Chapter 7: Bath

Living all together as a family had been nice so far, enjoyable even. Of course, it had taken a while for things to get into a routine, so they didn't always get in each others way, and maybe, Naruto didn't always appreciated Sasuke invading his personal pace every minuet of the day/night and took to hiding somewhere unknown for a few hours, but by now, they had settled down and were happy.

Naruto still hid some times, but not as often, which made Sasuke happy. What really pleased him though was the fact that due to them now living together, Naruto had gotten to know him better and had even opened up to him, it turned out that the golden kitten was actually quite playful and mischievous.

However, this behaviour didn't always work out well for him. Today being one of those days….

Since Kyuubi was actually quite the clean freak, every few weeks, Sasuke and Naruto would have to suffer and go through the darkest depth of hell…

Bath time…

The two would do their best to avoid it. No way did they want to go through with it; however they always ended up suffering. Normally it was either because whilst hiding, Sasuke would try to squeeze in next to Naruto even though there wasn't enough space, or because Naruto was running away for the same reason, trying to find a new spot. In the end all that mattered was that who ever was caught first was a goner. End of. The other still had a chance to hide.

So as soon as they saw the look the humans shared before Kyuubi mad his way to the kitchen, Itachi making his way over slowly, so not to cause them to run, they fled.

They couldn't leave the house as the windows and doors had been closed in preparation for this. So they decided to hide under the bed in the guest room.

Naruto kept his ears up in alert, listening for when footsteps could be heard near by. Sasuke was content on snuggling up to Naruto's side.

Naruto could hear Itachi get closer now, he was only two rooms away and would soon end up finding them. However, as he glances at the bigger cat that was pressing up against him he got an idea. His eyes had a slight glint in them, like most cats do when they plot something evil, as he decided to try out his cunning plan.

"Sasuke?" Naruto looked at said cat, with big innocent eyes.

"Yes, Naru-kitty?"

"You know the other day you said you would do anything for me…"

"Of course. Any thing to prove my self to you love" Sasuke looked at Naruto, determination and warmth showing in his eyes.

Naruto smiled sweetly and rubbed his head against Sasuke's, "Would you climb the tallest tree?"

Sasuke, inwardly beaming at the smaller cats actions, purred, answering, "Of course"

"Would you catch me a bird if I asked you to?"

"The biggest one I can find"

Naruto listened out for the footsteps that were almost to the room they were hiding in. "Will you please take five steps back?"

"Sure" Doing as asked, Sasuke stepped back, not seeming to realise he was no longer under the protection of the bed, in his display of loyalty.

Naruto smirked, his tail twitched in amusement as he asked the final question, "Sasuke, would you take a bath for me?"

"Of course I- wait, what?"

But before he could say anything else he suddenly found him self being lifted into the air and brought face to face with his human. Itachi smirked at his cat, "Come on Sasuke, bath time"

Sasuke tried to wriggle free from Itachi's grasp, attempting to jump over his shoulder and run back to the space under the bed, but it was no use.

Naruto moved out from the bed and sat down, watching as Sasuke was taken away from the room, his eyes not holding back his amusement at the black cats expense.

Oh well. It was a sacrifice he had been willing to make.
