Bruce dropped his brief case on his desk. Falling back into his armchair, allowing gravity to do most of the work. He was called into the office early this morning to complete some emergency paper work. Which proved to be the cause of his current headache, the rushed knock at this door didn't help either.

"Enter."

Looking up to the guest required too much energy for Bruce's current state. Instead he allowed his eyes a rest,

"What would you like Alfred?"

"Could you please join me and the young Sir's upstairs Master Bruce?"

"I'm really exhausted Alfred, and I would like to look at Dick's case before I pass out."

"I insist."

Bruce brought his gaze up to his loyal butler and couldn't fail to notice the large grin on his face. A smile he hasn't seen since Dick disappeared.

Dick!

Hope surged through Bruce's body, giving him a newfound energy. Bruce didn't wait for Alfred to lead him. Instead he bolted to the upstairs to check the rooms. His heart stopped when we saw Dick's bedroom.

On the bed was all this boys sitting in the bed and talking. ALL this boys.

Dick was in the middle, his arms around his two littlest brothers and his legs resting upon the other's lap. Their radiating smiles laminating the whole room. All the boys were so enthralled with their catching up that they failed to notice Bruce in the doorway.

Bruce was so taken back by the sight that Alfred was able to sneak up behind him.

"What a glorious sight, isn't it Master Bruce."

The new voice in the room caused the boys on the bed to turn their heads around. Dick and Bruce's eyes connected.

"Bruce!"

Without a moments hesitation Bruce ran forward, while Dick tried to scramble off the bed. Dick didn't even make it to the foot of his bed before he was pulled into a tight embrace.

The two just held each other for several minutes,

"I've missed you Dick."

"I've missed you too Bruce"

Bruce felt this balance shift as the hug pulled him down onto the bed towards the others. He was in a peaceful bliss, surrounded by this family.

But his peace was ruined by two words from Jason's mouth.

"DOG PILE!"

"So the game is simple, all the cards have a matching pair. Turn all the cards face down and try to find their pair, but you're only allowed to have two cards facing up at a time. It's called the memory game, hence how it should help with your short term memory."

Tim and Dick sat facing each other with the game laid out in front of them in the library. With Jason relaxing on the couch reading one of his magazines.

"Come on Tim my short term memory isn't that bad."

Jason piped up from his spot on the couch, "What did you eat for breakfast Dick?"

"…. Shut up Jason."

"Face it Dickie your brains are scrambled, just like your eggs this morning, by the way."

"Oh that's right eggs and toast."

A few days after the return of Dick's mind the family noticed Dick struggling with short-term memory. And after the checkup with Leslie it was confirmed. The constant use of electrotherapy caused some damage on Dick's short-term memory. Leslie assured the Wayne's that it could be mended with memory exercises.

"Dick pay attention. We're starting off easy with only 30 cards and easily identifiable images, animals."

Tim volunteered to be the main help with Dick's memory improvement, since he had the spare time, unlike Alfred or Bruce, and more patience than either of his other brothers.

"Okay, I'm ready start the timer."

Instantly Dick started turning over cards two at a time to find their matches. This routine continued for 15 minutes with little progress.

Dick sighed is defeat, "Face it Timmy I suck at this!"

"It's not horrible for your first time, considering the circumstances."

"I didn't even get half the cards, and most of the ones I got were just plain luck! I used to be able to look at a photo for 30 seconds and could recall all the items on the picture. This blows!"

"Maybe picture of animals are the wrong things to work with Tim. Maybe Dick would remember photos of hot chicks better."

"Jason if you're going to keep interrupting then could you go to another room. It's breaking Dick's concentration."

"Fine, I was getting hungry anyway."

Jason stood up from his place and walked towards the exit, but shared one more comment before he left.

"Oh hey Barbra."

Dick snapped around in his chair to be greeting by his best friend wheeling towards him. Dick leaped out of his seat and ran into her arms.

"I'll give you two a minute. – Hey Jason, wait up!" Tim ran to catch up.

Dick looked up to his friend, gently caressing her face.

"It's you, it's really you."

"It's me" Barbra pressed her hand against his.

After a moment Dick stood up from his place, "Come in."

The pair shuffled towards the couch. Once settled Dick held onto Barbra's hand.

"I've missed you."

"I've missed you more." Dick pressed his lips to her hand. Dick intertwined their hands together, playing with them for several minutes, just enjoying each other's company.

After a few moments Dick broke the silence, "Barbra did you come by the Manor when I first got home to visit?"

Sorrow flood into her eyes.

"Yeah I did…. When I heard what had happened I didn't believe it, I had to come see you for myself. – Being able to see you but not being able to be with you, it was scary. That empty shell that you were, it was as if we lost you."

Silent tears started to run down the redheads face. Dick quickly wiped them away gently.

"Hey, hey it's okay. I'm back now. Sure there are a few kinks to work out but I'll make it."

Barbra pressed her lips to Dick's pulling him close to her, trying to be as close as possible. Breathing in his scent and comfort that she missed so much. Dick's hands fell to her lower back drawing her up and closer to him. Barbra's fingers brushed into his short black locks, anchoring her self onto him. The two broke apart after minutes only for the propose to refill their lungs.

The pair touched foreheads as they grinned at each other.

"I've been waiting along time to do that."

"Don't wait so long next time Babs"

"I won't" She gave him a gentle peck before sitting up straight.

"Uh Babs, you have a bit of mascara running down your face."

Her hand flew up to her face and rubbed under her eye, it came back black.

"I'm going to go clean up, just give me a minute."

"Okay I'll be here."

After a quick wash up in the bathroom Barbra headed back to the library. On her away back she ran into Tim heading in the same direction.

"Is the library safe to enter now?" A sly grin came upon Tim's face.

"Oh stuff it Tim, I know for a fact that you've walked in on Dick doing much worse than just kissing a girl."

Tim's face turned bright red, "Don't remind me."

Barbra just laughed at the kid's embarrassment. As they two walked closer to the library they heard a voice.

"Damian could you please kept your comments to your self. They're not helping with my concentration."

"Oh Boy, playing the memory game with Dick is testing my patience. I can't image how playing with Damian will end." Tim and Barbra picked up their pace to prevent a possible temper tantrum.

"Come on Dami don't be like that."

Tim and Barbra entered the library to see Dick sitting alone at the table playing with his cards. The two gave each other confused looks.

"Who you talking to Dick?"

Dick returned the confused look, "Uh… Damian."

"Where'd he go?"

"Come on Tim, I know you two don't get along that well but don't be rude."

Barbra wheeled herself closer to Dick, "What are you talking about Dick?"

"Guys! Damian sitting right there, stop ignoring him. It's not funny." Dick pointed to the empty seat across from him.

"Dick there's no one there."

Hey Guys, Thanks for all the reviews! And sorry for the long wait!

So there are a few more kinks to work out with Dick before the story is over. I'm guessing around 4 more chapters left. Unless there are review comments that inspire me to write an additional chapter.

Also going to move the story around to different Batman categories for the last few chapters. But it will end up where it started, don't worry.

Thank again, you guys are awesome!
