A net. I land on a net. I look up as joy floods across my face , even though I didnt jump first. Although, as exhilarating as that was, I will be in no rush to do that again.
I can't stay on this net forever, I will have to stand on solid ground again.
A hand reaches over the top of the net, and grasping it I manage to drag myself across to the other side with the hand as guidance.
Attached to the other end of the hand is a man, probably in his early twenties. "Thanks," I say. "What's your name?" His voice echos through the cavern, bouncing off the walls.
"Tobias.." I mutter, ashamed that he may know my father.
"Well Tobias, you're gonna have to talk louder than that if you want to fit in around here," His mouth curved round into a smile as patted my back and said "Welcome to Dauntless".
