Three days later

Randy sat on the couch in the hospital room staring down at his phone and shaking. Hunter was calling him for the twentieth time today and it was only nine in the morning. John was pacing back and forth in front of him talking away on the phone with a police officer. Randy looked at the patched up cut on the side of John's head, the one Brock had caused moments ago. The two of them were just leaving the hospital when John was attacked and knocked completely out. Brock was close friends with Hunter and had a slew of his own followers as well. Randy first met him when Hunter handed him over for a night as a peace offering. Now Hunter was always violent with him but that one night with Brock was more terrifying and horrific then anything Hunter's ever done to him. He also knew that Hunter always sent Brock after someone when he was really pissed off. He was scared but not for him, for John. Looking back down at his still trembling hands he sat the phone beside him and wiped his face. "I should go." He whispered.

John turned to Randy and lowered the phone from his ear. "What?"

"Look at your face." Randy says getting up. "I never should have left, you're hurt because of me. I needs to leave before it gets worse." He started to leave but John grabbed his arm. "John?"

"There's no way in hell that I'm letting you back out there." John says. "I don't care what he does to me, as long as you're safe."

Randy tried to pull free but John wouldn't let him go. "I don't want you to get hurt again because as long as I'm here they'll never go away. I've seen things, I know things, things that can get me killed. It's better for us both if I go."

Reaching up he wiped away the tears that fell from Randy's eyes. "No, it's better for us that you stay here with me. I know we kind of just met and all but I honestly think I'm falling in love with you, is that crazy?"

Randy smiled for the first time that morning. "It's not crazy but only because I think I'm falling in love with you too."

John sighed and pressed his head against Randy's. "We're going to get through this together, I promise." Leaning forward he pressed a soft kiss to Randy's lips. "I promise."

Randy looked towards the couch again when his phone stared vibrating. When he looked at it he saw it was a text so he read it. 'I was short nine hundred dollars because of your little boyfriend. Next time I see him I'm going to stop his face into the ground.' After reading it he handed the phone to John.

John read over it and turned the phone completely off but before he could say anything someone started burst into the room. "Austin, what you doing here?"

"I heard that you were in the hospital." Austin says. "What the hell happened John?"

"I had a run in with a wildebeests on steroids when we were leaving the hospital a while ago." John says. "We came up here to get Randy checked out and when we were leaving he showed up out of nowhere and clocked me."

"Who was this guy anyway?" Austin asks.

"His name is Brock and his a friend of Hunter's." Randy says. "Hunter only sends Brock after people when he's pissed off and he's pissed off because I cost him nine hundred dollars by walking out on him. Hunter has always been crazy but Brock is a thousand times more dangerous then he is. When he sets his sights on something he's not going to stop until he's gotten what he wants and he wants John dead because of me."

"Then maybe you should just leave before he does end up dead." Austin snaps.

"Austin!" John yells.

"No, you don't know anything about this guy John. Hell for all you know he may be scamming your ass right now and you wouldn't know it." Austin yells. "He's a fucking prostitute who's probably been with a million guys and you slept with him. Did you even use protection because there's not telling what he has!"

"I don't have anything!" Randy yelled.

"Awe that's busllshit." Says Austin. "John please don't tell me you're going to sit here and listen to this crap?"

John looked from Randy then back to Austin. "Austin I think you should go."

Austin scoffed. "Seriously, you're going to choose some guy you don't know over a guy you've known your whole life." John just stared at him. "Alright fine, but when you end up in a situation you can't get yourself out of don't expect me to come to your rescue." Turning on his heels he left the room, slamming the door close behind him.

John turned to face Randy who was sitting back on the couch. He walked over and sat next to him. "Randy, don't listen to-"

"He's right." Randy says, his voice barely above a whisper. "All of this will go away if I go back to him."

"Randy I'm not going to let you leave and even if you do find a way to get away from me I'm not going to just give up on you." John says. "I'll fight for you, no matter what it takes until you come back to me."

Randy looked down. "You can have anyone you want John, why me when my life is so screwed up?"

"Can I tell you something?" John says and Randy's nods. "I've been with a few guys but I've never kissed anyone before you. Growing up I always told myself that when I do have my first kiss it would be with someone I'd want to spend the rest of my life with and the moment I saw you I knew that you were the one for me." Smiling he shook his head. "I know you're probably thinking that I'm crazy for thinking of that since we've known each other for a short time but I don't know how else to explain it, I don't want to lose you."

Randy looked down at their hands that were intertwined together and smiled. "Thank you."

Just then the door opened and a woman walked in. "Okay John an officer is here to get your statement and once you're done you'll need to sign some paper and they you guys can get out here."

"Okay." John says and when she left he turned back to Randy. "You and me Randy."

Randy nodded. "Yeah, you and me."

Fifteen minutes later John was cleared to leave but as they were about to leave Randy told John he would meet him downstairs because there was something he had to do. Once he was done the two of them headed back to John's apartment.

...

Hunter was in the basement of his home counting out his earning for the day. Ever since Randy left he's lost half of his profits and he was pissed. Looking up he saw his wife walking down the stairs. "I thought I told you not to bother me when I'm down here Stephanie."

Stephanie stopped and looked down. "I know but Brock is upstairs and he wants to talk to you."

"I'll be up." Hunter says and when she walked back upstairs he put his money back in the safe and headed upstairs. Brock was sitting on the couch waiting for him. "Hey, what happened with you today?"

Brock stood up and walked over to Hunter. "Nothing I just took a little trip down to the hospital and ran into John and Randy."

Hunter smiled. "And what did you do?"

"Let's just say I took him out so Randy and I could have a few words." Brock says following Hunter to the kitchen. "That little shit is going to pay for crossing us, right?"

"Yeah." Hunter says.

"Sir?" Cody says walking up to the two large males. "You have a phone call." Cody was Hunter's second favorite object, as Hunter likes to call them, and with Randy gone he's been taking out all his anger on him. Cody lived with Hunter just like Randy did because they didn't have anywhere else to go.

Hunter took the phone from Cody and smiled. "Cody, why don't you give Mr. Lesnar something to drink and make him more comfortable while I take this phone call."

Cody watched him go then looked to Brock who stood there, arms folded over his chest. "Would you like a beer Mr. Lesnar?"

"Sure." Brock says. "And I'll take it and you too the bedroom."

Cody was terrified and it showed all over his face. He's been with Brock only twice and both times nearly killed him so he wasn't looking forward to this.

...

John entered his apartment and went right to the fridge because he was starving. He was making himself and Randy a something when he noticed him still standing at the door, eyes down. "Randy, what is it?"

Randy couldn't stop thinking about Brock's haunting words in the parking lot and as much as he wanted to tell John about he didn't. He gripped the papers tighter in his hands and felt himself on the verge of tears. Feeling a hand on his face he looked up to see John watching him.

"What is it?" John says again. He looked at the papers in Randy's hand and reached for them. "What are those?"

Randy opened his hand and let John take the papers from him. He studied John's face as he read through the papers before looking back at him. "I know I've been with a lot of guys but I'm completely clean."

"You didn't have to do this." John says. "I told you not to listen to Austin, I trust you."

"But he's right, you don't know anything about me." Replies Randy. John placed his hands on his face and pulled him into a kiss. His arms instantly went around John's neck, pulling him closer. The kiss lasted a while until the need to breathe made Randy break it.

"I might not know everything about you now but I want to." John whispers. "I want to know all your fears, all your likes and dislikes, your dreams and everything else in between. I want to be someone you can talk to when you're upset or scared. I want to be that one person you can count on, that one person that will always be there for you, that will always love you and treasure everything that you do. Let me be that guy for you and I promise that you will never have to live in fear again." Randy remained silent so John pulled him close and wrapped his arms around him. Randy wrapped his arms around John's neck and buried his face in the crook of his neck. As much as he wanted John to be everything to him his fear of Hunter's rage and Brock's threat coming true made him think otherwise. He didn't want to lose John but he didn't want John to get hurt again because of him. He just didn't know what to do.

A/N Okay I know it's been since 2013 since I've updated this story but I've gotten a second wind so I'll be posting more to this and my other stories soon.
