch, in an act of desperate rage, threw Dengakuman at the wall, only to have the puppy to disappear mid-flight.

[Back with Bo]

As the unconscious Dengakuman drifted off unnoticed, Sol and Hukira got to their feet. Only to have an orange sports car smash into them from above. Bobobo scurried to behind the Jupiter replica.

"GET HIM!" Sol commanded. Taru instantly became focused on his surroundings. The Inca cosplayer crept along the edge of the imitation gas giant. He jumped out…face slamming into a brick wall. Bobobo popped beside the construct, and stuck his tongue out.

"Beep. Beep," he honked before zipping off into the direction of Saturn. Sol lifted his arm, Hukira floating in parallel, both covered in a faint white aura.

"Super Fist of the Southern Stars," Sol shouted, "Eridanus Skipping Stone!" Sol motioned throwing a stone across a body of water, and Hukira went flying. The Elite acted like said stone, skipping across an invisible water's surface.

"Whoa!" Bo exclaimed, barely dodging the incoming Hukira. The Elite smirked as he span around, now facing Bobobo.

"Subzero Kick!" he shouted, his lower leg suddenly covered in ice. "Fist of the Nose hair," Bobobo said quickly, "Ironing Man!" The Bo-tector blocked Hukira's freezing left foot with a glowing red iron, steam exploding from the impact.

"Not bad, Big 'fro," Hukira said, "but you're out of luck!" The Elite attempted to kick Bo, only to be blocked. Bobobo stared perplexed.

"What do you mean?" he asked. Hukira grinned. "My power rises the further I am from the artificial sun," he bragged. Pointing at the orbiting ice chunks he continued. "All those blocks of frost," he said with pride, "are people my foot finished!" Bobobo gasped.

"That's right," Hukira resumed, "Out this far, I'm unstoppable! You have no chance of survival! Now…your fate is set! Prepare to-!" Another person breaking through the planetarium wall, flying into him, and sending them both into the Jupiter replica, silenced the loudmouth.

"MAT-POP?" Sol exclaimed in surprise. The Séptimo Octavia slowly turned his** head to the Charge Conductor. "Oh…hi Sol-chan," he rasped, "sorry for coming by unannounced. I really didn't have a choice in…the…matter…" MAT-POP fell unconscious atop the knocked out Hukira.

"Finally he shut up," a new voice shouted with relief. Both Bo and Sol turned to the hole in the wall. From said hole, five figures entered the planetarium arena. The first was a man the same height as Bobobo, only he wore a green shirt and had his hair styled in a ducktail. The next was another man, a blonde man with a scarf, followed by two girls. The first wore a yellow vest and the second wore a magical girl-esc dress, both had blonde hair.

The last figure, the one who expressed his opinion earlier, was a teenage boy. His hair was black with his bangs dyed blue. He wore a red t-shirt, black pants, green shoes, chain wristbands, and purple goggles around his neck. Said teen waved at Bobobo, smiling.

"Aloha, cousin Bobobo," Aka Keishokua said, "Sorry we took so long, we had to stop to refill on gas."
