Hello once again, Lord Pugsy here. I cannot apologise enough for the lateness of this chapter submission. Issues of terrible weather, abysmal internet, a weird event known as GISHWHES and just general writer's block are among the reasons. I also realise I created a bit of a dilemma for myself. After submitting the previous chapter, I suddenly found myself under tremendous pressure to deliver on this one. I also seem to have confused some readers regarding Danny and Ember's kiss. At no point have I stated that this was a Danny/Sam fanfiction. Be that as it may, I have also not said this will end up being a Danny/Ember fanfiction. Only time will tell. Hopefully, there will be a shorter gap between this and the next one. Without further ado, here is chapter thirteen of A Phantom Apocalypse. I own nothing but the plot.

Danny wasn't entirely sure what was going on. First, he was assuring Ember that he would never let her down, but then he was thinking about how beautiful Ember was, especially her lips. His mind traced back to every moment he had spent with the Ghost Rocker since he returned from the Ghost Zone, and how he had loved spending time with her. He wasn't in control anymore as his face began to creep closer to Ember's; he just had the uncontrollable urge to kiss her.

What am I thinking? Danny asked himself as he involuntary got closer. If I kiss her, she's going to permanently relocate my testicles. Wait, what? Is she leaning in too? Why is this happening? I must be dreaming. What about Sam? That last thought was completely struck from Danny's mind as he closed the gap and softly kissed Ember. The moment their lips connected, Danny didn't know who he was or where he was; he was only concentrating on the wondrous feeling passing through him, starting at his lips and ending at his toes. He just knew that if Dani saw them now, she would be squealing so loud, every Infected within a ten block radius would descend upon them. Wanting to see her beautiful face, Danny slowly opened his eyes, only for shock to run through his entire body. He broke the kiss off, not noticing the scared and hurt look on the Ghost Rocker's face, as he stared at the horror over her shoulder. He barely registered that Ember was now talking to him.

"Look, Danny," she said nervously. "I'm sorry, I didn't…" Ember trailed off when she realised that he wasn't looking at her, but at something behind her. When she saw that the Ghost Shield protecting the school was gone, Ember's jaw effectively hit the floor.

"It's not possible" Danny said quietly, disentangling himself from Ember as he stood up. "I gave them vials of my ectoplasm not twenty minutes ago. This shouldn't be happening." Ember could do nothing but nod in agreement. Her mind was still in a semi-mush state from the kiss they just shared. Even when the screams began, which the two of them could clearly pick up from where they were stood, they were at a standstill. After about five minutes, Danny finally shook himself from his stupor and went to gather the four ghosts sleeping below. The moment the other four ghosts reached the roof, and took in the scene before them, their jaws dropped to join Ember's.

"What happened?" Krystal asked, astonished.

"We don't know." Danny said. "Ember and I were just sat up here not doing much. The next thing we know, the Shield's gone." Ember tried to hide the look of hurt which flashed across her face, and was partially successful; only Kitty saw. She would have to talk with her best friend when this mess got sorted out.

"What do we do?" Johnny asked. All eyes turned to Danny for the answer. What he decided to do, they would follow without hesitation. Danny on the other hand, was torn. Half of him wanted the humans to suffer as much as possible; the amount of hate and ridicule his friends had faced for the past year disgusted him. Especially as the ghosts had nothing to do with the apocalypse in the first place. However, the other half was currently being governed by his hero complex. He truly didn't think he would be able to live with all the deaths that could happen on his conscious. Danny exhaled sharply and angrily as two rings sprouted at his waist, turning him into Phantom. When he turned around, the five ghosts were met with blazing green eyes.

"I can't let them die," he started bluntly. "As much as I hate them, my family are still in that school. And I would never forgive myself if I let them die. I know how you guys feel about the humans, and I can't ask you to help if you don't want to. Believe me, after how they've treated you, I won't think any less of you if you stay behind." The ghosts in question turned to look at each other and seemed to be having a silent conversation amongst themselves, leaving Danny to look on with apprehension. After a few minutes, they faced forwards with looks of resolve on their faces, although Ember's held a little of something else which Danny couldn't quite put his finger on. Before he could question it, Dani stepped forwards.

"What do you want us to do?"

The School Guards stationed out front, with Dash and Kwan at the helm, felt as if they were about to have heart attacks. Firstly, the Shield had inexplicably turned off, but the guards had had drills if such an occasion should occur, so under any other circumstances, they felt confident in their abilities to protect the school. Secondly, they watched as more and more Infected could be seen at the end of all three streets which led directly to the school; but due to the previous point, they still would have felt confident. If not, they had the safety of the school to barricade themselves in to come up with a contingency plan whilst laying down cover-fire. However, it was the third problem which had them on the verge of cardiac arrest. None of their ecto-blasters were working. When the trigger was pulled, all that happened was a high-pitched whirring sound before all semblance life spluttered out of existence with a puff of smoke. What made matters worse, all their weapon caches were under extreme lock and key. It had seemed like a good idea at the time; it prevented any rebels from acquiring them and shooting at the ghosts. Now, however, they were beginning to regret that decision. It would take half an hour to break into them. The school might not be there in thirty minutes at the rate the group of Infected were growing, especially as they had started moving towards the school.

"This is the way the world really ends," Dash said quietly to Kwan and Beth who was stood slightly behind him, his eyes wide in fear. "Not with a bang or a whimper, but with zombies breaking down the freaking front door." The moment the words had left his mouth, there was a bright green flash in front of them. Once his eyes had recovered from the sudden blindness, Dash, as well as the other guards present who hadn't run away, were shocked to see the six ghosts in front of them; Dash didn't know whether to laugh or cry. Judging from Danny's expression, he was set to laugh at Dash's.

"Fancy some help Dash?" He asked; Dash could do little but nod. Danny's eyes turned steely as his voice took on a tone of authority.

"Judging from the sight of all your weapons on the ground, I think I can safely assume that none of them work?" Danny asked. All the guards nodded in confirmation. "Okay. Valerie told me about the weapon caches and their locks. None of you will be of any help out here without weapons, so I want half of you to do anything and everything to break into them. The other half will set about sealing all entrance points to the school with anything you can find. Leave the one that leads to the locker rooms though. Partly because we're going to need an exit in case there's a breach, but also so you can get out to defend the place when you get your guns. Now go!" The guards about-turned and rushed into the school, leaving just the ghosts outside. All the while, the Infected were steadily getting nearer to the school. They were just about close enough for the groans to be audible over the screams coming from inside the school. Danny turned back to the ghosts.

"What do you want us to do?" Kitty asked, determined.

"I want Dani and Krystal to help out with the entrances and exits. Just use simple ice to reinforce the barriers. Get back here when you're done." Both ghosts nodded and flew into the school. A sudden crack broke Danny's concentration. Turning to look at one of the approaching hordes, Danny watched as one of the Infected had stumbled and was now in the process of being trampled by the oncoming mass. Thinking quickly, Danny turned back to his friends.

"Kitty and Johnny, I want you two to find my family and protect them." Danny said, a hint of worry creeping into his voice. "Be sure to get the Doc and Victoria as well. Something tells me they're just a big a target as my family. Get them all in one place and blast away anything that tries to stop you." Nodding, they set to work, leaving only Ember and Danny, the former becoming increasingly uncomfortable. Neither one of them had spoken about the kiss, and Ember still wasn't sure where they stood on that matter.

"What about me Danny?" Ember asked, finally finding her voice. She was also slightly annoyed that she had been left until last, which Danny didn't miss.

"I'm sorry Ember, but I couldn't have the others hearing this. It would distract them too much."

This definitely intrigued Ember, but she refused to let it show. "What are you talking about?"

"I need you to find David and/or Paul," Danny said bluntly. "I can't help but think that one or both of them are behind this. My parents and Tucker are master inventors, mechanics and technicians. There is no way they would let this happen. This ultimately leads to the assumption that one of two of the most annoying people on this planet since the Box Ghost, are responsible for this. Personally, my moneys on Paul." Letting Ember decide, Danny took the opportunity to see how close the Infected had gotten. Danny's stomach dropped when two of the hordes were less than a hundred metres away; the third wasn't that far behind.

"Ember, please?" Danny asked, a sense of urgency evident in his tone.

Ember sighed as she looked into his eyes. The very same eyes she had been admiring no less than twenty minutes ago. "Fine." She said, as she began to fly inside, only for Danny to grab her hand, causing her to face him.

"Please be careful," he said, his voice full of care and concern. Ember didn't trust herself to speak, so she nodded and flew inside, leaving Danny to face the oncoming army. Taking a deep breath, Danny raised his hood and prepared himself.

The entire school was on the verge of mass hysteria. People were running down the corridors, children were screaming and no one knew what to do to stop their impending doom. There was only one group of people who knew what they were doing, and were far too calm despite what was currently happening outside. Paul and his followers were currently waiting in the Band Room for David's signal to commence their mission, but Paul was beginning to get nervous.

Where in the name of all that is holy is that stupid soldier? Paul asked himself as he gripped his working weapon tightly. We should have heard from him ten minutes ago. I just hope the others have completed their missions. We don't need any complications tonight. For the first time since Danny arrived at the school, things were starting to go in his favour. His disciples had completed all their missions within moments of the ghosts entering the school. Dani and Krystal had just finished sealing up the doors and the large windows with ice. Then, for good measure, Krystal came up with the idea of creating ice sculptures in the shape of all the ghosts to 'guard' the exits. Just to really hit home who was saving who, much to the praise of Dani. Looking proudly that their work, they failed to notice footsteps behind them, and by the time they realised they weren't alone, they were already being sucked into a blue light. Kitty and Johnny burst into the Chemistry Room to look for the Fentons, only to be dismayed that the room was empty. Before they could explore further, they too were surrounded by a blue light, before everything turned black. Ember entered the Library to search for Paul, only to be met with the same fate. Jacob smiled as he capped the thermos that now contained a screaming Ember.

He pulled out a radio. "It's done." He said into it, smiling gleefully.

"You're positive?" Paul's voice replied.

"Affirmative," Jacob said. "Isaac and Mary have all reported in. The Sinners have all been contained. I am now on my way to throw them in with the others."

"Fantastic work Jacob." Paul said. "Absolutely brilliant. I can personally guarantee your place with the Almighty when your time comes. Phantom will be far too occupied outside to know what's going on inside. Carry on with your next objective." Jacob beamed at the praise as he left the Library, making his way to what used to be the Staff Room. Upon his arrival, he greeted Mary and Isaac, both of which were handling Fenton thermoses, and entered the room, where he smiled at the sight. Bound and gagged on the far side of the room, were the Fentons, Sam, Tucker and Valerie. The trio had been woefully disappointed at how quickly they had been trussed up. The key was to convince them that one group of them were in trouble and required urgent assistance. One modified Fenton Taser later, and all six of them were incapacitated. The trio jovially made their way over to their prisoners, completely unfazed by the cold glares being sent at them.

"We thought you might enjoy some company," Jacob said as he rolled his thermos towards their feet, stopping only a few feet shy of them.

"Yeah. We wouldn't want you to get bored in here." Mary said, chuckling slightly as she and Isaac both tossed their thermoses. The hostages could only grunt at them whilst they squirmed, causing all three of them to laugh. "I'm sure these Sinner's screams will be more than sufficient to keep you six entertained for the time being."

"I wouldn't worry about that for too long though," Isaac said ominously, a wicked glint in his eyes. "When the Purge is complete, everything you know will be nothing more than a bloodstain in the Almighty's plan. And that is one cleaning task I am more than willing to take part in." With that, the three disciples left, laughing as they went. The screams of fear in the school began to increase, as did the screams of frustration emanating from the thermoses, leaving the captives worried that they'll never see the sun again. Despite being a positive turning point in Paul's grand plan, the seeds of doubt had begun to sprout in his mind regarding the lacking presence of David and his soldiers. He decided to take matters into his own hands.

Meanwhile, outside, Danny was running on autopilot. Beam after beam shot from Danny's palms as he tried to hold back the hordes of Infected. Due to the lack of available food over the past couple of days, Danny's energy levels were in danger of depleting. He couldn't use his Wail, no matter how much he wanted to; it would end this battle in less than a minute. However, he really didn't want to pass out afterwards and be at the mercy of any strays. He was having to rely on a combination of ecto-blasts and light telekinetic blasts to battle his way through the hordes. If someone were closer enough to look, they would see the green eyes penetrating from the shadows of his hood beginning to dull as fatigue threatened to set in. Danny was currently using the same plan that he used the last time he was in Woodbury; he had frozen the three roads that led to the school, which would hopefully buy Danny more time for the guards to get their weapons. At best though, it was only buying him minutes. He didn't want to say it out loud, but he was beginning to worry about his ghostly friends. It had been nearly fifteen minutes and none of them had reported in; Danny was starting to become nervous. Realising he hadn't been paying attention, Danny whipped his head around and sent out a weak wave of telekinetic energy; just enough to send about twenty Infected back onto themselves. Just as he was beginning to give up hope, Danny came to a decision. He was about to go against a promise that he made himself when he first got home. Sighing heavily, he spied an upturned heavy-goods truck half way down the street, thinking that would work perfectly. Using his telekinesis, the truck gained a green aura, and was brought over to him. Turning it so that it was facing the street sideways, Danny threw it as hard as he could down the street, causing it to barrel roll, crushing hundreds of Infected in seconds. Undeterred from the carnage he wrought, Danny created a great wall of ice that spanned the width of the street and used his mental abilities once again to force it down the street. Danny turned to the final street, with its current Infected horde slowing their pace. It appeared that, despite what the infection had done to their bodies, there was still a slight semblance of self-preservation left in their brains to realise that they were going up against a superior force. Thinking quickly, Danny decided to expend a large amount of energy for his final attack. Once again, the Halfa decided to adopt a move he had used nearly a week previous at the hotel in Glendale. Instead of making just a simple snowball infused with ectoplasm, Danny created a boulder-size sphere of ice and launched it at the approaching force. The moment it made contact, the ectoplasm within the ball of ice exploded outwards, causing the entire street to completely freeze, including those trying to walk down it. Now that the threat had been neutralised, Danny allowed himself to drop to his knees as he fought as hard as he possibly could against the rings which were threatening to appear at his waist, his hood falling in the process as the darkness endeavoured to take his vision. Taking deep and slow breaths, he just about managed to prevent the urge from overcoming him, though he still felt very weak. Just as the dark spots began to clear from his eyes, Danny heard the thundering steps of the guards running around the side of the building, hoping to do their part in stopping the threat. Instead, what they found was a scene which closely resembled a snow-covered No Man's Land, with a half-dead teen looking about read to keel over.

"Hey Dash," Danny said weakly, as the blonde ex-jock made his way over to him. "Glad you could make it. Took you long enough though."

Despite the situation, Dash couldn't help but chuckle. "Hey Fenton. Looks like we weren't needed." He said as he gazed around the street. "But from the looks of it, you used up way too much energy." "You can say that again," Kwan said as he walked up. "You look like crap Fenton."

Danny reciprocated the laugh, albeit half-heartedly. "I think I'll take that as an insult." He said as he stood up shakily. "I'll have you know I am the correct shade of paleness for a ghost of my age." That gathered a few titters from the audience that had gathered around him.

"All jokes aside though, you doing okay?" Dash asked, concerned as he helped support the teen ghost. It was harder than it looked, as Danny had acquired a fair amount of muscle, and he was struggling to support his weight.

Danny exhaled sharply. "No idea. Ask me in about an hour. But right now, I could really do with some food. Like a sandwich. Or maybe thirteen."

Dash laughed. "I'm sure we could scrape something together."

"Good," Danny said as his strength began to return to his legs. "Any word from my family or the ghosts?"

Dash frowned. "No. But then again, we weren't really looking. We were too focussed on getting some weapons that actually worked. Not that we needed them, mind you."

"Yeah, I suppose." Danny conceded. He took a final look around at the damage he had caused, and was momentarily concerned when he didn't feel any regret, but now wasn't the time to dwell on that. "Come on then. Let's head inside. Hopefully the rest of the evening will be a bit quieter." The screams that suddenly pierced through the air immediately after he said this, just showed that the universe immensely enjoyed proving Danny wrong.

Ignoring the protests from Dash, Danny summoned up all his strength and flew into the school at such a speed, it would have made a bullet jealous. Following the screams, Danny found himself along the corridor which led to the Gym, but from the looks of it, the teen thought he had stumbled across World War Three. The end closest to him saw five members of the School Guard shooting ecto-blasts from working weapons down the hallway, whilst taking cover behind a crudely made barrier of chairs and desks. The screams, he noted, were coming from the Gymnasium, where Danny presumed the occupants of the school were being holed up. A stray, green beam shot pass Danny's ear, breaking through his thoughts. Floating down to a crouching position, Danny situated himself behind someone he recognised. It was Trent. One of the people who was on Jazz's R&R team who didn't inherently hate him.

"Mind filling me in?" Danny asked, causing Trent to jump in fright.

"Jesus Christ!" He shouted, wide eyed. "I'm already fighting to stay alive. No need to scare the life out of me." Before Danny could retort, a barrage of shots impacted their barrier, causing it to creak and groan worryingly. It wasn't going to hold out for much longer.

"Just tell me what the hell is going on." Danny demanded, throwing a blind ecto-blast down the corridor. He gave a small smile when he heard a yelp of pain.

A blonde girl about the same age as him from the looks of her whom Danny didn't recognise decided to answer for him. "We don't have fucking clue what's going on. One moment we're ushering people into the Gym to get out of harm's way in case the Rotters breached the doors, the next, we're under attack!" Another girl, a redhead this time but older, decided to add her two cents whilst the blonde went back to shooting.

"They've done something to their guns," she said, blowing a strand of hair out of her face. "They've somehow managed to make them lethal. One civilian wasn't fast enough and got caught in the cross fire as they went through the door. The beam went straight through the back of their head and out the front." Danny turned and saw the blood splatter across the closed door and growled menacingly as the temperature in the corridor began to drop. She would have said more, but a shot burst through the barrier and hit her shoulder. Screaming in pain, she dropped her weapon as the other four guards sent a bombardment of ecto-blasts back towards their attackers. Rushing to her side, Danny coated his hands with his ice powers, before pressing down on her shoulder. She winced at the initial contact, but soon the feeling of relief slowly made its way around her body. Giving Danny a small smile of thanks, she picked up her weapon and propped it on top of the barrier so she only had to use one hand. Danny smiled at her tenacity, but that was quickly replaced with a burning rage when more shots rang out. Danny was now pissed. Shocking the people huddling behind the barrier in front of him, Danny stood up and made his way down the corridor. Either through shock or awe, the aggressors suddenly stopped shooting, allowing the teen ghost to reach the halfway point unhindered. It was only at that point did they realise what they were doing, or rather, what they weren't doing, and started their assault again, much to Danny's amusement. However, his amusement was cut short when his ectoplasm-covered hand, designed to catch the ecto-blast, erupted in pain. Swearing loudly, Danny put up a strong shield with his free hand which covered the entire hallway, so he could inspect his injured one. To his horror, the Halfa saw a small lump of metal protruding from his hand as ectoplasm flowed freely from the wound.

Bullets, Danny thought angrily. The bastards are using live, fucking ammunition. That's it. They are so going down now. If someone were to ask the people shooting what scared them the most in the entire world, a few days ago, they would've said coming face to face with an Infected. Now though, they were watching Danny march down the corridor towards them with a six foot long scythe, made entirely of ice, deflecting every single shot coming his way as if it were nothing. With every step, the corridor got colder and colder.

Fear set in as they wished they were facing over a hundred Infected, rather than one Danny. Before they knew what had happened, Danny was on them. With eleven, impossibly fast slashes, the attackers found their bodies slowly being encased in ice. Within seconds, they all found themselves in individual blocks of ice, with only their heads untouched. Danny loomed over them menacingly as he realised that they were all Paul's disciples. He levitated their guns in front of their faces, before quickly super charging them, until they were nothing more than a molten mess on the floor. Seeing that he had their undivided attention, Danny walked up to the closest one.

"Where. Is. My. Family?" He asked menacingly.

The disciple in question gulped before she gave Danny a defiant look. "I'll never-." Danny abruptly roundhouse kicked the block of ice, sending it flying down the remainder of the hallway, where everyone heard a sickening crack. The Guards made their way up to Danny as he rounded on another disciple; this one failed to hide how petrified he was.

Frost began to form around Danny's feet as he glared at him, his scythe perilously close to his face. "Do I have to repeat the question?"

The disciple shook his head furiously, his eyes never leaving the freezing blade in front of his face. "They're in the Staff Room." He said instantly, fear evident in his eyes. Without a word, Danny teleported to the corridor where the room in question was located. He knew he was going to regret that later, but he was too focused on finding his family to worry about that now. After absorbing his weapon, he kicked the door clean off its hinges; Danny entered the room to find his family trussed up like a sack of potatoes. Without breaking his stride, he raised his hand towards them and ripped off their bindings and raised them to their feet. In the blink of an eye, the Fenton women launched themselves forwards and clung to Danny, tears springing to their eyes. Without batting an eyelid, Danny focussed on Jack's staff, causing it to leap into his hands. Jack gave his son a nod of thanks as he was continually being smothered by his mom and sister, though he was doing a poor job disguising how relieved he was that they were safe. Once they had had their fill, it was Valerie and Sam's turn to throw themselves at Danny, relishing the fact that he had returned; Tucker was content with giving Danny a friendly pat on the back as he was otherwise occupied.

Finally extracting himself from the two girls, Danny spoke. "What happened?"

"It was Paul's lot." Tucker said, as he began to massage the stiffness out of his muscles. "They tricked us into thinking that one of us was in danger here. Naturally, we all came running, only to be bound and gagged. We never even saw it coming."

"What the hell was going on out there Danny?" Jazz asked urgently. "All we heard was screaming and shooting."

"The Shield was turned off." Danny said, looks of horror crossing everyone's faces.

"We've got to get out there." Sam said, heading for the door, only for Danny to grab her wrist.

"It's been taken care of." He said simply. "Though you might want to get someone over to the generator. You're going to need the Shield back up as soon as possible." As if on cue, the room was bathed in a green light as the Shield was reactivated; everyone in the room gave a sigh of relief

"What about the shooting though?" Maddie asked her son. "It sounded like it was coming from inside the building."

Danny's face hardened. "That's because it was." He said coldly. "The Guards inside were ushering people into the Gym when they were under attack. I helped them out when they got pinned down." Danny showed them his hand, which was only partially healed. "The bastards were using ectoplasm-coated bullets. They killed one of the residents." As they were taking in this new information, Danny could faintly hear banging as people started to bring down the blocked doors, which suddenly reminded him.

"Hey," he said suddenly, garnering their attention. "You don't happen to know what Paul's plan was about the ghosts do you?"

Before they could answer, Danny's eyes were drawn to something silver under one of the chintz-patterned chairs. On closer inspection, Danny realised it was a thermos. Flying over, the ghost wasted no time in uncapping the soup can and pressing the eject button, only for Johnny and Kitty to come tumbling out. Still disorientated, Danny pulled them up and hugged the after-life out of them.

"Thank goodness you two are all right." The ghost teen said.

"You and me both pal." Johnny said, groaning slightly. He never thought he would have to experience being sucked into a thermos again.

"What happened?"

"We went to the Chemistry Room to look for your folks, but when we got there, no one was home," Kitty started. "Just as we were leaving, we got sucked into our favourite Fenton contraption." Before he could ask them anything else, Danny noticed another thermos under the table which held the coffee machine. Without hesitating, Danny levitated it over and uncapped it to reveal Dani and Krystal. After regaling their accounts of what happened to them, and hugging the ectoplasm out of them, Danny began to get nervous about Ember. Before he could ask anything, he felt a tap on his shoulder. Turning, he came face to face with Valerie holding a third thermos. Smiling gratefully, he took the cylinder and uncapped it. The moment Ember was freed, she lit her hands up with pink energy, ready to take down anyone in an instant. However, the one thing she wasn't expecting, was for a set of strong arms bringing her into a tight hug. It was only the flash of white hair that Ember realised it was Danny. It was only at that moment, having Ember in his arms, did Danny realise how much he actually cared for Ember, and how he would feel if something happened to her.

"I'm so glad you're okay," he said breathlessly, his head buried in her neck, thinking how perfect she felt against his body. "I was so worried they had done something to hurt you." The moment she heard this, all hesitant and confused feelings about Danny evaporated instantly as Ember melted into his embrace. The feeling she was currently experiencing was right up there with the kiss they had shared earlier. The ghosts looked on with elation in their eyes, planning on how they could get the ghosts together, thinking it was blatantly obvious that the two had a thing for each other. Jazz and Tucker were of the same mind-set, whereas the elder Fentons were just confused. Valerie on the other hand just smirked, whereas Sam was staring at the duo, feelings akin to confusion, but with streaks of sadness and envy mixed in too. Sam knew exactly what the look Danny had given Ember was when he saw she was unharmed. It was the same look he used to give her when he thought she was hurt. Sam couldn't help but cough when she felt the hug had gone on for far too long, and inwardly congratulated herself when the two jumped apart at her disruption, both sets of cheeks flushed. However, she failed to notice the glares being sent in her direction from the five ghosts, and the bemused looks Jazz and Valerie were giving her.

Still oblivious, Sam spoke. "What do we do next?"

The look of embarrassment on Danny's face was instantly dispelled as a cold look replaced it. "Right now, I would like to have a conversation with a certain preacher."

I sincerely hope you enjoyed this chapter. Thank you very much for reading it, and I sincerely hope you continue to read. Until next time.
