Chapter XXXV: Judgment Day Part II: Clash Of The Titans
Anna and Kai didn't know for sure if Cade was knocked out or not. All they were able to see was that Cade was laying flat on the ground on his back with closed eyes. Usually, when one's head hit ice like Cade's did, they would be knocked unconscious for a long time. Even Elsa suffered being unconscious due to her head hitting the ground, and ice usually never bothered her. So, if falling on ice was strong enough to take Elsa out, then it could potentially be strong enough to take Cade out... theoretically. Cade was physically stronger and more disciplined that Elsa was. He would be able to withstand being knocked down like that. Anna was barely able to withstand it as her head didn't hit the ground that hard.
Kai grabbed Anna's wrist and ran around the pile of snow. He tried his best to keep his footing as it would've been easy for him and Anna to slip on the snow. Luckily, he was fine as he ran. Both of them were. It seems that that's one of the perks of being close to Elsa; you grow some immunities that others usually would be susceptible to.
Anna assumed that they both were going to run downstairs and free the monarchs and Rapunzel, but, when they reached the large door that led out of the room, Kai stopped in his tracks, leaving a confused Anna stil running. When she stopped running and looked back at Kai, she almost slip, barely being able to balance herself. Running with high heeled boots didn't make things any easier for her. She walked closer to Kai to see what was wrong. He had his head turned away from her and back at the room.
"Come on, Kai, let's go." Anna said.
Kai didn't respond to her. He just kept his gaze on the room. The snow pile was blocking his vision of Cade. He wouldn't know if Cade was conscious or not.
"What's wrong?" Anna asked.
"Shhh." Kai ordered. Anna closed her mouth, still perplexed as to what was happening. Kai took his bandaged left hand and cuped in. He then put the cupped hand around his ear in order to hear better. Larger ears meant better hearing. Kai definitely heard something. "His breathing is heavy." Kai said. "He's still conscious."
"Then we should go in there and make sure he's not conscious." Anna said.
"I'll do that." Kai said. "You need to do something else."
"I want to help you!" Anna said.
"You can help me by freeing the people downstairs." Kai said. "Plus, Cade seems as though he's in a dazed state. He won't be getting up right this second."
"Are you sure about that?" Said Cade's voice within the room. He was still not visible, but he sounded confident. He was back up for sure. "Come in and face me, Kai!" Cade demanded.
Kai took a moment to ponder his next move. Anna was wondering what was on his mind.
"I'm going in." Kai said.
"Alone? Are you crazy?" Anna asked.
"Slightly." Kai joked. "I have a score to settle."
"I can help." Anna said.
"You can help by freeing the people downstairs." Kai said. "I didn't have time to free them. Good thing that I didn't or else you'd be dead."
"Do you think Cade is just going to let us walk out with them?" Anna said.
"He won't have a choice; he'll be busy with me." Kai said.
Thinking about it, Kai's plan was fairly logical. Kai would act as the distraction for Anna. She just hoped that he would be enough for Cade. If he and Elsa couldn't take Cade, then how could Kai take Cade by himself. Anna trusted Kai to win, though. He had to win. She couldn't bear thinking about the alternative outcome.
"Okay." Anna said. "But, how am I going to free them?"
Kai reached for his waist and grabbed his lucky dagger with a golden handle. He hated to part ways with it since the two have been through so many things together, but he knew that someone else required it more than he did. Kai held the blade of the dagger in his hand, offering the handle to Anna.
"Here." Kai said.
"You think that will open the locks?" Anna asked.
"I know it will open the locks." Kai said. "This thing has done it before and it can do it again."
Anna was skeptical of his plan. Then, she remembered that Olaf's carrot nose can open locked doors, and if that could do the trick, anything can. Anna grabbed the handle of the dagger and held it in her hand. It was slightly heavier than she thought it would be, which made her wonder how Kai could use it as if it weighed nothing. Then, she took into account that he was much stronger than she was.
"I won't be needing it." Kai said.
"Thanks..." Anna said. "Kai, I have to ask... What happened back there?"
"I knocked him down." Kai answered.
"No." Anna said. "I mean what happened back in the forest. You looked like you were losing you're mind. We assumed you were poisoned and I was afraid that you weren't going to make it."
Kai didn't know know exactly what to tell Anna. It all seemed like a dream to him when it happened. But, now that he was reminded, it came back to him as clear as glass. Now, it seemed more real than ever. It wasn't something that he wanted to remember. But, for Anna's sake, he had to.
"I honestly don't know what happened." Kai said. "These horrible things showed up in my eyes. Then, I, how should I put this, went into limbo. Then, I woke up and everything seemed fine."
Anna didn't know exactly what Kai meant by limbo. She was about to ask him to elaborate more but she decided against it. Every second they waste was a second closer to Arendelle's destruction, assuming Elsa doesn't do anything about it. Plus, she saw how pained Kai looked when telling her his story. She didn't want him to hurt like that anymore. That's where she drew the line.
"He should've striked by now." Anna said, referring to Cade, knowing something was odd.
"I don't like this either." Kai said. "I'm going to have to play along."
"Play to win." Anna said.
Kai smirked, as that was his plan. "Always." Then, his smirk quickly faded. "Anna, swear to me that you'll do what I'm going to ask of you."
Uh oh, Anna thought. This wasn't good news. She could tell how serious he was being. This was the first time Kai would make Anna swear on something. Of course, it was going to be important. He would also appreciate it greatly if she did swear to it.
"What is it?" Anna asked.
"Swear to me that when you free the monarchs, you won't look back." Kai said.
"What do you mean by that?" Anna asked, worried for Kai.
"You must leave immediately after they're freed." Kai said. "Take the horses and don't wait for me."
Anna thought Kai was joking. He couldn't seriously believe that she would leave a friend behind. Especially someone who was important to both her and Elsa. But, Kai showed no signs of joking in his face. He was dead serious on his request. It was a request he thought best kept.
"I won't leave you behind, Kai." Anna said. "We leave together. You make it sound like you're not coming back."
Kai didn't answer. He couldn't face Anna knowing how strongly she opposed him on the idea. He just stared at his feet, waiting for Anna to get the message. He wasn't joking when he said that, and Anna knew it. Kai knew the two ways the following events would end in. Either Kai is victorious, or Cade is. There would be no tie. Kai knew what facing Cade meant for him, and he had to take that chance.
"Oh no..." Anna said, knowing what Kai was thinking. "You are coming back, right?"
"I don't know..." Kai answered, truthfully. "This battle is going to end with only one winner. The question is who will it be?"
"Not him." Anna said. "Cade can never win."
"You still didn't swear to me." Kai said.
Anna opened her mouth, then paused. She was about to speak her mind on the plan but she knew that bigger things were at stake. She understood Kai's point of view, and Kai understood hers. She knew that he didn't want them to leave. If it were up to either of them, they would leave the palace together happily. But, unfortunately it was up to time to determine their plan. Kai thought up of the best plan for them. Probably the only plan they had to save Arendelle.
"I swear." Anna said, sadly. Kai nodded, glad to hear those two words. Anna prepared to run away and go downstairs. As she moved and before she stepped foot down on the stairs, Kai stopped her by calling her name. Anna turned around to see what he wanted.
"Whatever happens today..." Kai said. "For the record, and for what it's worth, it was a pleasure knowing you."
"Likewise." Anna said, hoping that this won't be the last conversation they would have. "You're like a brother to me."
"And you're like my sister." Kai said. "Whatever happens in there... If I don't come back... Please tell Elsa that I love her."
Anna stood there for a second thinking about what to say. Kai made it seem that he doubted that he was coming back. Anna knew a great challenge was ahead of him, and even for Kai it would be hard. But, she didn't want this to feel like the end.
"You can tell her yourself once you get back." Anna said. She didn't add "if you got back". She was told to think positive. "Oh, and when you're in there... Don't get cocky." Anna said.
Anna then started to run down the stairs with Kai's dagger in her hand. Kai then turned around, facing the room, ready to fight.
"No promises." Kai said.
Meanwhile... After Kai blocked Cade's attack...
The doors downstairs on the first floor of the palace slammed open. Rapunzel, who was still tied up, was startled by the sound. Not only Rapunzel, but most of the other trapped people were startled as well. No one was expecting anyone else to visit that day. Kai, Anna, and Rapunzel were unexpected enough. They thought that Kai would be the one to free them, but he just rushed upstairs when he found that Cade was not present. He didn't even acknowledge Rapunzel's presence when he entered. Though she was slightly upset, she was glad he went up. She didn't know what Cade was about to do to Anna.
Rapunzel couldn't see who the newcomers were at first. All she could see were their silhouettes in the shining sun. She was able to see three figures, though. Two were human sized and vaguely male. The other was much smaller than them. It stood smaller than a child's size. But, it was more rounded than the others. Literally. It looked like it was made of circles. Only one person fit that description to Rapunzel.
Luckily, for Rapunzel, she had her gag removed by Anna.
"Olaf?" Rapunzel asked.
The silhouettes came closer, almost at a running speed. It was soon obvious who the new people were. Rapunzel was glad that they weren't at all hostile. It was nice seeing some friendly faces. Eugene ran straight towards Rapunzel while Kristoff ran to the side, observing the captured monarchs. Eugene kneeled in front of Rapunzel.
"Tied up, huh?" Eugene said. "Did someone do this to you or is this one of our roleplays?"
Rapunzel made the "ah ehm" sound people made when clearing their throats. She pointed her head toward the direction of her parents. Eugene looked over at the King and Queen of Corona with unamused looks on their faces. Perhaps it was a bad idea sharing a bedroom secret to them. Not only them, but everyone in the room.
Eugene blushed. "Hey Mom! Hey Dad! Funny seeing you guys here."
The still had unamused looks on their faces. If there was a cricket around, now would be the time for it to make it's noise.
"Let's just pretend you didn't say that." Rapunzel said.
"Yeah..." Eugene agreed. Eugene took out a knife he took off of a Bandit he encountered earlier and used it to cut Rapunzel free starting with cutting her hands free first and then her ankles. Eugene unsheathed his knife and stood up, Rapunzel following his example.
"Is this the part where you say you're disappointed in me?" Rapunzel asked. "Where you say you-"
Eugene grabbed Rapunzel by wrapping his arms around her back and brought her closer to him. He instantly leaned down and kissed her in the lips. Rapunzel, confused to why he was doing that though not complaining, shut her mouth. It felt good to feel his lips press against hers again. She missed the feeling. During her journey, it felt like a hundred years since she had kissed him.
Everyone in the room looked at the couple in awe. They thought it was cute, even Rapunzel's parents. It almost made them forget the fact that they were chained to the walls of the Ice Palace. Eugene and Rapunzel broke their kiss even though Olaf was enjoying the sight.
"I missed you." Eugene said to his wife.
"I missed you too." Rapunzel said.
The couple smiled at each other and stared into each other's eyes. Never again did they want to be separated from each other. The first time was a mistake now that Rapunzel thought about it.
"This is nice and all..." Ander said. Rapunzel, Eugene, Kristoff, and Olaf all looked over at Ander who was already un-gagged. "But if my brother is going to start a war like Anna said he was, then we're running out of time."
"He's right." Rapunzel said.
"We should get you guys out of here." Kristoff said.
Kristoff took out his personal knife which he usually carried around with him. It wasn't a good of a weapon like Kai's weapons were, but it would suffice to free the monarchs. He knew that it would be easy to break the locks on the chains on the wrist of the people in the room. Kristoff immediately ran to Ander first and stuck the edge of his knife in the lock of the right wrist of Ander. After shaking it around for a bit, the thing holding Ander opened and fell to the ground. Ander's right hand was now free. Kristoff then did the same thing to Ander's left hand, freeing him completely.
Ander, who was kneeling, fell forward but his hands prevented him from collapsing on the floor.
Eugene then ran to the opposite side of the room from where Kristoff was and followed his example by doing the same thing. Olaf then proceeded to help by doing the exact same thing as his friends were doing, but instead of a knife, used his carrot nose.
As the people were freed one by one, they removed their own gags. It felt great for all of them to be able to move again. Although they needed a minute to get used to being able to move their bodies again, they all seemed to be in perfect condition. Rapunzel was unfortunately unable to help the guys as she had no tools to free them with. It was such a shame as well since the pace they were freeing people were slightly slow.
While in the middle of freeing people, Kristoff then realized something. Someone was missing in the equation.
"Where's Anna." Kristoff asked Rapunzel.
Before Rapunzel could answer what she knew, Anna's voice replied.
"I'm here." Anna's voice said. Everyone looked up to where they believed to be the origin of the voice. They found Anna standing on the elevated area where the two staircases met. She stood with Kai's dagger in her hand, but that detail was so insignificant no one cared to notice.
She smiled when she saw Kristoff. Anna quickly started to run down the stairs on the right side of the room from where she was standing. In her excitement, she almost slipped but was luckily able to prevent slipping. She soon found herself jumping in Kristoff's arms. He then picked her up and carried her around while she giggled. After he put her down, she put her hand on his cheek. She felt overjoyed seeing Kristoff again. He didn't look mad at her at all. While holding back a tear, Anna brought Kristoff's head closer to hers for a kiss.
"I promised myself I wouldn't cry." Olaf said. Then, Olaf broke his promise. Tears started to rain out of Olaf's eyes, happy to see everyone together again.
Kristoff and Anna broke their kiss and looked down at the poor Olaf. Kristoff managed a chuckled while Anna ran to hug the snowman. Anna provided Olaf with what he loved the most; warm hugs.
"It's good to see you, Olaf." Anna said.
"It's good to see you too, Anna." Olaf said. The two broke their hug. "Come on." Olaf said. "We have a job to do."
Anna nodded, looking down at her given dagger. Now, there were four people who were able to free the kidnapped. That would make things easier and greatly increase the speed at which the people were freed. Only about a third of the people were freed when Anna showed up, meaning that there were still about twenty more people to go. They worked as hard as they could to free them, and hopefully it was enough. It would still take a long while for them to reach Arendelle on horseback, meaning they had to work with haste.
"Where's Sven?" Anna asked Kristoff.
Outside, both Sven and Maximus had stuck their tongues on the railing of the icy stairs.
"He and Maximus are outside." Eugene answered for Kristoff.
"Where's Kai?" Rapunzel asked Anna.
"He's here too?" Kristoff asked.
Rapunzel nodded. "He was with us until we were separated. I saw him run up the stairs."
Everyone looked over at Anna who prepared to tell them the bad news. But before she started, they heard a monstrous roar coming from above.
Meanwhile... After Kai talked to Anna...
Kai walked into the room with his right hand over the handle of his sheathed sword. He walked slowly, expecting Cade to jump out any second and attack him. Cade had the element of surprise in his hand. All Kai had was anticipation. This was where Cade would make the first move, and Kai knew that. All Kai had to do was be ready for it.
Kai heard no sounds whatsoever. That was unsettling. He knew for a fact that Cade was in the room with him. The question was where was Cade? It was likely that Cade had hidden behind the snow pile so that Kai couldn't see him, but that would be too obvious. Maybe that's what Cade wanted Kai to think... Cade, like Kai, was unpredictable. If the two worked together, they would've made the deadliest team. But, they weren't working together. Kai wouldn't have it any other way.
Kai approached the snow pile and walked past it. He found that Cade was, unsurprisingly, not in the same spot he was when Kai last left him. Kai assumed that Cade had gotten up already when he heard his voice earlier. But, where was Cade? Then, from behind, Kai was kicked, forcing him to fall forward and hit the ground. Kai luckily didn't hit his head. His body slid through the ice until it went into a complete stopped. Kai jumped up and looked towards Cade who was standing next to the snow pile. Kai stood with his back turned on the balcony.
"There you are." Kai said.
"I have to admit." Cade said. "You're little talk with Anna was touching. It brought a tear to my eye."
"Funny." Kai said, sarcastically. He then unsheathed his sword and held it in his right hand.
"Tsk. Tsk. Tsk." Cade said. "You know, Kai, you could've joined me! You could've been one of us! You chose the path with a queen. I should've known you'd give in to nobility quickly. You stranded from my path! You chose a path of what you call righteousness. You chose a path of nobility." Cade looked down at Kai's left hand and found it injured greatly. "You chose a path of pain."
"Are you going to fight me, or what?" Kai asked.
"Why should I bother?" Cade asked. "My friend here can do it for me."
"Your friend?"
Then, the snow pile next to Cade started to move. The side of it shot out of the rest of it like an arm stretching. A hand at the end of the arm became visible, and slammed the ground. A head then shot up from the snow pile as if it appeared from nowhere. The eyes were hollow as there was nothing there. Another arm shot off and slammed the ground. The slams were too weak to be felt or heard on the floor below. The giant snowman then started to rise up and stand on it's own two legs.
Kai gulped as the snowman towered over him. Very few things scared him, and though the snowman didn't necessarily frighten him, he was a tad intimidated. Just a tad. Kai took a step back as the giant snowman took a step forward.
"This is my ace." Cade said. "Say hello."
Kai ignored Cade as he was too busy focusing on the giant monster in front of him.
"You must be Marshmallow." Kai assumed.
Marshmallow nodded in a way giant scary snowmen nodded.
"They told me about you." Kai said. Kai then turned over to Cade who was standing next to Marshmallow. "How'd you come across this guy?" Kai asked Cade.
"When Lilith and I went to this palace, we found we weren't the first ones there. Marshmallow here is dumb, but he's not unreasonable." Cade said. "I offered him my protection in return for his."
"Yeah, something dumb would make a deal with you." Kai said.
Cade managed a chuckle. "Things like this is why some people want you dead." Cade said. Cade then raised his finger at Kai. "Marshmallow. Kill."
Marshmallow then managed a loud, monstrous roar as icy spike grew around his body. The roar could be heard miles away as it was so loud. Marshmallow grew large, sharp teeth. Giant spikes grew on his back. His icy fingers became much larger. Spikes then also grew on his giant knees. Kai gulped once again.
Marshmallow then took a quick step towards Kai. Kai then ran to his left, encouraging Marshmallow to follow him. Marshmallow was indeed quick, thanks to his magnificent size. One step from Marshmallow equaled five of those of a regular man's. Marshmallow covered the distance between he and Kai fairly quickly. With one step, he almost caught up to Kai. Cade just stood there and watched the show.
Kai ran to the wall, and so did Marshmallow. Marshmallow trotted with his hand reaching the ground in hopes of grabbing Kai. Unfortunately for the snowman, he wasn't looking where he was going. At the last second, Kai turned to the right, and Marshmallow, who wasn't looking where he was going, crashed into the wall of ice. Marshmallow fell backward and landed on his back. Large cracks appeared all around the wall where Marshmallow hit. It was obvious that if this continued, the palace would no longer be able to stand.
Marshmallow turned to where Kai was standing and refocused himself on his prey. Marshmallow quickly got up and soon looked like he wasn't down in the first place. One had to admit, it was a little cramped for him but he still had space.
"I don't want to fight you!" Kai told Marshmallow.
Marshmallow took a step forward, swiping down at Kai with his right hand. Kai easily jumped up and dodged the attack. Kai looked smug and confident after he dodged the attack, but Marshmallow used his left hand to smack Kai. Kai then flew across to the other side of the room, hitting the wall painfully. Cracks also soon appeared on the wall.
"Ow." Kai groaned.
Kai quickly got up and turned back towards Marshmallow. "I'm not your enemy!" Kai said. Marshmallow started to run at Kai with his right arm extended and his hand open in hopes of grabbing Kai. Before Kai was under Marshmallow's grasp, Kai jumped forward and landed on Marshmallow's forearm. Kai then launched himself up and off Marshmallow, landing behind the snowman.
"Cade is your enemy!" Kai said.
"Shut up!" Marshmallow demanded. Marshmallow spun around with a raised fist. He punched down at Kai who easily side stepped the attack. Marshmallow punched the floor, cracks appearing in the ice. Soon, the entire floor was covered in cracks. The place wasn't going to hold out for long. Kai then ran out of Marshmallow's shadow, a good distance away from him.
Kai easily could've destroyed Marshmallow as snow wasn't very strong around fire. But, Kai had a feeling Marshmallow would be far more useful if he could somehow be used against Cade. Cade was their true enemy, no matter what Cade told Marshmallow. Knowing that Marshmallow was dumb as well, Kai could somehow use that to his advantage.
Marshmallow started to run at Kai with his hand open, ready to grab Kai. Kai, this time, stood still, not even moving an inch. Before Marshmallow could grab him, Kai blurted out "Elsa needs a favor!"
Marshmallow grew a confused look on his face. He then took his hand away from Kai, much to Cade's dismay, who by the way, was leaning on the wall on the doorway.
"Finish it!" Cade ordered.
Marshmallow ignored Cade's order and looked down at Kai. Of course, Marshmallow will always and forever be loyal to his creator.
"What kind of favor?" Marshmallow asked.
Kai smiled. This actually might work, he thought. "You see, I'm a really good friend of Elsa's. The two of us are very close." Kai said. "She trusts me completely."
"Okay?" Marshmallow said, confused.
"And the thing is..." Kai said. "Elsa really doesn't like bad guys. She hates bad guys. If she hayes bad guys, that means you hate bad guys, right?"
Marshmallow nodded.
"What are you doing?!" Cade asked. The question could've been for either one of the guys as Cade was wondering why Marshmallow didn't just attack Kai and where Kai was going with this. Cade's confusion slightly amused Cade.
"Elsa says Cade is a bad guy." Kai said, pointing at Cade.
Marshmallow then turned away from Kai and looked at a shocked Cade. Cade gave both Kai and Marshmallow a dirty look that told both of them that they were going to pay. Kai gave Cade a rather smug look as if he had already won the battle. Kai liked his chances against Cade now, but knowing Cade, it wouldn't be that easy. He would have something up his sleeve for sure.
Marshmallow tool giant steps towards Cade while Cade was confidently and casually walking towards Marshmallow. Cade unsheathed one of his swords while he put his hand into his upper clothing. He then pulled out a ball; one of the bombs Bandits carried around. Then, quickly, Cade then started sprint towards Marshmallow, ready to fight. When Cade was close enough, Marshmallow swiped his hand on the ground trying to smack Cade. Cade then jumped before he was hit. He hopped onto Marshmallow's forearm and then jumped with his sword ahead of him at Marshmallow's torso.
Cade soon jumped into Marshmallow's snowy body through the stomach area. Marshmallow was confused as to what Cade was doing. Marshmallow scratched his stomach trying to get Cade out of him. Unfortunately, Marshmallow wasn't able to get Cade out. Cade then jumped out of Marshmallow's body through the back. A giant hole was now inside of Marshmallow, though he was still alive.
Marshmallow spun around and found Cade standing with a sword in one hand. But, there was no bomb in his other hand. Where had it gone?
Marshmallow then raised his arm up as if he was going to crush Cade where he stood. Then, Marshmallow exploded. Snow flew all over the room. His arm fell down to the ground and turned into a small, long pile of snow. The body of Marshmallow was complete gone. All that was left of him was the snow splattered everywhere. Marshmallow was no more. That explained where the bomb went.
Cade found Kai standing a few meters in front of door out. Kai had wide eyes, shocked at what Cade had just done. If Cade could easily take out something like Marshmallow,Mehta chance did he have?
"I never really liked Marshmallow, anyway." Cade said. "I'm glad he gone. To be honest, he took up so much space."
"You don't happen to have anymore explosives on you, do you?" Kai asked.
Cade shook his head. "It's your lucky day."
The two we're standing about fifty meters away from each other on opposite ends of the room. Cade stood in front of the balcony while Kai stood in front of the giant doorway. The battlefield was clear for them. It was only a matter of time before the fight begun.
"You still have another choice here." Kai said. "Give up now and come in quietly."
"Or what?" Cade asked.
"We'll have to see." Kai said.
"Is that so?" Cade asked. "You know, Kai, I thought you an honorable man. But, honorable men don't fight with an advantage such as your powers."
Kai didn't know what to think. He wanted so badly to take down Cade no matter what he had to do, but Cade had a point. What kind of honor would Kai have if he fought unfairly. Cade was only human, although some view him as a god without powers. Fighting Cade with powers would make Cade think Kai is a coward who hides behind fire. Kai had to show Cade that he wasn't a coward. Kai had to prove himself that he was more than just a guy with fire. This meant one thing; no weapons. Just man verses man.
"I won't use my powers in that case." Kai said, unsheathing his sword.
"You sure about that?" Cade asked with both of his swords now in his hand.
"Positive." Kai answered. "But I only have one weapon. Honorable men would play with even gear."
Cade then turned around and threw one of his swords out the balcony. It flew outside and then fell into the abyss below the stairs that led to the palace.
"Very well." Cade said.
"This is going to end today." Kai said.
The two just stared at each other for a moment with anger and determination in each of their eyes. They each waited for the other to make the first move. No one was ready to make the first move, but it was inevitable.
Both of their fighting skills were more than just extraordinary. They were demons in thebattlefield although one of them was more lethal when fighting than the other. The next fight was going to determine who was truly the strongest. They were titans to the weak and the clash of the titans was about to begin.
They were two wolves among sheep who must fight in order to own the sheep. They were titans among soldiers as they were truly the strongest. They were an inferno among fire.
They were gods among men, but at the end of the day, one shall rise, and one shall fall.
To be continued in Chapter XXXVI: Judgment Day Part III: Gods Among Men
Author's Note: Although this chapter might've not been as action packed as you thought it would be, I still hoped you like it. The next chapter will have the confrontation between Kai and Cade (finally). I think Judgment Day will probably end in part 4 or 5. I'm also glad that the review issue was fixed. Now your new reviews will show up on the sit normally again. Speaking of reviews, please write one or a comment to let me know what you think of the chapter. Ciao.
