In a panicked state, a man runs towards the sphere only to trip and reveal another figure.

Something keeps the words locked in the teens' throats as they watch the event unfold.

Sparking electrical wires briefly light up the silhouette of a woman. She slowly but menacingly approaches the man as he cowers and a flicker of light reflects off something curved and metallic.

"Are those….hooks?" asks Artemis in disbelief.

With light flashing in short-lived moments, the woman seems to jump to different spots like a movie skipping parts.

Trying to reason with her, the man puts a hand out as if willing her to stop.

In the next instance of light, the man's feet are elevated off the ground as he dangles from the woman's hooks. Blood drips from his boots onto the ground before she flings his body aside.

"Did we just witness a murder?" questions Wally, wide-eyed as he exchanges glances with Robin.

Robin's reply is delayed by the woman turning her attention to the team.

Letting out a screech, she vanishes into the shadows between flashes of light. A thunk is followed by violent shakes of the bathysphere.

"She's above us!" points out M'gann.

Conner watches through narrowed eyes as holes are torn throughout the vessel.

"Looks like she really wants to meet us," adds Wally half-heartedly.

With Kaldur's hands on his hammers, Robin clasping a Batarang behind his back, and Artemis notching an arrow, the team preps for a fight.

However, just as quickly as it had started, the assault abruptly stops and the ragged woman runs off.

No one dares move a muscle, especially when the door randomly opens of its own accord.

"The welcoming party sure was friendly," declares Wally sarcastically.

After surveying the area, Kaldur takes lead and climbs out of the damaged bathysphere.

As soon as his foot sets down in Rapture, Robin blinks slowly. Something felt ghostly familiar about this city. After a period of thinking, he decides it's just how similar the atmosphere was to Gotham.

Carefully stepping over debris and wreckage, the team journeys deeper into Rapture.

"Our mission is to explore and investigate. We're going to look around for a few moments, make our report, and get out of here," instructs Kaldur.

Robin raises his hand.

"Kaldur? Just how exactly are we getting back to the surface?" asks Robin, pointing at the ruined bathysphere.

"There has to be other pods like that one," answers Kaldur, as he leads the team into another room, up a flight of stairs.

"This place is a mess," points out Wally.

"Yeah, kind of like your room, Kid," teases Robin playfully.

Wally sticks his tongue out at the caped boy wonder.

Despite the bright, relaxed smile on his face, Robin isn't at ease. Some kind of instinct was pulling him towards an unknown objective. Also, he couldn't stop noiticing how familiar everything seems.

Taking a step, Kaldur starts walking into another room, but Robin grabs his arm to stop him.

"The station is this way," blurts out Robin without thinking, pointing to the nearby pressure door.

Pausing the give Robin a puzzled look, Kaldur follows Robin's directions instead. Sensing the boy with ebony hair knew where he was going, Kaldur fell back to let Robin take the lead.

"It's way too quiet around here," points out Artemis, casting a suspicious glance at her surroundings.

"Where is everyone?" wonders M'gann out loud as she hovers over the ground.

"And why did they leave in the middle of a party?" asks Wally as he studies the balloons and streamers decorating a dining room.

After staring curiously at a party hat sitting on a table, Conner lifts it to his head and tries to envision a lively party. A few moments later, he transfers it to Wally's head.

"Um, thanks?" Playing with the chin strap, Wally tries to look up at the hat resting upon his head.

Poking and probing at dishes on the tables, Robin compares theories in his head. Looking up, he points at a banner hanging nearby.

"The food is still fresh, but that sign reads '1969'. Who celebrates New Year's forty-four years late?" questions Robin, an eyebrow raised.

"Doctor Who?" suggests Wally with a shrug.

Everyone turns to stare in confusion at Wally.

"What?" Wally returns their confused look.

Walking over, Robin reaches up to ruffles the red-head's hair.

"Such a science nerd," teases Robin before muttering to Wally, "I bet you're looking for his special police box."

"It's called the T.A.R.D.U.S. and I've narrowed my search to a few known locations," adds Wally defensively.

Opening his mouth to speak, Robin's attention turns elsewhere. Falling silent, he watches a small, bare-footed girl ship passed an archway. A few moments later, an intimidating, rounded shadow appears on the wall and grows closer. However, before Robin has a chance to see what it is, something heavy flattens him to the ground.

"Where's the Adam?!" demands a masked figure as he holds a gun to Robin's head.

Annoyed he had let his guard down, Robin furiously lashes out and manages to kick his assailant off. Jumping to his feet, blue eyes scan the room only to find Kaldur and the team locked in battle with more masked attackers.

"Talk about party crashers," complains Wally as he trips a bunny-masked man into the water.

Personally introducing his fist to a man's masked face, Conner sends him flying across the room and cracks his mask.

"What's wrong with all these people?!" growls Artemis as she fires a special arrow that explodes into foam, gluing a couple raiders to the wall.

Several crazed men and women pile onto Conner only to be flung aside as he breaks free.

Using her telekinesis, M'gann tosses plates and cups at the frenzied people, knocking out a few.

Tensing his muscles, Robin prepares to join the fight but takes only a step before stopping.

"You've returned. I've only ever heard stories of you, but I can recognize the power within you."

Searching wildly with his eyes, Robin fails to pinpoint the source of the voice.

"Don't be afraid; I'm on your side."

"I wasn't afraid," points out Robin, "I just don't trust your voice."

"Mother claims a failure, but I only see you were a success."

"Success in what?" asks Robin, as he slips away from the fighting to stand just outside the archway.

"It's better if we speak face-to-face. I can't speak for long like this; it exhausts me too much. Come fine me and I'll answer all of your questions."

Still suspicious of the feminine voice, Robin hesitantly leaves the room before anyone can notice. Racing down the hallway, Robin can only trust his instincts to lead him in the right direction.

Collapsing to his knees. Robin tries to stop his head from spinning. He blinks slowly against the dizziness and swallows against the nausea.

"Something is wrong…very wrong…" chokes out Robin before he passes out.
