Raph's phone's rang. "Who dat?" Mikey wondered, coming over and looking at the phone. Raph was about to answer when it was snatched from him.
"Mikey!" He called, starting after the small turtle. Mikey had already ran into the kitchen and squeezed into a small spot where Raph couldn't reach. He touched the tiny green button and held the phone to his ear.
"Moshmosh." He answered, giggling at seeing Raph trying to grab him.
"Um, Raph?" April asked in a confused tone.
"I'mma Mi-ey." Mikey replied, "Who dis?" He asked, scooting further out of Raph's reach.
"Michelangelo, give me my T-phone right now!" Raph declared in the background.
"This is April." April responded, "Wait, was that Raph?" Mikey nodded. After a pause, he realized she couldn't hear his nod.
"Ye." He answered.
"Can I please talk to him?" She asked slowly.
"Ok." Mikey said, holding the phone out to Raph. Raph sighed in relief and pulled Mikey out, picking him up with one hand and holding his phone in the other.
"April?" He asked.
"Um, what was that about?" She wondered, "Was that really Mikey?" Raph sighed.
"I'll explain everything once you get here." He told her, walking back into the TV room and setting Mikey down.
"If you say so. See ya." She said.
"Wait, can you bring a pizza?" He asked, his stomach growling. April sighed and agreed.
"Piza wa nandesuka? (What's pizza?)" Leo wondered curiously.
"Ten wa sōsu to chīzu de ōwa rete. (Heaven covered in sauce and cheese)" Raph replied in Japanese from habit with talking with sensei. He repeated in English.
"But-" Donnie started, confused.
"It's an expression." Raph interrupted. Don nodded.
A few minutes passed. And you'd be surprised what all can happen in only a few minutes. Mikey had taken Raph's T-phone again when April called to ask what kind of pizza they wanted and while Mikey was running away with it, he dropped it and it broke. Raph grumbled some curses and Mikey repeated and got his mouth washed out with soap. Leo kept talking in Japanese to Donnie which made Donnie get frustrated and yell and cry so Raph had to leave a foamy mouthed and crying Mikey to separate his blue and purple brothers. Leo stood in the bathroom doorway while Donnie clung to Raph and wouldn't let go.
"Guys?" April called. Raph walked in, holding Leo's hand, holding Mikey under his arm, and having a small turtle holding onto him.
"Finally." He sighed. Mikey grinned and waved. Raph prayed that Mikey wouldn't repeat any of the new words he learned today to April and much less Splinter.
"Kon'nichiwa!" Leo declared. Donnie just buried his face in Raph's shoulder. April slightly smiled and waved, looking at Raph for an explanation.
"Okay guys, time to eat." He said, leading everyone to the kitchen. April sat the pizza boxes down on the table and opened them up. The three small turtles looked at it in awe.
"Kikendesu ka? (Is is dangerous?)" Leo wondered, watching the steam swirl into the air. Raph laughed a little, remembering him saying something similar when they first discovered pizza.
"Atsui tokiniha, sore o taberu baai ni nomi, (Only if you eat it when it's hot)" Raph answered. Leo nodded.
"You speak Japanese?" April asked, smmirking. Raph shrugged.
"Ca' I twy i'?" Mikey asked, raising his hand.
"Lemme get some plates." He said, turning and grabbing some then passing them out. April cut out some smaller pieces and handed them to the tots, each saying thank you. Well, Leo said it in Japanese but she knew what he meant. Once the pizza was cooled off and they;d started eating, Raph pulled her into the hallway.
"What the heck?" She asked him. Raph sighed.
"Something with this kraang thing, I don't know. Before Don went all toddler mind on me, he made blueprints or whatever to reverse this. Can you please watch them while I try to fix this?" He explained. April rose an eyebrow.
"Fine, but you owe me." She said, pointing at him. He nodded, thanking her then disappearing into Donnie's lab. April walked back into the kitchen. Mikey had pizza sauce all over his face, Leo hadn't taken a bite of his and was rambling on about who knows what, and Donnie had taken a bite and was just poking at it.
"Leo, you gotta eat." April said, getting two slices for her and sitting down.
"Shikashi, sore wa ima amarini mo samuidesu. (But it's too cold now)" Leo replied. April took a bite of hers.
"No Japanese with me, okay? I'm not very good at it." April told him. He slowly nodded.
"Ok." He mumbled, holding his pizza and taking a small bite.
"Aw you da lady on da fone?" Mikey wondered, pointing at her. April nodded, "Hi, I'm Mikey!" He said.
"I know, and that's Leo and Donnie." She said, nodding to said turtles.
"Haw do ya kno us?" Leo asked, confused.
"Uh, Raph told me about you guys." April replied, taking another bite.
"Whew's Waphie?" Donnie asked quietly.
"He's busy right now. I'm gonna hang out with you for a while, okay?" April said with a kind smile.
"I wanna hang ot wif Waphie." Donnie said, sniffling. April scooted over to him and put an around his shoulder.
"He'll only be gone a little while, it's okay." She assured him. Don nodded, resting his head against her and sticking his thumb in his mouth. April lightly pushed his hand down, "Don't do that, you'll get a gap in your teeth." She stated. He nodded, holding the bear Mikey lent him tighter.
"What. The. Hell." Raph muttered, staring at Donnie's instructions.
